So I know we've all seen and dealt with the porn bots. But has anyone else noticed the "news" bot invasion?
(I use the term news loosely, the recent wave seems to mostly be posting links to what are allegedly horoscopes. I haven't clicked to check)
Like here's three user accounts and well, sure they don't follow the blank blog template. But they look suspiciouly similar...
and that's just example that all have the same "US,UK, World Top News" in the blog description. And well... the list is getting long.
I up to 7 not counting the screen shotted blogs above.
#at the moment the vast majority I've noticed end in polycom#but like its weird#and annoying#and everytime I block one on a tag a I follow#tumblr can't show me the latest posts for a while#presumably while it recalibrates to remove a frankly disturbing number of rapid succession posts from that account#bot accounts#news bots#sorry if you're real people I guess#but you throw my search results and I hate it
