History

Shu was born to Beatrix, the second wife of the Vampire King, Karlheinz Sakamaki. He was raised in the Sakamaki Castle located in the Demon World. As the eldest son of the family, Shu's mother focused all her attention on him in order to raise him into an heir. Being a little boy, he felt suffocated by the restrictions and responsibilities placed on him. This eventually led Shu to run away from home.

He used the underground passageways in the castle that connected the demon world to the human world. There, Shu met Edgar, a human boy from a remote village. The two got along well and became best friends. Thus, Shu made a habit of running off to play with him (DL game: More Blood, Shu's Route). At one point, Edgar gifted him a german shepherd puppy. Shu promised his friend he would take care of the pup, only for his mother to take the animal away from him (DL anime, Seas. 1).

Little Shu is from Maixsu.

One day, Edgar's village was destroyed in a mysterious fire. Despite Shu's protests, he went into the fire and died. Although it wasn't his fault, he blames himself for his friend's death and developed severe trauma from the incident (DL game: MB, Shu's Route & DL anime, Seas. 2).

Reiji would also bully Shu through mocking jabs that he was useless and couldn't do anything for himself. This, in addition to the consistent pressure from his mother, cased him to withdraw from life. Shu soon lost interest in doing anything except when Reiji provoked him.

Beyond this, he has always had a passion for music since he was young. Once, his father even gave him a violin as a gift. Shu believes he lost it, but it was suspected Reiji broke it (DL game: More Blood, Reiji's Maniac Prologue).

At some point, little Laito ate all the candies in the refrigerator and hid the candies wrappers in Shu’s pant pockets. Thus, Reiji scolded Shu instead of Laito. Shu says he’s still angry at Laito about it (DL 5th Anniv. Book: Shu's Interview).

As a teenager, Shu failed his exam and had to repeat his senior year. To punch him, his father exiled him to the North Pole. Shu said he had to be careful not to fall into the ocean. Ayato comments it was a real survival trip since Shu had to fight polar bears and was seen scratched when he came back home.

Relationships

Yui Komori: Because of his past experience with Edgar, Shu tends to push Yui away at first since humans die too easily. He does this by claiming she's bothersome, talentless, annoying and a waste of time. However, if Yui keeps pestering him to do something for himself [on Shu Routes], Shu will enjoy teasing her about wearing unattractive panties and bras. He shows a more perverted side than Laito because Yui seeks his attention. Shu also calls her lewd or dirty girl.

Reiji Sakamaki: The two brothers have a sour and hostile relationship. This is due to multiple misunderstandings and unfortunate circumstances of their past. In addition, their mother pinned them against each other for her approval. Currently, Reiji will insult everything Shu does if in the vicinity, while Shu will leave the room to avoid dealing with him.

Beatrix: Shu hated the training and restrictions she placed upon him because it robbed him of a childhood. However, he did care for her because she mostly used guilt-tripping manipulation on him to make him behave the way she wanted.

Karlheinz: Even though he has received gifts from his father, Shu rarely communicates with him (DL game: More Blood; Reiji's Dark Epilogue). He doesn't like him because he believes Karl is the main reason for all the burden and lack of freedom he feels.

Laito Sakamaki: Shu holds a grudge against Laito for causing him trouble once in their childhood.

Yuma Mukami: Although all the diaboys are rivals to one another, Shu's biggest rival for the girl he loves is Yuma.

Kou Mukami: Kou and Shu relatively get along with each other. Due to being friends, in addition to Kou's compliments, Shu once asked if he would like to become his younger brother. Kou rejected the offer because "Ruki is best suited for him."

Shin Tsukinami: Shu once forcefully slept on top of Shin in his wolf form because he wanted to use him as a pillow (DL Lunatic Parade game: Sakamaki Shuu [Sub scenario w/ Shin]).

Ayato: Idol AU Headcanons

// Since you guys enjoyed my DL K-pop AU posts, I decided to write some HCs about Ayato, because he was the most talked about. In this AU, the Sakamakis aren’t actual brothers, nor are they vampires; the group’s concept is just the one of a vampire family. Some details here are based on true things about Ayato but have been slightly tweaked to better fit the idol AU. Hope you enjoy! ❤️

He was once a basketball player and even served as the captain of his team. His dedication to the sport often led him to compete in numerous tournaments, causing him to skip many classes.

Ayato was scouted for his visuals. The CEO of REJET LABELS noticed his youthful yet refined features while Ayato was casually walking home from high school.

A former classmate confirmed Ayato’s popularity at school. She also mentioned that people would randomly take pictures of him on the street, and a bunch of his photos are used on Pinterest for inspiration.

Even before starting his trainee period, Ayato was already quite good in both slow and freestyle dancing. After beginning his training, he discovered his rapping abilities.

As a trainee, the first person Ayato befriended was Laito, who remained his closest companion even after debuting. The two are often spotted hanging out together.

Ayato hates doing aegyo. However, during a special episode of the variety show MUKBROS, Kou dared him to sing and dance to a cute song. The performance went extremely viral, skyrocketing his popularity. Despite this success, Ayato has admitted that the experience still gives him PTSD.

Ayato is in high demand for brand deals and appears to be everywhere. Rumor has it he’s poised to become the next Chanel ambassador. Unfortunately, this has led some solo fans of other members to accuse him of favoritism, casting him in a negative light.

He is the first member of the SAKAMAKIS to appear in Vogue, where he was officially recognized as the "IT boy."

He was ranked 1st in top 100 most beautiful faces (male version); one of the reasons why he gained the “Visual God” title within the idol community.

His best known controversy involves plastic surgery. Netizens noticed changes in Ayato’s nose and jaw when comparing his pre-debut photos and videos to his current appearance. A bunch of Dialovers took his side, attributing the changes to puberty, yet others strongly disagreed, spreading hate by making posts about him looking “botched.”

Last year, he partnered with soloist Cardia as a MC. This experience had a mixed impact on Ayato’s image. While some criticized him for occasionally forgetting his lines or laughing and posing in front of the camera while Cardia consistently gave her all, others came to his defense. Many fans and non-fans argued that the criticism was too harsh, pointing out that Ayato was never intended to be the spokesperson of his group, but Reiji. They also emphasized that it was unfair to compare someone with no prior experience to someone used to give speeches.

When asked which idol he’d like to get to know better, he mentioned soloist KINO from the same company. A few months later, KINO invited him to his limited-edition web show, where they had the chance to interact, play games and even filmed a TikTok together afterward.

It’s rumored that not only REJET LABELS, but also other companies pressure idols into plastic surgery to resemble Ayato. This theory gained credibility when Zen from Un: Birthday Song looked different in middle school but began resembling Ayato after becoming a trainee, securing his debut spot in a reality competition.

People who have seen Ayato describe him as having an arrogant and bold presence on stage, perfectly fitting his vampire idol persona. However, off-stage, he’s known to be kind to his fans and happy to engage in casual conversations. Recently, a Dialover shared their experience meeting Ayato, saying, “In MVs and concerts he appears untouchable, but in real life, you realize he’s just a normal handsome boy.”

He is frequently described as the ideal type in street interviews, admired for his stunning looks, hardworking nature, and confident personality. Moreover, many trainees have cited him as their role model.

Sakamaki brothers on hot spring headcanons;

Younger brothers spend time together (Subaru was forced to be there);

-Ayato enjoys hot springs a lot but prefers saunas, he likes going in after basketball practice. I also think he might play with water like a toddler spraying to his brothers and laugh after.

-Kanato likes self care days, likes everything makes him feel like a little prince. But his frail/ballerina type body cannot stand hot spring long time, gets flush quickly and visibly, possibly brag about and gets fussy to his brothers to help him to take him out.

-Laito need hot springs like a religion, most probably he was the one suggested the trip, enjoys open space hot springs, likes inviting girls to sin. In another headcanon i told you guys that i think Laito cleans himself a lot since he doesn’t like the feeling of “dirt”.

-Subaru, oh my baby boy, he wanted to go in later alone but tricked by Laito and challenged by Ayato. So it’s a rivalry situation but he secretly enjoys the little “silence” (not long unfortunately) between his brothers. Laito is surprisingly not so annoying so he is kind of happy. But Ayato cannot stop talking how his pale skin got flushed like a baby.

Older siblings are in other hang used this opportunity to be able to relax from the trouble makers:

-Shu likes napping in hot springs, he spends hours in sometimes his brothers got weirded how he can survive (they’re mad that he survived) he likes to be alone like Subaru but he is quite satisfied by the Reiji’s company there. He teases and picks a fight (which is the opposite in many cases) by saying how Reiji’s skin looks like it gets boiled.

-Reiji is happy too, he would be more content if Shu was not there (that’s a lie, he feels very happy but he rather bit his own fingers than admit it) his pale skin like Kanato get flushed easily he has the stamina and energy to stay there quite long but his skin is not collaborative.

Finally, when you did, he couldn't help himself from basically tackling you and bombarding you with questions with mixes of sulking.

“Where have you been? Didn’t I tell you to visit me daily?” He said, frowning, and you nuzzled him “I can’t EVERY day sometimes I forget.” you replied, and the vampire pouted “try then!”

Kanato

He was kinda scary when you forgot to visit him.

It was a mix of being clingy and delusionally jealous.

He would mumble to his teddy bear about missing you.

Then it turned into a spiral of missing you to wanting to kill you because their might be a chance that you have another favorite person in your world. How dare you.

So it won’t be a surprise when you visited he threatened your life.

“For the last time Im not two timing you please put the fork down.” You said, and Kanato’s eyes glare. “How am I to know you're not lying?” He question.

“Sorry I took so long - promise to come back next time!” You said, and Laito pouts and puts on his whiny voice. “Just stay forever! What’s more important than me?” He demanded, hugging you tighter “I can’t do that, you know why!”

He glances up to you before pulling you close to him “then will you at least spend the night?” You nodded and agreed.

He is ANGRY very, very angry he gets extra snappy when you aren’t around

picking fights and breaking walls, he was like a hurricane passing the halls.

He would ruffle his hair in frustration when you don’t show up in your designated spot.

He reminds himself he can live without you, so if you think not showing up will make him like you you’re WRONG…

..But oh, when he sees you, he grows weak, but he can’t show you that part of him... Not till you sweet talk him.

Would the diaboys and Yui take your last name?

Shu

Yes. While he has shown some care and loyalty to his brothers, the family name Sakamaki itself he has no loyalty to or care for, especially since he hates his dad. He also doesn't strike me as someone who cares about enforcing traditions.

Reiji

------

No. In most routes Reiji is the only Sakamaki brother that doesn't hate his father, and therefore has actual loyalty to his family name. He's also a very traditional man. He would not take your last name.

Ayato

Also no. He hates Karlheinz and isn't traditional, but he's extremely possessive, so he wants you to take his last name. He wouldn't want to choose a new surname either because it's not possessive if you both changed your last names. He wants you to take his.

Laito

It's somewhat likely but I think he's more likely to want hyphenation or just choosing a new surname for the both of you.

Kanato

Pretty much exact same as Ayato. You are his possession and you will take his last name to show that.

Subaru

Subaru's possessive and hates his father so he has no real loyalty to his surname. He doesn't strike me as the traditional type but I think the idea of you taking his last name would appeal to him. You might be able to convince him to hyphenate or take your last name but I think ultimately his preference would be for you to take the surname Sakamaki after marriage.

You will take his last name, he will not take yours. Not only is he traditional, he's also possessive and he's your master, so you must take his last name. And unlike the Sakamaki brothers, the Mukami brothers all have love and loyalty for their surname because it's what makes them brothers and family.

Kou

I think he's one of the more open-minded diaboys regarding this, but I feel like he'd want you take his last name because of the love, loyalty, and family associated with it. He'd probably be open to hyphenate, but I don't think he'd want to take yours. He won't take your last name because he wants to stay with Mukami.

Yuma

For some reason I headcanon him as really open-minded with this but at the same time canonically he's super possessive and he has that love and loyalty with his surname. I still stand by that open-minded headcanon and I think he might outright suggest hyphenation.

Azusa

Azusa would do anything to please his s/o but I think he's so attached to his last name that this is really the one thing he's unwilling to change. He'd be apologetic but he'd suggest hyphenation. He gets very attached to things with meaning so I can't see him being fully willing to give that up.

Shin

Same with Carla. He will absolutely not be changing his last name to yours. He might consider hyphenation but at the end of the day he'd demand you take his.

Kino is very proud of his whole prince and son of Karlheinz status, so I doubt he'd be willing to take your last name. I have the feeling he wouldn't be willing to hyphenate either.

Yes. In fact, she'd be surprised and unsure about hyphenation or you taking hers. She's very traditional in that regard.

"So-" he began, placing his champagne flute on the balcony wall, "why are you so against the idea of actually being a princess."

You tense, sighing. This conversation was one you had been putting off for a long time, but now sitting out to watch the last stream of guests leaving, escape seemed impossible. Shu had been summoned to attend, and you had been invited only to ensure his presence. While you weren't going to complain about getting to have a guest house to yourself on the castle grounds, and getting to see your boyfriend in all his prince-ly regalia. You did have to give up a lot of the liberties you get in the human world while together. No PDA, less time fraternizing at events and, at this ball in particular, not even one dance. Shu had argued that all of this would not happen if you were an officially engaged couple, and being years into your relationship it wouldn't necessarily be strange to be engaged either. Yet you had turned down the idea when he had brought it up and hadn't spoken of it for close to 6 months now. That was of course until now, finally reunited on a balcony, hidden from the view of the guests as they made their exits and sitting at two separate tables as instructed by the chaperon assigned to you.

"It really isn't that easy to just become a princess"

"It is, you just have to marry me." At this point the stream of guests has mostly ceased. He gets up and moves to sit next to you, knowing full well you aren't going to move until the servant tells you. You tense waiting to be scolded or reminded that you aren't meant to be this close here.

"Tch... this is what irritates me. We're together and you can't act like it. If it's marriage you're worried about we can have a long engagement, or-"

"It's not the marrying you part that has me worried. Shu they hate me, anytime we have even one dance I'm scolded or glared at, and I don't think your dad is my best fan seeing as he had all these eve plans. Now you're acting like an heir again and Ayato and Yui don't want the crown. I've ruined it."

Shu scowls at that, pulling your chair by it's legs to face him. You can feel his colder hands through your clothes as he touches your knees. "I couldn't care less about what that guy thinks or what anyone else thinks. I want you by my side and if you being a princess is mandatory for that then I will make you one."

"I-" you begin your voice cracking, "I just don't want to make things bothersome for you." You can feel tears welling up in your eyes, a mixture of fear and sadness. You hear Shu sigh, then you're pulled into his lap, legs either side of him. The sound of the chaperon trying to speak is cut off as the glass double doors are slammed and locked in his face. Shu's powers having been rapidly developing the past three years you have been visiting the demon world.

"Such a silly woman, crying over untrue things." You feel his hand gently lift your chin to look him in the eyes. "You should know as well as I do that every attempt to call you a bother has been a lie. Everyone else is a pain but you, and the fact you try to deny me the ability to have you with me forever is cruel. Selfish woman playing with a man's heart."

You laugh at that, resting a hand on his wrist, fingers skirting the edge of his jacket sleeve. "I thought you didn't have one." Shu moved to sit up eyes half lidded as his face comes closer.

"That's because it's only for you," his hand moving to your neck, playing with the hair near the back of your neck. He leaned in until his nose touched yours, his eyes flicking between your own and your lips. "Now say you will."

"Will what?"

"Marry me." You feel a box press into your other hand, pulling away slightly you look down and see a ring plucked from your dreams. Shu gently took your left hand, sliding the ring into place, he lifted your hand to his lips kissing just below where the ring sat.

"I don't think I can say no." With that he closed what little space was left between you both to slot his lips against yours.

2. Subaru Sakamaki: baby tsundere

I have a history with loving tsunderes the most, so naturally his whole "....I lik---fuck off" made me giggling and kicking my feet. But not for long, his violent behaviour actually fucking scared me (all of their behaviour ofc) but the fact he is a walking rage ball doesn't help his case. BUT he is definitely the least perverted out of all of them (Shu isn't, he is on level with Laito when it comes to it). He blushes from the start of the game, he warns you multiple times not to get close and leave. And when he says "I love you" I believe it okay. Cuz I think he does truly love Yui. He doesn't make fun of her looks, he likes hugging her and while violent at the start, by Dark Fate, he is just a big old softie. I don't think any of the Sakamaki's love Yui as much as he does. I just want to give him a hug okay? I feel so bad for him at times. Fucking Karlheinz, fuck him. When he kissed Yui while she was sleeping ahhhh, he also apologize to her, asked for consent, as well as felt embarrassed when he saw her in a bath. Him and Yui also bicker like an old married couple and she doesn't hold back when it comes to him. I dock points at his wall breaking 😭😭😭 and the fact he feels a bit too young for me now (I don't like younger guys sorry).

I didn't like him at first, his whole "yours truly" drove me insane but he kinda grew on me. Mostly cuz of the fanarts and stuff. I didn't think I'd give him this much credit but I had to. He's the main guy after all. With marrying Yui in all good endings and just generally being the one who wants to claim her the most (all of them do but I think ayato especially hates seeing her with anyone). He gives off massive jock energy, and his "pancake" made me mad at first but that became funny (I should not be laughing at the scene where Yui was reading his magazines but I did 😭😭😭). Now he is SUPER aggressive with Yui, my girl never deserved any of this, at times he really gets on my nerves cuz he is so contradictory. Like if you want her just say it, throwing her in the pool and then rescuing her??? Bitch, you are stupid. But his whole stupid behaviour feels charming to me, I love dumb guys they are funny as hell unintentionally. Cordelia can rot in hell, that's all. To me, the best looking and the best choice out of the triplets. I understand why him and Yui are the best Dialovers ship cuz I get the memo.

I thought he would be lower in the list when I first saw him. But...he's kinda funny to me. Idc but his whole "bitch-chan" made me laugh so much. Maybe I was just looking for the bare minimum to like any of these guys, cuz I think Laito doesn't suck as much as I expected. Would I run from him? Yeah. Everything he does is overtly perverted and sexual. But there is a reason behind all this. Cordelia really DID HIM BAD. She fucking groomed him, I understand why he went all crazy in the head. HIS MOTHER...IM SORRY I CAN'T TAKE IT. While I don't like his route and in terms of the romance aspect I don't want him. But he gives SO many funny moments and is just such a goldmine in memes that I can't help but like him. Also being a thigh guy, huge respect. I definitely don't hate him, unexpectedly, he can become one of my "hear me out---". If he didn't fucking assualt Yui so many times, I might have put him above Ayato.

He looks mentally ill. He actually looks like a malnourished victorian boy. He looks possessed. And I DON'T LIKE HIM.

My feelings towards Kanato are so complicated. Like I do find him funny at times but he usually makes me roll my eyes. In terms of the romance aspect, just no, no, NO. Even my 14 year old self wouldn't like him, he looks like a CHILD. There's nothing attractive in him, the other boys have something, Kanato is just a demon child. And his teddy, I want to burn that teddy just cuz it makes Kanato even more annoying when he's talking to it. Did you not take your pills Kanato? Why are you the way you are. Ofc it's all his deadbeat dad and especially his bitch of a mother's fault. She had affairs in front of this little boy, no wonder he is so ill. He's definitely the most unhinged of the brothers, even they find him scary at times. He would just kill you for funsies. He would. I don't hate him but I don't like him either.

I am sorry I can't take this man seriously. Everything he says and does makes me go "ughhhhhhh" so bad. When he got mad at Shu for leaving their weekly dinners, aura point loss, loser behaviour. The only reason I gave him 1 point is cuz he's hot...sometimes. I generally love glasses guys but no Reiji just gets on nerves each time he opens his fucking mouth and says smtg on the lines of "um....akschully 🤓"

Fuck you. Fuck Reiji. His entire backstory is just being jealous of Shu. And then he spends his entire life trying to get on Shu's nerves and the fact Shu doesn't give a fuck drives Reiji even more. When he killed his mother and wanted to revive her just to kill her in a satisfying manner...bro... 😭. His relationship with Yui sucks, his little tea parties suck, he just sucks. I know Reiji has his fans, but I am a hater. With Kanato I don't like him romantically but with Reiji I don't like him at all. And when he spanks Yui and is like "don't drink her blood assholes" and then does the SAME thing. He actually made me mad. I was ready for whatever came my way when I got into this but Reiji is so annoying that I would take fucking Latio over him. All of this rage just cuz his mom didn't listen to his poem or whatever. I am sorry you are parentless Reiji, I just cannot care less about you 🍵.

[This is probably the only light hearted story I will ever do, obviously this is not a smut, just light hearted vibes]

Yui’s POV:

My first day as a private teacher in a wealthy academy, I was honestly so shocked that I even got this job but nonetheless I am grateful. When I was younger I always thought I would become a nun, growing up in a church I thought it was the most suited path for me, but one day my father and the rest of the Church elders granted me with an opportunity, to teach a bunch of young children in a private academy, my room and board would be taken care of and it was a well paying job, I did not care much for money but I did like helping charities with the money I already have so this would help me in that aspect.

It was the first day I spent the last 2 weeks decorating the classroom. These children are all around the ages of 9-12. They were very young, I hope to teach them kindness and compassion, I remember when I was first given this class, the neighboring teachers made remarks about the incoming students saying they were all rich, evil, selfish demons. I hope that is not the case, but even if it is, they're just kids they can easily be taught something new and unlearn wrong.

I was on a little chair, putting up a banner. It might be somewhat cheesy but I thought it was adorable. "Ha! What a lameeee banner." a childish voice shrieked mockingly. I turned my head slightly and saw a boy, he had spiky red hair at its ends, he had lively green eyes that look just like a cat's eyes, they were adorable but he already seemed like a nightmare. "Are you a student in this class?" I ask him to try to redirect his comment. "Yep, I'm the great Ayato Sakamaki!" he said, his confidence through the roof, his energy was up there but refreshing. Sakamaki, looking at the attendance I noticed there were quite a few Sakamaki boys in this class, perhaps they were all related? "Ayato, do you have any siblings?" I asked him, he nodded, then started to name them all whilst counting with his fingers. "Kanato, Laito, Shu, and Reiji..oh and Subaru but I haven't met him yet." he explained, which confused me, he has a brother who he hasn't met yet..? "Woah~ Look at this class Kanato, it's nice and colorful and we have such a cute teacher, hello Teacher." Two boys entered the classroom, the one with emerald green cat-like eyes spoke. I smile warmly at the boys. "What are your names?"I asked them, looking towards the boy with the purple hair more, he had an interesting safety teddy bear, it was so cute. The boy with emerald green eyes spoke however in his stead. "I am Laito and this is my brother Kanato, oh I see you already met Ayato, we are all triplets." Laito states, I keep these things noted, just in case it was a part of my training. "Can I sit already?" Kanato asks, I smile and nod at him. "Yes of course, find the seat with your name on it." All 3 of them go to their assigned seats. I feel bad they were all so far apart from each other but they will be able to hang out during lunch break.

"Subaru, this is the classroom." I heard some way say with such a formal tone his voice when I looked at him was just a kid, he had raven hair and glasses, next to him was a shorter boy with pale skin and hair, eyes red like blood, and a taller blonde boy who looked like a prince. The boy with glasses looked right at me and bowed his head slightly. "Ahh that's not needed, please find your assigned seats." I told them and I noticed the raven haired boy went to the seat of Reiji, he sat right next to Ayato. They did not look alike at all but they had the same last name and Ayato did say these were his siblings. The seats of Subaru and Shu were sat in as well, they were right next to each other. “Ayato, these are all of your brothers?” I asked him, he nodded. “I guess so, you must be Subaru, what’s up?” He shouted from across the room. Subaru looked at him and his cheeks flushed slightly then he looked away, I still didn’t understand why he said it like that. “Um Ayato, I’m confused how come you never met Subaru…even though you are brothers?” I asked him. But before he could speak the blonde prince looking boy named Shu spoke “you clearly never heard of half siblings..dimwit” he said harshly, woah kids really can say crude things sometimes.

A few more boys came in, 4 came in at the same time they clung to each other. “We’re the Mukami siblings, nice to meet ya teacher~” a spunky blonde haired boy exclaimed. I liked his enthusiasm. “Please take your assigned name seat” I tell them in a welcoming tone and they do do. It was an interesting dynamic. Reiji, Ayato and the boy Ruki said in a desk row together, Shu, Subaru, and a boy named Yuma all sat together, Kanato sat next to Azusa, he had strange marks on him I hope everything is okay at home… and Laito and Kou sat together. Supposedly there was supposed to be 3 more students perhaps they were lost..? When I started to lose hope, 3 boys came in one had long white hair and the other short spiky strawberry blonde they both had similar eyes, they must be brothers, and the boy without a last name Kino, he refused to sit in his assigned seat.

“Welcome students my name is Ms. Komori, I will be your teacher for the year, it’s a pleasure to meet you all.” I say warmly. The silence was killer…”hm let’s start with an ice breaker, everyone say their name and something they like to do, I’ll start my name is Ms. Komori and I like to read.” I say, causing some of them to scoff and snicker. “How lame, I’ll go now! My name is Ayato and I like to win cause’ I’m the best at everything!” He says, I couldn’t help but notice this kid has some serious narcissistic tendencies. The next boy went “My name is Sakamaki Reiji and I enjoy reading as well, but I prefer to conduct experiments.” He states, well he will definitely like the science projects I have planned then. “I’m Mukami Ruki, I like reading as well.” He says briefly, I noticed him holding a book. “Oh what book is that?” I asked him, he looked dead at me and said it wasn’t my business…okay then.

“Laito here, pleasure to meet you Miss Bitch, my favorite thing is to watch girls change” when he said that my eye twitched a little, he’s like 10 years old saying things like that…what on earth is wrong with this child..? “I’m Kou, I like to dance” he says, I smiled at him. I think Kou would like the talent show aspect I have planned for the future. “Azusa…I like pain…” the next boy said. “Okay I think we have to talk about this briefly, you shouldn’t like pain it is not a good thing” I tell him, he looks at me confused.

“Alright kids, ice breaker is over, don’t be upset I’m sure we will all get to know more about each other, for now I want to focus on this lesson. You all need to understand that pain is never a good thing, in life we must do good things to make other people feel happy and comfortable, hurting ourselves does damage both in the heart and the mind.” I say and point to both my heart and mind. “Father didn’t tell us our new teacher was a simpleton human…” Reiji said to Ayato, causing all the boys to snicker. These kids really are something else….

🎻Okay, so I’m sure we all know he’s the heir and a prince of the vampire kingdom (I know its weird.) And I just have to say this because I don’t say it enough, I really feel like he acts differently in the demon world because he knows his dad will be mad.

🎻So you can expect Shu to be much more expressive as he is the heir, he represents his father and so he needs to be “lively”.

🎻 That being said, he attends gatherings, banquets, and many other events that his father may want him to.

🎻I will say that when he is in the demon world it is much different as he doesn’t act like himself.

🎻Apart from him is still the same in the sense that he is still a pervert.

🎻I mean we know he’ll be with low-ranking vampires or whatever just to get some.

🎻 After all, he has somewhat of an ego even if he doesn’t show it.

🎻So you know he most definitely does believe that because he is the heir he can move from one girl to the next with no strings attached.

🎻All for his advantage of course.

🎻Also speaking of his royalty life I really want to mention the fact that he is very annoyed by all the attention the girls give him.

🎻He literally can’t wait till he goes back to the human world where it's much quieter.

🎻However as a royal he does enjoy the theatre because he can hear classical music.

🎻That’s why he only has three, this is actually canon, I believe it was in one of the game translations in Reiji’s route where he was looking for his jacket and asked Reiji. And Reiji told him it can’t be that hard to find since he has only three, lol.

🎻And idk why but I just feel like he miss places them all around the house.

🎻I also think he keeps so much junk under his bed.

🎻“Huh, I don’t remember that being there.”

🎻If he gets really hot, he just throws his cardigan under the bed.

🎻He once owned a cat, it's not that he went out of his way and bought one. It sorta followed him and so he started to take care of it a little. It lived outside mostly because Reiji wouldn’t tolerate it, but occasionally Shu kept the cat in his room.

🎻He has no idea where the cat went and whether or not it's alive since he hardly kept watch of it.

🎻Although he sometimes wonders where it went, and I think he liked the cat since she sometimes got into Reiji’s things. It was amusing to say the least.

🎻Forgets he puts his music sheets on his bed and ends up sitting on them.

🎻That’s why they’re always somewhat crumbled and folded.

🎻Never makes his bed, he just throws the blanket on and thanks to the butler the room is kept clean.

🎻Otherwise it’d end up like Ayato’s room, to which the butler can never keep up with.

🎻Because he loves music he has vinyl records, and countless CDs in some boxes he keeps under his bed.

🎻He keeps a couple of his favorite books which are in Latin.

🎻Something also tells me if he had a journal, he’d write only Latin because none of his brothers can.

🎻Because he used to be a cashier, he still has his name tag from then and his worker vest.

🎻He keeps in hidden in a corner of his closet.

🎻Speaking of which his closet is so empty and he literally has repeats of the same pants and shirts.

🎻It’s mostly because they were on a good sale.

🎻He will wear the same clothes for like three days or more and not even change out of them.

🎻Doesn’t brush his hair, just goes to school with bed head.

🎻Keeps his door locked so triplets don’t think about pranking him with some clown-related things since he has a fear of them. It's mostly because he’s learned that the hard way.

Prince Ririe Sakamaki's Character & Personality

Shu is a nineteen-year-old-looking Japanese vampire who's a third-year high school student at Ryoutei Academy. He's also the first son of the Sakamaki household. This makes Shu the current master of the mansion. He and his younger brother are the sons of Beatrix and Karlheinz, the Vampire King. As a child, Shu was quite lively. However, he began lacking interest in life and came to shut out the world. Now, Shu is apathetic and incredibly lazy to the point of doing almost nothing. Despite being the eldest, he doesn't take any responsibility to look after his five brothers or the house. Instead, Shu mostly complains about how he has to "deal with their problems" only to push these jobs onto his younger brother. Being bored with life, he lacks motivation and is usually found sleeping in the living room or the school's music room. Shu skips classes often and has been held back once as a senior. This is ironic as he's quite smart; being perceptive of the hiding people in his surroundings and the mysterious situations involving his family. Shu is always listening to music, even when taking a bath. Beyond this, he's somewhat of a pervert until his attention is sought after. Then Shu becomes the most perverted brother of them all.

Admin's note: Hey guys. I'm finally back. Sorry for being inactive for a few weeks. I was struggling with personal problems. Here you go new chapter of my novel. Support me on AO3.

Sunlight filled everywhere and the pleasant sound of birds could be heard. Beautiful children like angels were sleeping hand in hand. A cool breeze hit the window and the roar of the wind could be heard through the seams of the wall.

Shu, who was having nightmares the whole night, had fallen into a peaceful sleep by hugging Yui, and as if he had been hugged by the best pillow in the world, he hugged Yui tightly and did not want to let go of her at all. Yui, who was resting in Shu's arms, continued to sleep peacefully in his arms. But one person will not be very happy to see this scene.

Yuma was lying on the ground and slowly opened his eyes with the golden sunlight shining on his face. It took him a few minutes to regain consciousness. He stretched his body and looked around to find Yui and to his disbelief he saw Yui lying on the bed in the arms of this annoying boy.

Yuma: What the hell is going on here?

Seeing this scene, Yuma's eyebrows bowed and his face showed that he was very nervous. He couldn't believe that this boy would be so rude as to hug a strange girl while he was sleeping.

Yuma walked over to the bed and fisted his hand, shaking Shu with all his might to wake him up.

Yuma: Oi, you skinny boy... hurry up, wake up...

Shu grumbled under his breath feeling uneasy in his warm and soft bed. He was still asleep, but he thought that he was still in the palace, sleeping on his own warm and soft bed, and that this disturbing person who was trying to disturb his sleep was his annoying little brother. Shu frowns as his eyes are closed and hugs Yui tighter.

Shu: Shut up, annoying.... Let me sleep.

Yuma: .....

Shu: Get out of my room. I order you to go out.

Yuma: Your room? Order???????

Shu: Zzzzz....

Seeing Shu continue to sleep peacefully, Yuma became even more nervous. With all his strength, he grabbed Yui from his arms and tried to lift her up. Yui slowly opened her eyes from the terrible shaking and saw that Yuma was trying to remove her from Shu's arms.

Yui, who had just regained consciousness, quickly stood up and tried to stop Yuma.

Yui: Shhh..... Yuma calm down. He is sleeping.

Yuma: Huh? What are you doing? Why are you defending him? This rude boy attacked you at night and held you in his arms.

Yui: Stop Yuma. He didn't do it. He had a nightmare last night and was very restless. I myself went to sleep next to him to make him feel better.

Shu was still asleep and could hear Yui and Yuma's voices softly, but since his sleep was so heavy Shu thought he was still in the palace and it was his brothers who were trying to annoy him.

Shu: Mmm.... Shut up.... You are so annoying.... Get out of my room.

Yui: ....! His room???

Yuma: You see? He is very rude. He thinks that he is the king and orders us to go out of the room that belongs to us. I will kill this boy with my own hands, I swear.

Yui: Fufu.... Calm down, Yuma. He is dreaming. He probably still thinks he is in the palace. Remember that he is a noble.

Yui smiled softly at Yuma and tried to calm him down. When she saw Shu crying like a little boy, she felt sorry for him and wanted to help him. Yui knows something is bothering Shu and that's why he doesn't want to go back to his family. But Yuma's anger and hatred towards Shu has made it difficult for Yui.

Yui took Yuma's hand and slowly got up from the bed and took him with her to the door of the room to leave the room together.

Yui: Yuma, let's go out. Let him rest more. Yesterday was a very difficult day for him.

Yuma puffed his cheeks and was still angry with Shu, but he couldn't say no to Yui. Holding each other's hands, they went down the wooden stairs and reached the small living room of the cottage.

Old man Tenjin was trying to prepare an elaborate breakfast for his daughter and Yuma and their new guest. He had placed fresh bread and warm milk on the table while moving with great effort and with his cane.

The old man's eyes fell on his daughter's bright pink eyes as they walked down the stairs hand in hand with her best friend. He smiled softly at Yui. Seeing her old father trying to make breakfast for them, Yui smiled brightly like an angel and ran to her father and hugged him. Yui caressed her father's cheek and kissed him.

Yui: Good morning papa.

Tenjin: Good morning my beautiful angel.

Yui got off Tenjin's arms and went to the bathroom to wash her hands and face. Yuma came towards the old man while frowning, and Tenjin saw Yuma's angry face and realized that he was upset about something.

Tenjin: Good morning my dear boy Yuma.

Yuma: Good morning Tenjin-san...

Yui came out of the bathroom and dried her face with a towel and went to the table and sat in her usual chair. Yuma reluctantly sat next to Yui and Tenjin poured warm milk for them. Yui drank the milk but Yuma just stared at the glass and didn't show any reaction.

Tenjin: Is our guest still asleep?

Yui: Fufu... yes papa. He is dreaming of sweets. He still thinks he is in the palace.

Hearing Yui's words, Yuma couldn't control his anger anymore and slammed his hands on the table causing Yui to flinch and Tenjin looked at him with wide eyes. Yuma looked at them angrily.

Yuma: I don't understand. Why do you act as if he is a child? He is even older than me, but you act as if he is a baby and needs to be taken care of. He's just a spoiled brat who thinks he's better than us. I really can't stand it.

Yui: Yuma, please don't be rude.

Yuma: You see. Whenever I speak, you always defend him. Why? I am your best friend, not him.

Tenjin: Fufu....hehehe.... Yuma, my boy, are you jealous?

Hearing the old Tenjin's words, Yuma blushed. He was really jealous. He was really jealous that Yui was paying more attention to that strange boy than Yuma, but he didn't want to say it because he was embarrassed. Also, Shu was still very annoying. He was a lazy noble boy and Yuma hated lazy people.

Yuma: Of course not... Why should I be jealous of a lazy and spoiled boy?

While the two children were eating breakfast and the old man Tenjin was trying to add more firewood to the fire in the fireplace, there was a noise.

Yuma: ...!

Yui: ....! Dad, are you waiting for someone?

Tenjin smiled softly at Yui and Yuma. With great effort, he picked up his cane and went to the door to open it.

Tenjin: Someone has come to see you. A person whom I am sure you would be very happy to see.

Saying this with a soft smile on his face, the old man Tenjin opened the door. A young boy entered the hut. He covered his face with a red scarf and had a hat on his head. Seeing Yuma and Yui, he removed the scarf from his face and gave a sweet smile to the two children.

Yuma: Brother???

Yui: Yamato-kun... I can't believe you're back.

Yui got up from her chair and quickly ran to the young boy and jumped into his arms. The boy hugged Yui while laughing and spun her around in the air. Yamato's body was very cold and it was obvious that he had come a long way.

Yuma went to his older brother and looked at him in surprise.

Yuma: When did you come back, brother?

Yamato smiled at his little brother and hugged him. Yamato was a hardworking boy and every winter he traveled to the mountains around the village to help the people in the mountain villages. He had just returned from a trip to see his little brother and his kind friend Yui.

Yamato: I just came back today. I missed you two so much.

Yui was still in Yamato's arms and didn't want to let go of his arms. She put her hand on Yamato's shoulder and hugged him again. While holding Yui, Yamato walked towards the old Tenjin who was looking at them with a smile.

Yamato: Hello Tenjin-san. I am very happy to see you again.

Tenjin: Hello my dear boy. I'm sure you had a hard journey, come sit down and have some breakfast.

Yamato put Yui down and took off his hat and placed it on Yuma's head. It was a hunting hat and Yuma always loved wearing it because it made him feel so strong.

Old man Tenjin brought Yamato a glass of milk and Yamato, who was very tired, quickly drank all the milk. He glanced at the table and noticed that part of the food was untouched and realized that Tenjin had probably set it for a guest.

While the young boy was drinking milk, the sound of the door was heard from the attic, and it was clear that the strange and lazy boy had finally woken up. The sound of calm footsteps coming from the stairs could be heard. He came down the stairs and faced a strange boy in the room.

As soon as he saw Shu, Yamato stood up and stared at the strange boy with wide eyes. The glass of milk fell from his hand and broke, causing Tenjin and Yui to flinch.

*Shater*

Yui: Kyaahh..... Yamato-kun???

Yamato was speechless. He could not believe what he was seeing. Seeing Shu in the old Tenjin's hut had terrified him. Yamato got up from his chair and walked over to Shu and bowed to him, causing Yui, Yuma, and the old Tenjin to look at him with wide eyes.

Yamato: Your Highness... What are you doing here?

Hearing Yamato's words, all the people inside the hut were shocked. What did he mean by these movements? Why had Yamato bowed down to a common noble and respected him like that.

Yuma: Brother, what are you doing? Why did you bow to him?

Yamato: He is King Karl Heinz's son. Prince Shu Sakamaki.

The prince's name made the old man's heartbeat increase and his body tremble. Terrible memories came back to him and he was shocked and could hardly breathe. Yuma and Yui were shocked at the young boy and couldn't believe what they were hearing.

Yui: Prince???? Shu-san, who are you?

An apprehensive atmosphere filled the room and Shu was embarrassed and didn't know what to say. He was afraid of revealing his identity and now he had to face it.

out of all, why her? She makes a vow, she won’t let that guy get away with this so easily, he might’ve fooled women and her mother too, but no, she won’t let him get his way with her.

apathy had completely drown her out, forcing her to lock herself in the duvets of the same bed that waked her up the previous night.

if only there was a way to stay locked in the night before, where everything was perfect, her reign of dreams still wasn’t collapsing.

if only, out of hundreds of females, he hadn’t chosen her, that imbecile was nothing worth the insults she called him, she knew that the power was in those lazy hands of his.

unlike her grey humour, her bedroom was filled to the very core with gifts, colorful fresh cut flowers landing to the sides, velvety rectangular boxes containing jewelry and gowns at the foots of her wardrobe.

she hated all this.

yes, soon-to-be brides were expected to receive all type of gifts, it was traditional in the clan that in order to not give the chosen bride the freeway to escape her destiny, she had to be showered with love and gifts.

her door was locked, that morning nobody disturbed her, certainly her maids tried to call desperately for her, but they returned in the kitchen with no response.

the ones she hoped would come banging at her door asking for forgiveness are her parents, but of course they were too much busy having breakfast with the king, her soon to be father in law.

as she gazed at her world collapsing in front of her eyes, warm tears collected in her cheeks, not a single sound out, just pure quiet sadness, how she wished to dissolve.

she angrily wiped off her tears with her pale hand as her figure straightened in the bed.

she sat in the bed still trying to dry her rosy cheeks, her brows curved in as her mouth trembled, in that moment she made a vow.

finally tea time was here, [y/n] sat her slim clothed figure to one of the dark wooden chairs, in front of her a piece of table antiquarian with pastries and tea pots on it.

their tea room was quite the figure, all but dark wooden victorian furniture, soft cushion covered sofas, all in the tones of black and white, the many piping hot pastries were waiting for the two guests [y/n] and her mother were expecting.

her mother sat nervously of meeting the king himself, since the mother of the boy had been troubled by her death.

her figure was covered by a baby turquoise gown, its puff sleeves covering her pale shoulders, the skirt going all the way to her ankles, her hair curled in one single lock covering her self shoulder.

she looked at the table with her eyes emptied, like someone squeezed them like you do with oranges.

her mother gazed at the clock more than one time, then gazed back at her not so amused daughter.

-“you are permitted to smile dearest, i’m sure you are thrilled to meet his majesty and your groom” her mother said trying to curl her lips in a motherly smile, [y/n] titled her head up to her mother’s direction, her look almost disgusted.

-“impatient.” [y/n] said forcing her voice to a serious tone, she was about to jump off that damn table.

as her gaze returned to the table, her lips curled when she saw at the corner of her eye a new maid not dressed like a maid, finally they were here.

two tall figures entered, almost in slow motion as wind gently hit them.

the king of all demons, Karlheinz, who had those long pale curls that fell over his body, his tall figure towered above their maids, his crimson cape slightly moving from his figure as wind hit it, maid’s blushing as he gave them his warm but refreshing fake smile, she knew that smile, it lured women to become obsessed with him.

next to him, the prince.

there he was, it was him in bones and meat, the man who ruined her life. The man who had chosen her as the next queen. The man who dared to snort at her?

was he being serious? He chose this, he knew that hundreds of events for the two would’ve required his attendance and he was bored, unbelievable.

he could’ve represented the sin of sloth, but in contrast with his personality, that classical beauty, fresh out of the fairytale’s appearance he had rejected debutant by debutant, one more beautiful than the other.

one of their maids dared to glare at you, clearly envious of what your destiny had became, at this point [y/n] only wanted to jump her seat and slap all the people in that room one by one, no she couldn’t.

as they made their entrance, her mother jumped her seat and instantly made a court bow for the two, of course dragging her along since they had to show respect.

the king and prince made their way to the chairs, as they seated, [y/n] glared at the two signing the start of her plan.

the blonde head sighed as he fixed his figure more comfortably, she didn’t even want to make eye contact or even look at that trash laying on her furniture.

-“its amusing how we finally have a chance to talk dearest” the king said smiling at [y/n] as he grabbed the porcelain cup of tea almost cupping it from how big his hands were.

well the prince chose her, she had no reason to be mad at the king, some delightful conversations won’t get in her way, or so she thought.

-“our [y/n] is just so grateful about the life she will have from now on” her mother said clearly faking, looking at [y/n]. She sighed, if she wanted the plan to work, admitting defeat wasn’t a good start.

[y/n] tossed her head up, gazing at the king trying to hide the disgust growing inside her stomach with a forced smile.

-“i truly am, you shall allow me to be certain i understand” [y/n] said smirking in evil, her mother nervously gazed at her as she knew the things she was capable of.

-“understand what dearest?” her mother asked clearly sending signals to her daughter to be careful with her speech, as is she cared.

-“i hear that your son, who amused us with his presence, isn’t quite looking forward to move his hands?” [y/n] said giving solid expressions of fake speech, her maids could’ve barely hold their giggles.

her mother almost flinched her figure as she tried not to choke on her beverage, the king surprisingly blinked more than once, and the prince titled his head to the side, almost like he was used to people commenting his laziness.

her mother opened her mouth just about to speak, but suddenly interrupted.

-“i beg your pardon?” the king said giggling to your words giving his son confused looks.

-“i hear his idleness has been troublesome more than once for the dynasty’s honor, is that quite not right?” [y/n] acted confused as her show kept going in, maybe the king could’ve killed her right on the spot, well her mother almost fainted when she heard those words.

but surprisingly, he started to giggle instead, showing that warm smile who got women head over heels for him.

-“his majesty she’s just quite confused, we beg for forgiveness.” her mother said frightened as she glared at her.

the king continued to chuckle as his son slightly smirked.

-“it makes no problem, after all we shall have a more intimate relationship since the families are uniting, well it is only right to say that my son is quite not the lover of hardworking” he said smiling warmly.

are you joking? [y/n] thought, how was he not offended by the way she talked at him? And the son? Just standing there smirking not saying a word.

her mother calmed at his words, [y/n] took a pastry at her mouth, making sure the son was watching her she bit in it strongly almost angrily.

she took her eyes on those blue orbits that were watching her from top to bottom, with all that mighty attitude he was just begging to be punched in the face, and he smirked again.

he was making fun of her, he knew that a plan was mixed in this speech of hers and he was happy that it wasn’t working.

the evening just flew by, between jokes, [y/n]’s failed tentatives of causing rage to the king, her mother flinching every time [y/n] opened her mouth, the blondie and [y/n] glaring at each other, and Shu smirking at [y/n]’s rosy cheeks when her mother discussed about her carrying children.

tea time was almost over, [y/n]’s mother and Karlheinz made their way on the balcony as they hoped for a flame between the two sweethearts.

[y/n] coldly drank her tea, quite unsatisfied with the result of her plan, her mind started to wonder what kind of woman would’ve caused Shu’s disapproval.

ignoring that Shu was still looking at her with that mighty attitude that’s convinced she would’ve fell for him, Shu’s arm was resting on the table stretched un [y/n]’s direction, as he gazed at her his fingertip tapped a rhythm in the wood of the table.

[y/n] started to think, maybe a tramp? Well if the rumors weren’t wrong he was quite the perverse guy, or maybe a know it all, but again if she was a fool he could’ve made fun of her which wasn’t a really successful result, acting lazy like him also would’ve caused for her honor to fall, then-

her thinking was disturbed by an annoying tapping on the table.

she knew better than letting him with the thought that he had the freeway with her, she sighed as she gazed him.

-“your handsome looks and seductive voice won’t do the job with me, i am quite strict with my standards, if you think i’ll completely ignore the wrong you did me, you are out of your mind” [y/n] smirked satisfied as she took a sip from her cup of tea.

Shu stretched his legs to the ground, his foot touching [y/n]’s ankles trough the gown, [y/n] looked up at him as he made that action, no man has ever dared to touch her, he did it so flawlessly.

-“so you think i am handsome and that my voice is seductive?” Shu said as he brought his arms together and smirked more.

[y/n]’s breath stopped, this man had the attitude of someone who wasn’t afraid of anything at all.

but… what was this strange… yet new velvety and refreshing feeling she felt when the tip of his shoe touched her ankle.

she was left there confused and curious of all this.

as they made their way at the entrance leaving the house, she wondered if love was to come at the core of this marriage.
