When It All Started

^me as a kid

I can still kind of remember when I made my first steps on being able to read. I was three years old and was going to school at a Montessori school in my hometown of Libertyville, Illinois. In the mornings at school my favorite thing to do was to go on the computer and play reader rabbit during school. there was nothing better then hearing the name of the letter that was printed on the carrots and having to know which letter was which so I could get it in the back of reader rabbits train. when the teachers saw this, they had me start to come to a couple of extra school time at night. the night classes were all about teaching people to read, and once they got me started I could not stop. I remember reading books that would have a main character name Sam. Sam had a dog. The dog's name, was spot. I think I still have some of the old black and white paperback books. They really helped me first learn how to read.
