The Inquisition was, to Mirae’s disappointment but not surprise, absolutely saturated with shems. She hadn’t even been able to say they were shems out loud in ages, having been lectured now by Solas, Sera, Cullen, and the final straw: Josie. ‘It just doesn’t look right for the Inquisitor to use such... divisive language. Remember, you are not just for the elves anymore.’ It was bullshit.

Naturally, when Yuuri arrived, she was instantly drawn to him, going out of her way to introduce herself and bring him into the inner circle (and subsequently Viktor- it wasn’t really possible to have one without the other). Not only was he another elf- he was another First- another person that understood. 

He hadn’t been easy to get through to- fairly reserved, but Mirae made a mission out of it and slowly succeeded, tempting him with long talks about elvhen history and finding a way to make home recipes. Sometimes they even managed to train together, having shared at least similar upbringing in magic, even if they were from different clans. 

“Yuuuuuuri~” She called, making her way across Skyhold’s courtyard towards the other mage, waving cheerily. This was her favorite time to see him- just after a war meeting surrounded by people who simply didn’t get her way of thinking. “You’ll never believe what Cullen said in the meeting today- he’s so ridiculous. Templars are so weird, he just doesn’t know what to do since I free the mages.” Viktor was convinced that the Commander was stiff around her with a crush, Mirae believed he simply didn’t know what to with an elf and mage that wasn’t afraid of furthering her people. “Anything interesting happen to you today? I need a distraction.”

Rubs my hands together. Okay so two settings for this can be, post CCG dissolving in which ghouls are trying their best to coexist with humans maybe ? Anyway Shuu announces to his fellow ice skaters / the public that he’s a ghoul, he’s not ashamed of who he is, far from it, as you will see from these headcanons. The other one is not one of them having a clue that he’s a ghoul, but let’s go with the former cause I’ve already built up headcanons. 

1. ) Shuu uses his kagune to perform with him on ice, learning how to distribute and wield its weight and using it to his advantage. It’s similar to his fighting style, but he practices. Anyway his routines more often than not incorporate his sword-shaped kagune making a gradual appearance around his arm or body, it’s very elegant, since it’s uniquely shaped and by now would have a more intricate finish, like his father’s. 

To add to this headcanon, his costume on ice may have an exposed back or shoulder segment in order to allow his kagune to come out undisturbed from his upper back. Either that, or a flap in the costume must be accommodated for him. 

2. ) Shuu enjoys performing to classical music and opera, one of his signature favorites being Tchaikovsky’s Sleeping Beauty Waltz. He’s very graceful on ice, enchanting the crowd with not only his beauty, but his passion, evident in his expression of both face and body. He’s very regal, and holds himself to that manner on and off the ice. Off the ice, he may seem closed off at times, but mostly because he’s trying to adjust to life with humans who already know of his existence as a ghoul. He wonders if people would really want to befriend him, support him. Around those he trusts however, he’s as flamboyant as ever. 

3. ) Besides ice skating, Shuu still plays the piano on his own time, using it as a stress relief mechanism for when things get too hectic. He travels along with Kanae, who’s there to support him since Shuu’s father is a bit too busy to come see him. Although, Mirumo supports him with calls and by watching Shuu’s performances on television when he can. Shuu understands, but is glad to have Kanae there. 

4. ) Shuu is one of the first successful ghouls to perform on ice, bringing about a wave of admiration for himself and other ghouls who want to go into ice skating. However, he often wonders what the world thinks of him, just as he did when his being a ghoul was kept secret. He makes an effort to keep up his appearance in public, and although making new friends is still rocky business, he makes an effort, and honest ones at that. Now that he has nothing to hide. 

5. ) He’s either taking a year off, Like Viktor, or a competitive skater sdkjsk this is the part I had the hardest time with but are there teams lmao ? I need to research this part but if teams can be a possibility he’s on Japan’s team. If not maybe he’s taking a year off but perhaps still does performances.
