Domino often stared at Manny. Greedily and openly. In front of everyone and in private. He blew kisses to him, winked, cunningly pulled his brows and showed his tenderness in every way known and unknown to man. He liked to watch what his lover was doing (as Manny was busy with something all the time), and insert sarcastic or not so comments on occasion to embarrass him as much as possible. But now he was looking so intently that it seems that a hole will soon form in manuel's skull. Cafe owner was just putting a new batch of alcohol on the shelves and didn't seem to be doing anything criminal. But he started to doubt it. And who wouldn't?
After putting the last bottle in it’s place, Manny turned on the heels of his pointy shoes and looked back at Hurley. Domino didn't comment on it in any way. Domino didn't event comment on anything all evening in any way. He just kept a detached silence. Even... No, _especially_ when they had problems — Domino always found some words to throw to the wind, just not to stay in uncomfortable silence (Manny eventually stole this habit from him, not that he had been much taciturn himself).
Probably, he was lost in his thoughts.
Thinking Domino is a terrible thing, and trust him, Manny had a lot of experience with every kind of Domino Hurley.
"Is something wrong?"
"I was just thinking," oh God, he really was thinking, "about that situation with Nick," Hurley chuckled strangely.
Just a couple of hours ago Nick got punched in his smug face, hurshly, twice. Manny would have done more damage, but he wasn't in the mood to get into bigger trouble than necessary. And, perhaps, because of the fear for the safety of those who were even closer to him than Lola.
And, to his surprise, he didn't have to. Ex-tour agent's blow was not only improperly delivered, but also weak, so the expected effect of "the more a person is an arsehole, the more pleasant it is to watch him fall" did not work out. Angry Virago staggered and took several steps back to stabilize his position and grabbed aching jaw, but after a few seconds he raised eyes full of rage, starting to step towards Manny with certain intentions. The smaller skeleton already wanted to get out his scythe, as Domino grew between them.
The same Domino Hurley who "don't interfere in your affairs, ‘cause it's you who decided to chase the lady."
The one who, unfortunately for Nick, continued to box even after death. He had a heavy hand (although sometimes you can't tell by how carefully he puts his palms on Manny at any convenient and inconvenient moment).
"I think you was told to lie down. Lie the hell down, pretty boy."
So Nick lied down. He didn't even hurry to get up, just raised himself on elbows. The assailant on his fragile lawyer's life only smiled slyly, touching his cheek with an index finger, asking without words if Nick wanted to get more.
"Is it because of that girl with the camera? "
Domino snorted and rolled his eyes. He didn't even consider it necessary to answer anything, just folded arms on his chest and went behind Calavera's back, allowing to enjoy the view of the defeated enemy.
"No, just for your beautiful eyes."
Immediately after that (apart from a small dialogue between Manuel and Virago, who finally got up), Domino suddenly became thoughtful and silent. It is unclear, however, what exactly made him
Think.
It's also unclear what he was thinking about.
So Manny carefully sighed:
"Nick is still an asshole and will get what he deserved. If not from us, then from someone else. "
"That's not what i'm talking about. I'll be honest, your fighting skills blow harder than clowns on the carnival day, Manny."
Ex-tour agent didn't even understand this sentence at first.
"...what? "
"Firstly, you never seem to understand where you were aiming," Domino began to bend his fingers, enumerating, while the expression of his interlocutor's face gradually changed from surprised to annoyed, "Secondly, it was as if you were trying to jump up during the punch. If you lift your body, the punch does not get stronger, on the contrary, you lose in the momentum. You also made this awkward rookie gesture with your hand before hitting him, if he expected a fight, then—"
"I got it, i got it," Manny finally came out of the trance, interrupting the explanations, "Are you giving me a bold hint that if you hadn't intervened, i wouldn't have been able to deal with Virago?
"Mmm, something like that, yes, " Domino chuckled, immediately covering himself from the hit, aimed directly at his skull, yes, "I'm kidding, hon, i'm kidding. Maybe it would have worked out with him, but if you suddenly have problems with someone more serious, then there will be no time for my sparkling jokes."
Manny put on his favorite unimpressed look.
"And what do you suggest? Or are jokes all you're good for?"
"I could train you."
Manuel turned his head abruptly, looking in disbelief at Domino, who, on the contrary, looked more relaxed than before. Interpreting Calavera’s emotions in his own way, Domino added:
"I'm serious. Believe it or not."
"If this is some of your games again, then i am strictly against it."
"Huh, oh no, Manny, this time i'll make you sweat only in an embrace with a punching bag. Sorry to disappoint, sugar."
"...shut up. "

Sports are terrible. Jogging, exercising in the morning is more or less acceptable, but "professional" and everything that came close to this term could burn in hell. He will personally make sure that each exercise is stuffed as deep as possible into inferno.
At first, everything was even interesting, although the "uniform" caused a lot of confusion and embarrassment. Domino found bright yellow shorts close to Manny’s size and a huge white t-shirt with too much cleavage reveal for any reasonable person’s taste. Boxing gloves were too big for Calavera, but this was solved by tightening them twice as hard as it was intended. The fact that they didn’t fall off was already a victory.
Manny looked not so bad.
(And that thought was a lie.)
Besides, who will see him here, looking like a wannabe restler? This is their office, where only Glottis sometimes comes in without knocking.
Hurley, standing next to him in the same t-shirt (which was sitting on him just right), and dark green pants from the suit, looked at least like a dandy compared to the future athlete.
For the start, they discussed a little theory (mainly where to hit), then practiced a comfortable stance. It's was easy. It was something Calavera could handle. However, this, of course, became a reason for Domino to get into his personal space — to raise his hand, to move his shoulder,to try to kiss him on the cheek. Damn this tactile bastard.
But then the warm-up and stretching began, at which manuel already suspected that the sport was not his cup of tea. This was only confirmed by training punches. And even the proximity of their bodies from time to time did not bother the tour agent. Because he didn't care about anything at all. He just wanted to finish this ordeal that had fallen on his crisp shoulders as soon as possible.
Manny physically couldn't sweat and it seemed to make it worse.
So, as soon as they finished, he plopped down on the bed, sprawled out in the shape of a star and tried to catch his breath. A much less soapy Domino sat down next to him, grinning and patting negligent student on the shoulder.
"If i wanted, oh... Dios mio... To die again, Domino, then i would...," Calavera swallowed heavily, feeling dryness in his mouth, "prefer to stay alive. Honestly."
His «mentor» only chuckled and, after taking a sip from his water bottle, handed it to manuel. Manny eagerly drank from the refreshing source, emitting a satisfied moan.
"I'll take note of that. But overall, not bad for a beginner," Domino said, taking a seat.
Manny sat as well, still holding the bottle, and only snorted briefly. Yeah, of course. Thanks for a compliment.
Calavera’s expression changed when Domino placed his hand on his lover’s waist, gradually decreasing the distance between them. Manny even coughed out some water, immediately putting the bottle to the side. And Hurley already leaned towards him with certain intentions.
"I... I don't know how to kiss either!" Calavera paNicked, feeling himself blush with golden light on the cheekbones, and pushed his partner's hand away, not allowing to come closer. Hurley did stop, but with the same sleazy smile on his face.
"Is that the only thing that bothers you in this situation?" he laughs.
If Domino thinks he's so smart and can manipulate a tired skeleton, then...
(at this moment, a broad hand lowered from his waist to his thigh and gently caressed it, while the eye sockets narrowed with a mischievous flame.)
-he was right.
Manuel could only mutter something indistinguishable and blush even more, trying not to look anywhere except the floor. Domino, ilipollas astuto...
He still nodded briefly, hoping that Domino wouldn't notice it at all. But after that gesture, the hand on his thigh caressed it again, and Hurley pressed to his cheek with a neat kiss.
"Then it's not a problem. I'll teach you everything i know myself," he said, pointing to his own chin with one finger, pulling lover into a more serious kiss, at which Calavera trembled, squeezing his fists and only a couple of seconds later relaxing.
Closing his eyes, manuel placed both hands on the broad shoulders, allowing himself to "learn."
Domino was experienced even in this and knew what he was doing. Otherwise, how to explain that manuel so eagerly indulged in the kiss and secretly rejoiced that, in essence, he didn't have to breathe. As they wouldn't have enough air, especially after training.
They still got separated. Domino started to sprinkling the long skull with ten short, ringing (bone on bone, after all) kisses. At the corner of his mouth, under the eye sockets, chin... Wait a minute... Kisses passed cervical vertebrae, all more and more low-lying, and finally hit the collarbone. At this point, Manny had already hugged Hurley's neck, pressing him closer and ardently trying not to make any loud sounds. And so as not to give one idiot any extra reason for pride.
He almost stumbled when his collarbone, and then his cervical vertebra, were bitten. With the last bite, Domino slowly, with pleasure, ran his tongue along light marks, receiving a stifled groan and a weak punch in the back.
Deciding that Manny had enough torture for today, Hurley got up again, returning to the usual kisses, with both hands, however, climbing under the shirt. Nothing criminal and even warm, but when will this pervert stop groping him?
Opening his eyes, Manuel saw his lover's languid gaze, to which he had already become accustomed, and blinked shyly a couple of times.
"What are you looking at?" he mumbled, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand, trying to catch his breath.
"Oh, just checking for progress," this idiot then leaned towards Calavera’s non-existent ear and whispered, "You have potential, kitten."
"Okay. That's it. Get out," Manny immediately jumped out of bed, covering the lower part of his face with his hand, blushing and glowing insufferably. This... This... This is unspeakable! He just knew it would end like this.
"Аs you say. But tomorrow i'll make you do this again," Calavera turned around angrily, but only get chuckle in response, "I was talking about boxing. And what were you thinking about?" the man smirked.
One of the boxing gloves flew into Domino’s head...
