The UN mission 30 years late to Nagorno-Karabakh - arriving after the entire Armenian population has been ethnically cleansed - is also fake, consisting of only the countries most closely allied to Azerbaijan: Turkey, Russia, Hungary, Pakistan, Albania.
Azerbaijan would not accredit UN representatives from other countries to go there.
Again the scripting by Aliyev here makes pro wrestling look like Shakespeare.

Anika Sen is an Indian Stand User, having been born in Calcutta, in the midst of the tensions between India and Pakistan, leading to the Indo-Pakistan War in 1971. In fact, she was born on the day India won against Pakistan in that war. So, her birthday was considered a miracle by her family members.
Her father, Prabir, a businessman, is a Hindu from West Bengal, and her mother, Swati, a self defense instructor, is a Christian from Mumbai, Maharashtra. As Prabir’s ancestors were radicals and thus opposing of her parent’s marriage, they escaped to Mumbai for protection.
She has an elder sister named Antara who is eight years older than her and is very close. She’s gotten married twice, and her second husband, Shaan's been a blessing in disguise, with them eventually having a son, Shaurya.
Her best friend is Karan Bose, whose father met Anika’s father, and they became friends-colleagues-business partners in the oil industry. Karan and she have been friends since they were born and were considered to be inseparable as kids.
Anika’s been a victim of bullying as a result of a couple of incidents and it’s because of this, she never wanted to feel helpless again, so she decided to learn MMA from her mother.
How Did They Get Their Stands?
To celebrate her arrival back to Calcutta and the fact that Anika and Karan scored well in their board examinations, Karan’s and Anika’s family traveled to Egypt, only to find DIO’s minions kidnapping Anika's parents.
Karan, Anika, Antara and Shaan ran to find them only to find DIO having shot arrows at her parents, that’s when they ran to protect them, thereby all of them gaining what they thought were evil spirits, but what is now known to them as Stands, the manifestation of our souls.
However, her father became sick, because he was a gentler soul, which if not treated, could cause him to succumb to the sickness. At the same time, a flesh bud was planted on Karan for sinister reasons.
All of them then started their training to use their Stands to great extents, that's when her mother told her about their long-term association with Mr. Robert E.O. Speedwagon and the Speedwagon Foundation. Speedwagon was friends with her great-great-grandfather, who helped him build the foundation and her grandfather helped in growing it the way it was today.
That's when they heard stories of the Joestar clan and how DIO was initially Dio Brando, Jonathan Joestar's adoptive brother, but they ended up being opponents once Dio stole a stone mask and turned into a vampire. They were told that Jonathan was then trained in Hamon and seemed to have been victorious over Dio, until 100 years later when a coffin was found from deep underneath the sea, causing the renamed DIO to escape, develop a Stand, and hire others, possessing them with flesh buds, to exterminate the existence of the Joestar clan and those willing to stand alongside them.
They then established contact with Joseph Joestar, Jonathan's grandson, who told them that his daughter, Holly Kujo also developed a Stand, but the Stand is acting upon her, causing her to fall ill the same way her dad fell ill. In fact, DIO's head now possessed Jonathan's body, so when DIO activated his Stand, the Joestar clan activated their Stands too, including his grandson, Jotaro Kujo.
Join Anika as she takes revenge on Dio, joins the Stardust Crusaders, learns about the potential of her Stand, gets over the skeletons in her closet, and hopefully, along the way, fall in love with a certain someone.

10. ISIS establishment of a 'Caliphate' where Christians weren’t welcome
When ISIS began to control territory in 2014 and establish its so-called caliphate, Christian homes and businesses were marked with the nuun symbol, the Arabic-letter-N for “Nazarene” that signified followers of Jesus.
Traditional Christians were offered the choice to flee and forfeit their homes or pay a jizya subjugation tax and remain in the caliphate. Former Muslim converts to Christianity were also given two choices: return to Islam immediately or be killed. Tens of thousands of Christians fled their homes in Iraq and Syria, moving to camps within their nation or in surrounding nations. Many of those are still trying to recover and put their lives back together.
At the height of the ISIS onslaught, I interviewed an Iraqi pastor. As we finished our conversation I asked him how American Christians could pray. I won’t ever forget his first request: “Pray that God will call Christians to stay here.” There were so many good and logical reasons to flee. Many of his church members had left for Europe or North America. But he was asking us to pray that some Christians would feel called to stay and to continue Gospel outreach in their nation.
9. Churches closed in Iran; church explodes in Iran
The church in Iran exploded in growth over the past 10 years as the people of the Islamic Republic have lost faith in their Islamic government — and also in Islam itself. In 2013, Tehran’s Assemblies of God church building was closed — one of the last “building churches” holding services in Farsi that remained open in the country.
Today, all building churches are closed. All Christian meetings occur in private homes, in parks or some other location, and all of them are illegal. House church leaders are arrested, interrogated and imprisoned, yet the Church continues to grow. There are estimates that as many as 1 million Iranians are now following Jesus Christ.
8. Pastor Andrew Brunson arrested, tried and eventually released in Turkey
It is difficult to imagine being more high-profile than having President Trump tweet about your case. When Andrew and Norine Brunson went to the police station in October 2016, they thought they were about to receive permanent resident status in Turkey. Instead Andrew would be held for two years in prison, charged with helping to lead a coup against Turkish President Erdogan.
Since his release, pastor Brunson has been open about the great difficulty he endured in prison; wrestling with his own faith in God and at one point even wondering if he was losing his sanity.
7. Omar al-Bashir removed from power in Sudan after decades of targeting Christians
Bashir’s Islamist government had long targeted Christians in South Sudan; with the separation of that area into a separate, new nation in 2011, Bashir’s government turned more attention to Christians in his new, smaller country.
Meriam Ibrahim was arrested for apostasy and sentenced to execution. Czech Christian Petr Jasek — my coworker at The Voice of the Martyrs — was sentenced to life in prison for alleged espionage before the Czech government arranged for his release. Two Christians charged with colluding with Petr were also found guilty, sent to prison, and later released.
But late in 2018, Sudan’s people rose up and demanded a change. Bashir’s government was removed from power in 2019, with surprisingly-little bloodshed. The former dictator was arrested and is locked in one of the prisons where Petr was held.
6. John Chau’s martyrdom on North Sentinel Island
It was just before Thanksgiving in 2018 when the world learned that a young American had been killed by islanders on North Sentinel Island, a small island belonging to India whose inhabitants are completely cut off from the world.
The initial news reports painted John Chau as an adventure-seeker or some kind of Christian Indiana Jones. There was criticism, including from many in the Christian community. What was he thinking? What kind of diseases did he expose the North Sentinelese to? Why take such risks?
The details that have emerged since paint a much deeper portrait of a young man who’d been preparing for years to go to the island to share God’s love with the North Sentinelese people. And today, thousands of Christians are praying for the people on an island that they had never heard of before John Chau landed his kayak on the beach there.
5. Hindu nationalism’s rise to power in India
When Narendra Modi was elected Prime Minister in India, he presented himself as the can-do, pro-business leader who’d brought electricity to thousands of citizens in his home state of Gujarat.
What he didn’t talk about as much, but was well-known by India’s voters, was his background in the Hindu-nationalist RSS movement that aims to make every Indian citizen a Hindu and make non-Hindus feel as unwelcome as possible.
After his initial election in 2014, Modi was re-elected in 2019 with an even stronger majority, and he’s keeping campaign promises to his RSS base by ending Muslim autonomy in Kashmir and now offering citizenship to non-Muslims from surrounding countries.
Indian Christians received a clear message as they watched Modi’s government take action: you aren’t welcome, and you won’t be protected. Hindu nationalists also received a message: attacks on Christians or other religious minorities will be tolerated and even encouraged by Modi and his RSS-backed government.
4. Changes in China
The past 10 years have seen an alarming increase of persecution of Christians (and Muslims) in China, spearheaded by Communist Party Chairman Xi Jinping. New laws on religion took affect at the beginning of 2018 and have led to marked increases in church demolitions, arrests of church leaders and control over all religious activities in China. Concurrently, China has created a surveillance state that tracks every Chinese citizen everywhere in China, making underground Christian work significantly more difficult.
Numerous unregistered churches have been closed down, and several well-known Chinese pastors are in prison. In addition to persecuting Christian citizens, China has attempted to force out foreign Christians, with numerous foreigners finding that their visas have been revoked or won’t be renewed.
3. Asia Bibi’s blasphemy case in Pakistan
Asia Bibi’s persecution saga spanned almost all of the decade as she was arrested in 2009, then sentenced to death by a lower court. Her appeal process took years before the Supreme Court of Pakistan finally ruled in October 2018 that there was no basis for the blasphemy charges against her and ordered her release.
But even after their order, it took more than six months before she was allowed to leave Pakistan for an undisclosed new home where her protection can be better insured.
In spite of the eventual just outcome in Asia’s case, the blasphemy laws that sent her to prison and are often used as a cudgel to settle disputes are still on the books in Pakistan.
2. Chibok girls kidnapped in Nigeria, just one chapter in the story of the rise of Boko Haram and Islamist jihadists within the Fulani tribe
The rise of social media in this decade placed this 2014 story of 276 kidnapped girls — many of whom were Christians — in front of millions of people, as thousands — including former first lady Michelle Obama — tweeted the hashtag #bringbackourgirls.
Five years later, too many of those girls are still missing, and the problem of Islamist jihad attacks not only continues in Northern Nigeria but has spread to Niger, Mali, Burkina Faso and other nearby nations.
Christians are targeted, and Nigeria’s government has shown neither the will nor the ability to put a stop to the attacks — something that is unlikely to change with the arrival of 2020.
1. 21 men killed on the beach in Libya by ISIS butchers
Like Leni Riefenstahl in 1930s Germany, the terrorists of ISIS clearly understand the power of moving pictures. The group made sure to release a high-definition record of their evil, from the burning of a Jordanian pilot to the beheadings of western hostages.
Images from the 2015 murder of 21 “people of the cross” on a beach in Libya is seared into the memory of millions. The men — 20 Coptic Christians from Egypt and one Christian from Ghana — were hailed as martyrs and heroes back home. The video captured some of them saying, in the final seconds of their earthly life, “Jesus help me.”
Christians around the world were inspired by their courageous faith. They could have saved their lives by accepting Islam. Yet, knowing what awaited them, they chose the way of Christ.
There will be more stories of Christian persecution in 2020 and beyond — Jesus’ promises are always true. And Christians in free nations will have more opportunities to be inspired — and to pray for — Christians who choose Christ over their comfort or even their lives.

5 Killer Quora Answers on upsc material
The boundaries of India were being under no circumstances clearly defined. In ancient instances, something past Indus was India. Maurya and Gupta dynasties built-in The entire subcontinent into their empire and India arguably was at its peak in artwork and civilization. The arrival of Moghuls in medieval occasions intended new heights in lifestyle and refinement at the price of spiritual and ethnic intolerance. The autumn of Moghuls from the late sixteenth and early seventeenth generations meant disintegration with the empire into various more compact states. The European traders: Portuguese, French, British, Dutch and Danish seized the alternatives together with they may. The British prevailed among the them all with A few port enclaves coming under the possession of French and Portuguese. Dutch and Danish experienced little if any Handle all over their trade ports and factories and so they co-existed in addition to other traders. By the middle of your nineteenth century, half of your Indian peninsula was beneath British control and the other half consisted of princely-states. British diplomacy meant that these states were kind of suzerain-states of British Empire. Their loyalties and independence dependent on the treaties they underwent with them. Twentieth century noticed a wave versus colonialism around the globe and wrestle for independence in British Empire intended two independent states: India and Pakistan in 1947; divided on the lines of religion. Pakistan consisting of predominantly Muslim populace and India consisting of a greater part of Hindu, a substantial but minority population of Muslims, and Sikhs, Jains, Buddhists, Parsis, Christians and several other ethnic and spiritual groups as minorities. At the time of independence, there have been near to 570 existent princely states; in space as small as Vatican Metropolis to as large as France. The British experienced appreciable suzerainty more than about two hundred of those states. These states got the selection to possibly sign up for India or Pakistan, mainly in accordance With all the religious things to consider. They could even pick out to remain unbiased of the two, if they preferred so.
Chief Architects
Vallabhbhai Patel and his secretary VP Menon (a renowned civil servant) took the activity of unification of India for The very first time following hundreds of years. It even further helped the nation experienced relatively pro-Indian governor: Lord Mountbatten. Mountbatten utilised his affect on the princely states to coax them into becoming a member of India as a lot of this sort of states might be politically and economically unsustainable as a result of geographical constraints. He also declared the British Empire will likely not enter into diplomatic relations with any these kinds of states and will not likely include things like them in Commonwealth, which intended no political recognization. Some states felt betrayed since they generally had usually viewed as the British to become their ally. Winston Churchill lamented Mountbatten and as opposed the functions of his and Congress to that from the Nazis. In the subsequent two years, Patel and Menon flied all over the place nonstop and applied each and every trick within the book to power the princely states into becoming a member of India. It more helped that most of these rulers had been infamous for their brutality in excess of their populace as well as their persons noticed a merger into India to be a brighter assure. Some states voluntarily acceded, some had been threatened, some have been allowed to have their privy-purses and pensions. Some were furnished much more autonomy (which India could stop anyway down the road). Opposite to Nehruvian philosophy of tranquil negotiations, for Patel, the suggests didn't make any difference. Only the end did. The combination of India is arguably the best illustration of diplomacy witnessed anyplace inside the background of the entire world. The key reason why which bring about onset of British Empire in India, also bring on the autumn of princely states into India: lack of unity One of the states.
Rajputana States
Jinnah was keen to entice the greater border states into Pakistan, mainly: Jodhpur(Marwar) and Jaisalmer. He reportedly signed a blank white paper and cajoled the Maharaja of Jodhpur to indicator accession at any ailments he wanted and in addition promised him superior conditions of autonomy and Life-style. Jinnah thought that both of these border states could even further set method to accession of other Rajputana states and This might compensate him to the loss of Punjab and Bengal. Mounbattern swiftly pointed out that signing up for of greater part Hindu states into Pakistan would undermine the existence of two state's principle dependant on religion. The Maharaja of Jaisalmer even further believed that This could become a betrayal to this populace together with other Rajputana states will forgo ties with him. The young twenty-two yr outdated Maharaja of Jodhpur, Hanwant Singh, wanted his big state to remain autonomous or at the least wanted to negotiate improved terms in order to guide his lavish Life style. Patel made absolutely sure that Jodhpur didn't turn out to be Hyderabad and also a diplomatic mission led by Menon and Mountbatten compelled Hanwant Singh to sign the treaty of accession. He wished the imperialists to depart but he was fervently against the dhoti-clad Congressmen. He even tossed with the idea of inquiring the UN for aid. Amid significant drama, he signed the accession. The Viceroy left the area and Hanwant Singh was still left by yourself with Menon. Discouraged, he took out his.22 barrel piston, pointed in the direction of Menon and roared, "I refuse to consider your dictation." Extra some text on his Surya clan ancestry (they claim to become descendants of Lord Ram) and threatened Menon of dire outcomes if he at any time betrayed his individuals. Menon, together with his interesting South Indian bureaucratic head is said to have replied, "If you think that killing me or threatening to eliminate me will abrogate this treaty, you happen to be Improper." Aside from his eccentric manners, Hanwant Singh was extremely regarded among the his folks. He personally went and questioned many of the Muslims within the walled city to remain rather then go away for Pakistan. "Will probably be my insult if you allow me." he explained. With each of the atrocities and communal violence all through partition, Jodhpur remained relaxed. He later fairly audaciously (Nehru threatened to revoke the privy purses if princes entered politics) fought the main standard election versus the Congress during the point out coupled with 30-four of his supporters. Thirty one of these gained and Congress leaders could rarely save their deposits. He died inside of a airplane crash an eve before he could know of his victory.
States like Bikaner and Jaipur acceded on patriotic grounds voluntarily. Some entered into negotiations. Some like Tonk and Kishangarh ended up too small to resist. And inside the "bulldozering" of Patel, the many near to twenty states of Rajputana acceded to India. Very little did they recognize that reorganization of their states was for being adopted. Rajputana was later reorganized as being the Indian state of Rajasthan. Inside of a make a difference of a few several years, id of each of the Rajputana was lost. Indira Gandhi later on in 1971 abolished each of the privy-purses and pensions these rulers experienced negotiated.
Deccan States
Near thirty little states in the southern presidency of Bombay. The reorganization meant which the southern states of Bombay went to Mysore (afterwards renamed Karnataka). Bombay alone was divided into Maharastra and Gujrat.
Punjab States

Central States
Mainly consisting of Indore, Malwa, Bhopal, Bhopawar and Many others had been integrated while in the Indian point out of Madhya Bharat.
Bhopal was one of many more substantial states eager to continue being impartial over the pretext of retaining its secularity. Slightly threatening diplomacy did the trick.
Eastern States
Common national sentiments intended that provinces in modern-day Orrisa and Bihar be merged with India. There were no key hindrances across these provinces.
North Japanese States
The problem of NEFA (North East Frontier Agency) was a complex a person. A lot of the states experienced absolutely different ethnicity and record and didn't relate to India et all. Patel understood on the strategic great importance of such locations. Modern-day Arunanchal Pradesh became Portion of British Empire As outlined by Simla Accord 1913 among British, Tibet and China. A McMohan line was drawn together Indo-Sino border by a British Formal Henry McMohan. China didn't comply with the whole accord and still left between. It was finished among Tibet and British and modern day location of Arunanchal came below British and subsequently Indian Command. Your entire McMohan line continues to be A serious bone of competition in Indo-Sino relations. China however promises Arunanchal being Section of southern Tibet. Naga tribes pressed for independent state of their very own on basis of ethnicity. Military was sent on the location in 1955 and under negotiations, it turned a Union Territory with reasonable autonomy. In 1963, it had been granted a statehood.
The queen of Tripura beneath intense political tension signed the merger on behalf of her teenager kid.

Bhutan was a protectorate condition of British and also a treaty with India meant that it grew to become close to a suzerain point out of India "abiding by the advice of India in exterior affairs". In return, it was supplied a few of the controversial regions of Bengal.
Sikkim was specified complete internal autonomy with communications, exterior affairs and protection coming beneath India's Manage (partial merger treaty). A referendum was conducted under Indian Military with 97% with the votes heading in favor of integration with India and Sikkim turned a state of India. The fairness with the referendum is often debated but it was a significant diplomatic achievement of Indira Gandhi's governance.

Also, the Hindu deity at Sarnath proved out for being additional psychological and less rational purpose inside the brain of Patel. Forces had been despatched and also the province and port was surrounded from the Indian troops. All supply and communications were being annexed. The Nawab fled to Pakistan. A demand for plebiscite was elevated during the UN but prior to the UN could just take any diplomatic steps, a plebiscite was help beneath Indian Regulate and ninety nine% of the voters opted for integration to India. Pakistan accused India of breaking international legislation and rigging the elections.

He even despatched diplomatic missions to Europe and acquired into settlement with Portuguese to both lend or provide port at Goa. He experienced somewhat Professional-Pakistan sentiments and donated the Pakistani authorities Rs two hundred crore to overcome the financial disaster it absolutely was experiencing. (He was considered the richest person of his times) Patel sent troops to Hyderabad less than Procedure Polo and Hyderabad was annexed and merged in four times.
Kashmir
From every one of the princely states, Kashmir remains one of the most contentious region among India and Pakistan. It experienced a Muslim Vast majority but a Hindi oppressive king, Maharaja Hari Singh. Pakistan laid claim on Kashmir citing nearly all of Muslim topics. A super and tranquil negotiation would've been to divide the condition into Kashmir, with greater part of Muslim topics about to Pakistan. Jammu, with vast majority of Hindu subjects along with Ladakh, with bulk of Buddhists intending to India. Nehru was a Kashmiri Pandit and his causes to obtain Kashmir have been a little bit psychological. Hari Singh signed standstill agreements with India and Pakistan, and wanted to keep impartial. Hence delaying the merger. Soon just after independence, Pathan tribesmen, supported by Pakistan Military crossed the border and fast marched toward Srinagar. Hari Singh asked for help and agreed to indicator Instrument of Accession. Patel promptly desired to mail troops but was stopped by Nehru who insisted on having the doc signed initially to abide International Legislation. India secured Jammu, Srinagar and a few portions of valley but winter manufactured confident that more movement was thwarted.
In the diplomatic faux, Nehru declared a ceasefire and took The problem into the UN. The UN identified the road of True Handle and handed a resolution to carry a plebiscite in Kashmir. Both of those India and Pakistan refused acquire their troops back as well as the plebiscite was never held. Pakistan argued that a plebiscite be held solely in India Administered Kashmir. Some fractions of Kashmir and Pakistan accuse India of rigging the point out elections and employing puppet federal government from the condition. Kashmir today, is Among the most disputed areas on earth.

BATTLE OF THE SUPER HEAVYWEIGHTS.
Here we have the Russian Title holder and the Pakistani Title holder.
They may be big, but boy can these big fellas move. The Russian wrestler is incredibly strong and skilful, and has youth on his side, but the Pakistani wrestler is a MACHINE. With a lot more experience.
They both have a sadistic side, and aren't happy unless they've completely destroyed their opponents.
This time tomorrow they face off to win the World Super heavyweight title. It's going to be a long and brutal match.

NJPW Strong Episode 21 - 1/8/2021: Chris Dickinson Debuts As Mystery Wrestler; Jay White Rumors Flying; NJPW on Eurosport India Starting Today; Podcast Recording This Evening
After taking the holiday period off, a new episode of NJPW Strong was shown last night on NJPWWorld. This is night one of another “event,” Road to Lion’s Break Contender, whatever that may be. Team Filthy promised an X member going in and... well, find out now!
Clark Connors d. Kevin Knight (Boston Crab, 7:37)
Rocky Romero [CHAOS] d. The DKC (Diablo Armbar, 8:32)
JR Kratos, Danny Limelight & Chris Dickinson [Team Filthy] d. Brody King [ROH], Logan Riegel & Sterling Riegel (Limelight > Logan, Running DVD, 9:42)
The mystery member of Team Filthy hyped before this show was “Dirty Daddy” Chris Dickinson, which hey, good for him! Danny Limelight appears to still be working these shows, in addition to AEW Dark episodes, however I have no idea when this cycle of episodes were taped. I’m hoping more recently than the last run of shows, especially towards the end.
Rumors were flying hot and heavy yesterday about Jay White legit leaving NJPW, most likely for NXT. I’m just going to say, I don’t buy them. I don’t think he’s leaving. He just main evented the Tokyo Dome. He’s one of the top guys in NJPW, leading a (still!) money-making stable with a worldwide name value.
Another reason I call bullshit: Kenny Omega said much the same thing after his loss to Kazuchika Okada at WK11. This is, literally, the same story. While there is always a chance that Jay may leave, knowing the history of angles past, as well as Jay being a dojo boy, whom tend to stick around for life more or less... yeah. I don’t think Jay is going anywhere. It makes for clicks tho.
I’m a little late on this by a few hours, but NJPW is now being shown on Eurosport India on Saturdays & Sundays 6pm India Standard Time:
Mumbai, January 07, 2021: Eurosport and Eurosport HD India, the premium sports channels from the house of Discovery, are all set to captivate the Indian pro-wrestling fans with high octane action from Japan’s No.1 and World’s second largest pro-wrestling property – New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) with the dawn of the New Year. The addition of NJPW expands Eurosport’s portfolio of Pro-Wrestling offerings with the exclusive India broadcast slated to begin from January 09, 2021 from 6 PM IST with weekly episodes to be telecast every Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 PM IST onward.
[...]
Eurosport India, and with it New Japan Pro-Wrestling broadcasts across India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Maldives, Nepal, Afghanistan and Bhutan.
When I saw this, I thought it sounded a little familiar, and I was right: I wrote about NJPW in India back in 2017, when King Of Pro Wrestling 2017 was being shown on DSport in India. DSport is now Eurosport, as of early 2020. So I’m not sure what the timeline of events here is, whether NJPW has consistently been in India since that time. Whatever the case, NJPW has a twice-weekly show in the Indian/Pakistani etc. market now.
Later today, we’ll be recording the next episode of the Podcast, with myself, @damascenocs and a couple of guests talking WK15. There still are no New Beginning lineups, so likely those will get announced tomorrow after we’ve posted the show. Not a big deal, but kind of irritating. We’ll talk then.

Q&A: Hizbul Mujahideen leader: ‘We will never surrender’ | News
Riyaz Naikoo is without doubt one of the most needed armed Kashmiri fighters with a bounty of 12 lakh (roughly $170,00) on his head.
The 31-year-old former arithmetic instructor is the commander of Hizbul Mujahideen (HM), a pro-Pakistan armed separatist group that opposes Indian rule in Kashmir.
The HM group, based in 1989, is thought to be a terrorist organisation by India in addition to the USA and the European Union.
The Himalayan area is house to seven a long time of battle, with greater than half 1,000,000 Indian forces deployed to struggle insurgent teams demanding both independence or merger with Pakistan.
For the reason that armed insurrection erupted in 1989, greater than 70,00zero folks have been killed, in response to estimates by an area human rights federation, Jammu Kashmir Coalition of Civil Society (JKCCS).
In 2010, mass protests erupted once more, throughout which greater than 100 civilians have been killed – the worst violence in a decade that noticed stone-throwing Kashmiri youths hitting the streets in opposition to Indian rule.
The killing of widespread HM commander Burhan Wani in 2016 sparked the present section of lethal protests that has pushed a rising variety of youths in the direction of armed insurrection.
Al Jazeera spoke to Naikoo over the cellphone to debate whether or not he would think about negotiating with India, the technique behind armed wrestle and his imaginative and prescient for Kashmir’s future.
Al Jazeera reached out to the Indian authorities for remark however was but to obtain a response on the time of publication.
Al Jazeera: Why did you resolve to take up arms, what satisfied you to affix HM?
Riyaz Naikoo: In 2003, a cousin of my mom was martyred. This was when the fact of Kashmir touched me personally for the primary time. I used to be at school 11 (eleventh grade).
My mother and father needed me to go outdoors Kashmir to finish greater training, however I used to be drawn to the thought of resistance and knew that I won’t be able to serve on the bottom if I went away.
I labored as a instructor for greater than three years and was additionally concerned in social work in Pulwama district. Throughout this time, I got here in contact with a senior fighter, Parvaiz Musharraf.
I used to speak to him so much and would ask him questions on why he had joined and the way they might succeed despite the fact that they have been outnumbered. He would clarify my queries, and he additionally gave me his private diary, which I’d usually learn, [it] remains to be with me.
On March 21, 2010, he was martyred. I lastly grew to become an energetic fighter on 1 June 2012 underneath my code identify, Zubair. These days, it was not straightforward to outlive, as our numbers have been low. From the threats to our lives to pangs of starvation, we noticed all of it. Since then I’ve met and misplaced many fellow fighters and associates.
My household has suffered so much and are routinely harassed since I joined the armed insurrection. Our home has been attacked so many occasions, and my brother, uncles, and father have been arrested many occasions.
Al Jazeera: Do you continue to imagine within the technique of armed resistance?
Naikoo: Permit me to cite the good Nelson Mandela, who wrote the next phrases in his autobiography, Lengthy Stroll to Freedom: “A freedom fighter learns the exhausting approach that it’s the oppressor who defines the character of the wrestle, and the oppressed is usually left no recourse however to make use of strategies that mirror these of the oppressor. At a degree, one can solely struggle fireplace with fireplace.”
The Indian navy occupation of Jammu and Kashmir which we’re combating in opposition to is the longest-running and essentially the most brutal occupation within the up to date period, which compares with the occupation of Palestine in its scope and depth, but the fact of abuses right here is far much less identified.
Sure, we’ve got chosen the trail of armed wrestle, however primarily, we’re for peace, not struggle.
It’s the nature of the occupying Indian state that has compelled us to resort to violent strategies of resistance. Kashmiri folks didn’t decide up arms for greater than 40 years since occupation started in 1947. It was solely after steady repression and scuttling of all peaceable technique of resistance that we have been compelled to take action.
There are various United Nations resolutions that decision for a plebiscite to find out the desire of the folks of Jammu and Kashmir.
However the Indian state has repeatedly refused to recognise or implement them, they usually hold labelling Kashmir as their inner matter, which works in opposition to the legality and historical past of the dispute.
Armed wrestle just isn’t precisely our first selection, however it’s a troublesome selection that a few of us have made, and we are going to stay steadfast on our chosen path.
You should know that this state of affairs just isn’t distinctive in historical past. Such has been the case with all freedom struggles in opposition to colonial rule, be it the Indian freedom wrestle in opposition to the British, or the Algerian motion in opposition to the French, or the wrestle of the Libyan folks in opposition to Italian rule. The folks of Kashmir are the life-blood of our resistance.
Al Jazeera: Provided that many younger males are being killed, what makes you proceed to take up arms?
Naikoo: By elevating our weapons in opposition to Indian rule in Kashmir, we need to allow them to know that we’ll not settle for the occupation of our land underneath any circumstance. We are going to reply to their power with power since that appears to be the one language they perceive.
We are going to proceed to face up for our proper to self-determination and we’re able to struggle till our final breath. Most of all, we need to allow them to know that we’d die within the wrestle, however we are going to by no means give up.
No colonial occupation has continued eternally, and it’s our agency perception that the Indian rule in Kashmir may even collapse eventually, till then, we are going to struggle.
Clearly, such resistance comes at a value, and Indian forces proceed to kill Kashmiri folks with impunity.
The willpower, resistance and sacrifices of our folks – women and men, young and old, widows and orphans, half-mothers [mothers whose children have disappeared] and disappeared sons, these in prisons and in torture centres, encourage us to hold on.
Al Jazeera: What are your calls for? Do you see Pakistan as a part of what you need?
Naikoo: Our demand may be very easy – freedom. Freedom, for us, means the entire dismantling of India’s unlawful occupation of Kashmir and all of the constructions that help it, be they navy or financial.
We need to do away with the constructions which have enslaved not simply the territory of Kashmir but in addition the free expression and social and financial well-being of our folks. We wish our freedom with justice and dignity.
We think about Pakistan as our ideological and ethical buddy. Pakistan is the one nation which has constantly supported our trigger and raised the considerations of Kashmiri freedom wrestle at worldwide boards.
Pakistan’s creation because the homeland for Muslims of the Indian subcontinent hyperlinks us to it traditionally as we have been a Muslim majority area whose geography was contiguous with Pakistan. Most significantly, even when the Pakistani state’s help for Kashmir trigger has, at occasions, wavered circumstantially, the folks of Pakistan have at all times stood by us and our trigger.
Al Jazeera: Would you ever interact in negotiations or back-channel talks with India?
Naikoo: We aren’t in opposition to negotiations with India. However negotiations can solely result in a fruitful end result after they happen between events that recognise one another as equals.
Negotiations can not occur between a grasp and a slave or, as the good thinker of Palestinian armed wrestle, Ghassan Kanafani, very aptly put it, as “the dialog between the sword and the neck”.
Some Indian leaders insist that we should discuss throughout the ambit of the Indian structure; what they actually imply is capitulation. They aren’t excited by honouring our legit political calls for. They’re solely excited by pushing for insurance policies and mechanisms that additional entrench the occupational equipment.
Al Jazeera: What’s the ideology behind your wrestle? Are you curious about connecting with different armed teams combating occupation in numerous international locations?
Naikoo: Our ideology is of peace with justice. However our wrestle is for each citizen of occupied Jammu and Kashmir who lives and suffers underneath the shadow of occupation.
As followers of Islam, we’re taught by our faith to struggle all types of oppression until oppression is decimated. Islam motivates us to sacrifice for the reason for common justice.
To the folks everywhere in the world who is perhaps studying this, let me guarantee them that we’re in solidarity with all these folks, no matter their faith and their geography, who’re dwelling underneath occupations and are combating struggles for his or her freedom.
We perceive their plight, their challenges, their hopes and their needs as solely an oppressed can perceive the ache of different oppressed.
Having stated that, Hizb-ul-Mujahideen is an indigenous Kashmiri organisation which derives its cadres and logistics regionally and, in that, we’re self-sufficient. Thus, we don’t want help of any armed group in navy phrases, however we do encourage diplomatic, ethical, and activist solidarity from those that would recognise the legitimacy of our wrestle for liberation.
Al Jazeera: What sort of Kashmir would you like? Would you like a non secular state?
Naikoo: Freedom wrestle is an extended drawn out course of and it evolves over a time frame. Our speedy aim is to finish the Indian occupation and drive its navy and political equipment out of our land.
As for our future, we envision the creation of a free area whereby the character of the state will be deliberated upon freely. The paradigms of this debate can, and can change with time.
Having stated that, as you understand, Kashmir is a Muslim majority area and subsequently the folks have a particular affinity with the legal guidelines, rules and ethos of Islam.
I have to point out right here that we, very a lot based mostly on our faith, envision a system that encompasses the safety of minorities, which appreciates dialogue and tolerance, which has an incredible custom of free pondering, which doesn’t tolerate slavery, and which strives for equality.
We search steerage from Allah, to whom sovereignty belongs, to attempt for peace and justice, and in contrast to the forces of oppression, we’re not guided by the egos of the ability hungry.
Al Jazeera: When civilians come out on the streets to guard the fighters from Indian forces, they find yourself being killed, arrested or damage. Do you’re feeling this can find yourself fermenting bitterness and have your individual supporters flip their backs on you?
Naikoo: Kashmiri persons are not new to the streets of Kashmir. They’ve been protesting the Indian occupation since 1947, and the oppressive Dogra rule [in the 20th century] earlier than that.
Whereas earlier, folks used to run away from complete villages the military was about to cordon, now occasions have modified and we’re seeing that individuals particularly our youth are repeatedly placing their lives in danger.
We’re extraordinarily grateful to all these individuals who in a method or different are combating this unlawful occupation. We should additionally perceive that we as armed fighters are usually not totally different from folks. We’re totally different organs of the identical physique.
There isn’t a important binary of distinction between armed fighters and customary folks. Occupation’s bullets don’t make a distinction between civilians and fighters, nor do its prisons. We’re united with our folks in life and dying.

Pakistani Hulk seeks career in the WWE [November 17th, 2016]
When you think about pro wrestling giants and big men, names like King Kong Bundy, Haystacks Calhoun, and Big Van Vader come to mind. To imagine that any of these men could be small in comparison to anyone seems impossible, but all of them are dwarfed by the 960-pound Arbab Khizer Hayat. Hayat hails from Pakistan, and the 24-year old has stated that he has aspirations to be a WWE superstar. Granted, this weird video of him walking around fully clothed with a replica title might not do him any good, but there’s no denying his strength and impressive size. Perhaps a WWE run isn’t out of the question?
If I’m being honest, so many questions come to mind. What kind of car does he drive? What kind of sleeping arrangement does he have? What kind of toilets does he use? How wide are the door frames at his home? So many questions, and not in an insulting way, but just genuine curiosity.

PoK-based United Jihad Council breaks silence on killing of Adil Dass as a result of suspected infighting, requires unity amongst militant teams
http://tinyurl.com/y6cfghsr Three days after a militant was killed in an obvious incident of infighting, the Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir-based management of the militancy broke its silence in a video assertion issued on 29 June. Mohammad Yusuf Shah, higher often known as Syed Salahuddin, the Muzaffarabad-based chief of the Hizbul Mujahideen and the pinnacle of the militant conglomerate United Jihad Council, termed the incident as “extraordinarily distressing” for the individuals of Kashmir and the “jihadi management and mujahideen”. File picture of Syed Salahuddin. Information18 Interesting for mutual belief and unity among the many ranks of the separatists and the “jihadis” below all circumstances and “in any respect prices”, Salahuddin requested the “jihadi management within the subject of battle to collectively and impartially examine the incident and award exemplary punishment to whosoever discovered concerned”. The killing of the militant by rival militant outfits raised eyebrows because the Valley-based management of the Hizbul Mujahideen (the biggest militant outfit, and one that’s seen as the one indigenous outfit working) and the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba, each allegedly concerned within the incident, maintained silence over it. Salahuddin’s look within the video assertion is an indicator of the gravity of the state of affairs. On the night of 26 June, a militant, Adil Dass, was killed in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district when, apparently, a negotiation for the return of his weapon failed. Dass had joined the pro-Pakistan Lashkar-e-Taiba in July 2018 earlier than defecting to a shadowy outfit that has pledged its allegiance to the worldwide jihadist outfit, the Islamic State. The outfit, in a video assertion by one among its militants, had alleged that Adil was killed by the militants of the Hizbul Mujahideen and the Lashkar-e-Taiba, who lured Adil by displaying a willingness to pledge allegiance to the Islamic State. Salahuddin, nevertheless, within the almost six minute-long video, didn’t acknowledge or try to negate the allegations, whilst he referred to as for punishing the responsible. Salahuddin additionally referred to as Adil a “shaheed (martyr)”, a time period of reference reserved for slain militants and civilians killed by safety forces, however averted naming the outfit that pro-Pakistan parts in Kashmir see as an Indian ploy to derail the separatist motion. Quoting the Holy Quran, Salahuddin appealed to not let variations take root since all events against India shared a standard faith. “All of us have taken the identical path: jihad for the sake of Allah,” he mentioned. “We should respect every others’ ideas and feelings and attempt to cooperate (with one another)”. With out mentioning the sustained crackdown by India on the militant outfits working in Kashmir and the excessive variety of militant casualties previously two years, Salahuddin mentioned the individuals of Kashmir and militants particularly had been going via “testing instances”. Salahuddin mentioned that there must be no scope for variations within the ranks of separatists. “Our nice wrestle (for secession) has already suffered irreparable injury (previously) due to these variations and inteshar (battle),” he mentioned, warning that after once more there have been related “indications of harm past measure”.
