Getting caught by the GIW hadn't really been the plan, but then again going in to try and free the ghosts and liminals had been a risk and he knew that. He wasn't sure how long was even safe for him to stay in ghost form, so the fact that he had been in the form for nearly 3 days? A little concerning. But the fact of the matter was that he could not let them see his human form, and hopefully Damian would realize he had done something stupid and put the pieces together and find him.
As it was he was pretty sure that his new apparent roommate was a test for both of them, apparently she was a human who could see ghosts even outside of ecto dense places. They probably wanted to see how far those powers went, and see how he would react to having a human in tune with ghosts in here with him would make him react. Maybe having someone else to work with could help him get out before The Bat's could get involved. "So... I'm Phantom, you got a name lady?"

"Okay, actual plan-" He could do actual plans, he hadn't finished his studies with the league but he'd had strategy training and he'd had some hands on learning with Team Phantom and now with The Bats. Still it wasn't exactly his strong suit personally.
"You think you can pick the lock right? And you have some combat experience." He was keeping his voice low and letting out as much or his auro as he could to disrupt any surveillance as much as he could, which wasn't exactly easy with the ecto dampening field they had on the facility and how much just keeping his ghost form was taking.
"I'm a little rusty, but I'm sure I can handle them. They focus so much on anti ghost tech I doubt they can handle actual people and fighting. If we run into them we could always do a fake hostage gag to get them to lower their guard, it would probably only work once though." Him they wouldn't care about, but they might care if the human with apparent ghost sensing abilities was threatened before they got in whatever information they were looking for out of her.
"Yeah, I don't know what... any of that means." Ailani brushed off her ignorance with an awkwardly forced laugh. The only organizations that really mattered to her were Umbrella, Neo-Umbrella, the DSO, and of course, the B.S.A.A. "I can try my best. My girlfriend's great at lock-picking, but she's... she's in recovery right now."
That was the reason she'd gotten involved with the DSO in the first place. Ailani wanted to clear Jill's name and find some sort of damning evidence. The likelihood of that wasn't very high, but it was a debt repaid.
"Actual plan."

"The heroes? Batman and his buddies? They work with the Justice League... kinda, sometimes. Never mind, not important." He was getting side tracked, and he knew that was a slippery slop that he needed to avoid for now. The GIW were to dangerous for him to get distracted. "I think I have a paperclip in my pocket?" Not that it really looked like he had any pockets right now, but once he was back in his human form he could.
That and some other random assorted items, but the paperclip was probably gonna be more help than change or a pen. "Okay, Morse Code is good, we might need a way to quietly talk. Do you want an actual plan or just wing it? Because I can just wing it, my sister hates it."
Not that Danny couldn't help come up with a plan if he needed to, but he hated having to plan. Maybe that was part of why he was still stuck here and only decided to try and escape himself when he saw someone else was trapped. He'd wanted to just wait for The Bat's to show up, he'd gotten the ghost's and liminals he'd come for out before they managed to catch him after all. Without The Fenton's here he wasn't really all to worried about what they might do to him.
“I’m sorry, but I don’t know who that is,” Ailani replied. Her knowledge of the world of heroism was limited to bioterrorism incidents and whatever her girlfriend shared with her. “The… bats? There’s not any here, are there?”
Ecto and the GIW weren’t terms she was extremely familiar with, for she’d only started field work recently. Only started with the encouragement of Jill Valentine. She could try her best to help this kid — she owed him that much, at least, and if he was anything like Sherry, field work was in his future — but beyond that, she was trapped. Her power didn’t really grant her anything special; she couldn’t heal herself, she didn’t have super strength, and try as she might, she couldn’t become invisible.
“I have combat experience. You got anything to pick the lock with?” she asked, fishing around in her hair for a Bobby pin. No luck. “Morse code and ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi.”

"Not really see, but there was... this pool my grandfather had. I could always hear whispers from it, not everyone could." Those the Lazaras Pit has revived seemed to be able to hear it, he was pretty sure that it had made their pit madness worse for some of them. It had never bothered him though, he'd always heard it. Maybe it was because it was because he'd heard it from the first moment he was alive in the world.
"Seeing happened later on." It wasn't entirely a lie, he'd started seeing ghosts once he was in Amity. He was pretty sure that was less him though and more that they were stronger in ectoplasm dense areas, and later because of his accident with the portal. Now he could see them no matter where he went, but then again he technically was one half the time.
"But no, I'm not. A little young for the whole government organization thing, hoping for NASA one day though!" He gave a small grin at the statement, the thought of being in space giving a little bit of pep to his step. Not that he needed NASA to get into space, but not having to hide he'd been there would be cool. If the Anti Ecto Acts weren't a problem by the time he was done with college anyway.
He was letting the warning aura he had let out for the ghosts in the area pull back, the power pooling back into his ghostly core for now. "Definitely a ghost's haunt, I got lost. I think they're making it harder to get out, maybe they died trapped? Ghost's strengths usually come from passions or their cause of death." His ice core was a good example, his love of space made it a natural progression.
Ailani tried her best to hold her head high as he laughed at her, though she averted her gaze for a brief moment. This was exactly why she never shared her powers with anyone!
"And you've always been able to see ghosts?" she mused. Before coming to this world, she'd been on a mission with Jill Valentine. Carlos Oliveira had mentioned some odd technology associated with Umbrella, so the two agents had been sent to investigate it. The moment Ailani picked it up, she'd known it was haunted. Whispers of past owners called to her, and before she knew it, she was in another realm. One where seeing ghosts was... somewhat normal?
"We should, um. We should go talk to them. Maybe they can help me figure out how exactly I got here and why. Are you with the BSAA, by any chance? Theyre the ones who sent me here, and I think that the facility I was investigating might’ve been haunted.”

"I don't know, maybe. Red Robin was the one looking into their connections and where they have resources going and coming from. I'm more 'leap before you look' kinda hero, The Bat's hate it." Phantom told her, was that to much information? He glanced over to the door, sure that someone was at least watching. If they were listening in that would make all of this even harder, planning an escape wasn't exactly easy when the people holding you can hear you.
"Look, I don't know how much help I'm gonna be like this. Not with the ecto weapons they have." He had moved closer as he spoke, voice going quieter until it was barely a whisper once he was close enough. "When we figure out how to get out, if you can block my face well I make some kind of makeshift mask over my face with my sweater my human form would probably be more help."
Especially if he could get his hands on some kind of weapon, anything really. He might be a little out of practice with his LoA training, but he was slowly getting back into the swing. Honestly, huddling in the corner would probably make hiding his face easier. "Languages? Morse code?" If she knew any other languages it would be easier to make a plan, as long as they were quick about it so they couldn't get a translator in there. Even better if she knew any that were less common. He only had a few under his belt though, and it had been awhile since he bothered practicing. Even his Arabic was rusty at this point.
Ailani hated this place with everything that she was. The GIW agents reminded her far too much of Birkin, what with their white coats and apathy towards her. Reminded her far too much of “day 300: subject has begun to experience both visual and auditory changes regarding sensing the dead. Success.” and feeling subhuman. The person next to her… something about him made her think of Sherry Birkin, and she shivered.
“I’m Ailani Ka’ana’ana. I go by Lani, though.” Her full name was almost bitterly ironic. It literally translated to “spirit of the black magic”, and though the island she’d grown up on had plenty of ghosts, Ailani never believed in them. She assumed her parents were being superstitious, but of course, time had proven her wrong. “The people who captured us — they wouldn’t happen to be associated with William Birkin, would they? Or the Umbrella Corporation?”
Please say no, she silently begged the gods. Please tell me it’s safe here. Deep down, she wondered what these people wanted from her. Ailani usually ignored the ghosts she saw with a few exceptions, and the BSAA hadn’t sent her on any particular mission this time around. Would they send someone to come save her? She doubted it, but whatever. She’d been in the field enough times to figure her way out of this situation.
“We need to get out of here. The people I work for… I’m not expecting them to send anyone after me, especially after what happened in Spain.”

Danny let out a snort of laughter before his hand flew up to cover his mouth and nose, having to physically stifle the laughter at someone telling him of all people that they can see ghosts. "Sorry I-" Another laugh before he managed to pull himself together and tell her. "I believe you, really. You just have no idea how ironic you telling me of all people that you can see ghosts is."
Not that he thought it was funny, outside of ecto dense places like amity it wasn't entirely normal for people to be able to see ghosts. "Danny - just Danny." If anything he wondered how she had the ability, it she was born with it or something triggered it. But prying wasn't exactly his style.
"Their probably nervous about getting to close to me, I've kind of been putting out an... aura I guess you'd call it, just encase." He wasn't exactly full strength right now, the ecto here was weird and his core was having a hard time processing it. It was probably just because he wasn't in the right world, but he'd still rather avoid ghosts starting fights with him if he could help it.
“I can see ghosts,” Ailani confessed. She generally didn’t share that information, and if she was being honest, starting a conversation by sharing it was a first. Ailani folded her hands, smiling awkwardly. This kid was going to think she was crazy, and it wouldn’t be the first time. “There’s at least two here. I haven’t gotten a chance to talk to them yet, but… they seem friendly enough. I’m Ailani Ka’ana’ana, but you can call me Lani if you’d like.”
