Is it Witch Hunter or Witchhunter...? Eh, who cares? It's Prester Virgil if you can't decide :)

🔱There was no way you were gonna confess that you had a crush on Prester. NO WAY.

🔱...Until one day while playing Truth or Dare with your friend they dared you to confess to your crush and let them watch {they didn't even know who it was}. So you had to explain that you had a crush on none other than the Witchhunter... and you still had to do it. With your friend watching.

🔱So you confessed to Prester and he basically told you to get off his tower unless you wanted to be turned into roast [species] for his dinner table. You ran away pretty quickly.

🔱Little did you know Prester actually had a crush on you too, he just wouldn't dare ever show it. Ever.

🔱One day while fighting him, sound and zap miss a few too many times and all the Cogs end up with a hive mind... and with their linked consciousness, one of them spills Prester's secret. He gets so mad that the Cogs start turning on themselves and you toons kinda watch in confusion as the chaos unfolds.

🔱After all the Cogs are done destroying themselves, all that's left is Prester at 0 HP. The rest of your group takes the W and leaves, but you stick around to tease confront him about your newfound knowledge.

🔱After a lot of arguing about it, he finally reluctantly admits that he has a crush on you. You ask him out on a date expecting him to say no, but to your surprise he says yes... under the condition you tell NOBODY, not even your best friends. You agree and arrange the details for the date.

🔱You tell your closest friend about it anyways but tell them to keep it a secret, and it stays between just the two of you.

🔱The first date goes... fine? And the next dates go fine as well, and so on...

🔱If you don't know big words, expect to need a dictionary at all times while talking to him.

🔱PDA? Who's she? Prester finds it embarrassing enough that he could be seen with a toon, let alone hugging them or holding their hand. You still do it to fluster him and he {surprisingly} doesn't resist, but it's clearly very embarrassing for him.

🔱He's basically swallowing all of his pride to be dating a toon in the first place.

🔱Behind closed doors, the most he will really ever initiate is holding your hand because he still can't get over how embarrassing it is to date a toon. He's ashamed of his feelings.

🔱You start helping him work through his feelings of guilt and shame, and slowly over time he opens up more and more to you. Under all that pride and those big words, he really does love you and wants to show it.

🔱Eventually, he even manages to say, "I love you," to you.

🔱His coworkers notice that he doesn't seem as... rebellious towards the rules? to get rid of toons. While the CLO is happy he's not getting disciplinary charges every 5 seconds anymore and doesn't care to investigate further, some other Cogs take it upon themselves to find out why. AKA, they ask Bellringer to find out. And when he finds out Prester is dating a toon, he tells EVERYBODY.

🔱To your surprise, instead of denying everything and trying to say Ben's just starting rumors, he actually admits the rumors are true.

🔱After that drama cools off, Prester ends up kind of mellowing out a little bit. He's still definitely on the aggressive and prideful side, but it's way more manageable.

🔱He even gets the courage to hold your hand around Ye Olde Toontowne... awww.

🔱If you kiss him, angle his hat downward so that your toony ears kinda bend a little bit {or more if they're already pretty long}. He likes it.

🔱His way of complimenting you is calling you a bunch of big words he knows you won't understand, but look them all up later and he's actually saying nice stuff about you.

🔱Your relationship will start off with him acting pretty cold and distant, but after a while he warms up to you and you have a very... well... interesting relationship.

You were nervous. You were very nervous. Ever since you got under Prester’s titanium-like shell, you two have been friends. But you just didn’t expect to have a crush on him. After thinking about your feelings, you decided you wanted to tell him.

That’s where the problems usually make themselves known. Prester was a very uptight and strict cog. Hell, it took forever for him to consider you two friends, but lovers? You’re nerves were shot.

Making your way up his tower was stress inducing. It felt as if you were fighting him for the first time again.

“Ah Yes, There you are. I was beginning to think you abandoned me with our usual conversations. Do not be tardy again. I will not be kind next time.” Prester looked back at you and the turned back, looking over the edge.

“S-Sorry, Prester. I was just thinking about something.” You responded, taking a seat next to him?

“Ah? Based on your sullen tone, and your jittery stature. There must be tomfoolery happening. What is the issue? I will inquire about it later if I’m so inclined-“ He was going to ramble but you stopped him.

“Prester, can i tell you something? It’s important.” You asked him. Nervous, silently twiddling your thumbs.

“Oh? On with it.” His burning gaze inflamed your very soul.

“Prester, I…I think I like you? Like in a…I love you, kind of way- Is that bad? Should I have not told you this or-“ His ‘Tsk’ noise made your blood run cold.

“Foolish Toon. Why must you worry yourself so? About your feelings towards me? Romantic nonetheless. Have you considered an old cog such as myself could not possibly return these emotions? Toon,” He turns to you. “You have fallen in my favor. Unlike others, I’d like to be seen with you. I enjoy your presence..What I’m trying to say is, I favor you more than I favor other things. I…I found myself falling for you too.” He finally finishes.

Wow.

For someone who acts like he hates everything and everyone. He has a way with words…

“Oh, Wow…Prester..Sorry for freaking out before. That’s really sweet..”

He wraps his arm around you waist.

“Think nothing of it, Toon.”

“So, question.”

“On with it.”

Thank you! My goal is to do all 16 H&H managers... eventually... *cough* But for now, have some Prester! I had a bit too much fun writing these. I'll try to figure out Cosmo in the future.

Prester Virgil (Witch Hunter) Relationship Headcanons:

First of all, I hope you have an extensive vocabulary, including knowledge of obscure and archaic words, or at least the ability to quickly figure out what words mean. Prester might be willing to give you a few definitions once he likes you enough, but conversations would take ages if he had to explain every word to you. And I don't think he's physically capable of not speaking like that, so good luck.

On the other hand, if you take the initiative and show off your own phraseology, he won't know how to react at first. He's used to his followers listening to him without question and even extolling him (seriously, they call him "sire"), but having an actual equal conversation with someone? Unheard of. He must seek further colloquy with you!

If you know/look up the vocabulary he employs, you might notice that he uses some words incorrectly (like "froward" and "contemn")! Point this out and he'll get noticeably flustered and claim he is using an alternative definition. Then he'll go home and look up an assortment of antiquated words to throw at you—correctly this time!—the next time you meet.

Otherwise, he talks a lot about law and his work with C.O.G.S. Inc. And I mean a lot. Getting him to shut up about his accomplishments is a feat and a half. Flattery won't get you anywhere, either; again, he's used to that from his followers.

The best way to catch his eye is to prove your own worth to him. Demonstrate your talents and achievements, especially if they're related to his field of work. Having someone to actually discuss his views on law with would be new to him. Even if you don't work in law, making an effort to learn about it is enough to capture his attention. Just brace yourself to hear about his own extensive knowledge for... a while, let's say.

Slowly, he'll grow to respect you. You have to be patient and persistent with Prester, but with enough time, he'll realize he actually enjoys your presence and discussions! He'll even be willing to let his guard down juuuuust a bit and have more casual conversations with you. He still uses his extensive vocabulary, though.

Respect will blossom into admiration, and he'll finally realize that you would make the perfect partner for him. He can't just ask you out normally, though. No, this man will write the equivalent of a sonnet about how only you are his equal, how you have made him a better Suit, maybe a quick mention of how happy you make him because he's embarrassed about that, and, most importantly, how you should combine your greatness in a romantic capacity.

He's grateful for the mask he always wears because he's actually really nervous about being vulnerable like this. He'll have to contain his relief when you say yes.

He's not much for PDA beyond the occasional quick kiss or little touch that only you two know about. In private, he's still not the biggest cuddlebug or anything, but he does like it when you press or lean against him. He's also the type to unconsciously drape one arm over you while you two sleep.

When Prester is dedicated to something, he is dedicated to it. That includes you. He's not a subservient lover by any means—he expects you to pull your weight, too—but your happiness becomes part of his. And he's willing to pull a few strings to get you what you want.

Unfortunately, he also rarely shuts up about the things he's dedicated to. His coworkers and followers end up hearing a lot about you. His followers love you, at least!
