Teaching Children the Value of Saying Thank You
Tumblr media
Introduction: It would be important to instruct the children how to say "thank you" in the process of social development at Daycare West Covina CA. It enables them to comprehend and relate to humanity more by learning to value kindness and acknowledging others' input. In the following work, we discuss several creative and effective approaches for communicating the significance of this virtue in kids while enhancing their sense of appreciation and creating solid personal links. Why is it Important:
Gratitude: Gratitude stands for a warm feeling in our hearts when we notice something significant and good happen to us. It's exactly like gift giving; when someone gives us something, we feel very happy and appreciated. Being indebted is the saying "thank you."
Politeness: Polity is recognizable in our speech by simple truths and good behavior. That's as if we are saying "please" when we want something and "thank you" while returning something that we got. Politeness is good because it makes people to feel good and the world becomes better.
Connection: It is bonding emotionally by being a close or special friend to them. In addition, the phrase 'thank you' creates a special tie with the person who has done a kind deed towards us. It feels like I have become their best friend or even something stronger.
Acknowledgment: We are taught to be grateful for what others have done for us when it comes to the act of acknowledgment. It's as if when parents bring us breakfast, we then show our appreciation by telling them "thank you" as an act to let them know that we indeed noticed their efforts and we also feel grateful.
Respect: Respect is about being kind and respectful of people and it means that we appreciate their worth. We'd like to remind each other that in saying "thank you," what we really do is to treat the person kindly and we express our gratitude for the help or support, no matter how big or small it is.
Happiness: Happiness is a contrast that is felt in the heart, a feeling of joyful sentiment and contentment. Gratitude, when we say "thank you," is one of the best feelings that may make our building and the person we thank happier. It is just like whether I am going to spread joy and warmth or not!
Self-esteem: Self-esteem is the attitude of having confidence in one's own efficacy and/or worth. A "thank you" sometimes helps us to rebuild our sense of self-esteem by letting us show that we are courageous and positive enough to acknowledge what we have received.
Generosity: Generosity refers to helping and sharing peacefully with others. We can substitute the words "Thank you" with our happiness because we are grateful when we say that appreciation. It trains us to do good deeds and say kind words to other people, inspiring harmony session after session.
Conclusion: Walnut Academy Montessori and Daycare La Puente CA students to express "thank you" to teachers is very important. Empathy, kindness, respect, and happiness that children heal bring closer community ties and ultimately strong bonds in society. Gratitude makes the character, or the compass, of children giving directions that can never be erased by their parents and caretakers.

Tips to encourage emotional intelligence in Kids
Tumblr media
Society is modernizing itself, and kids have to deal with all these changes. That is why kids must have emotional intelligence. Emotional intelligence, also known as EI, is the ability to understand, regulate, and effectively explain one's emotions while navigating the emotional complexities of others. As parents, it is your responsibility to encourage emotional intelligence in your kids. The Child Care Covina, CA team has highlighted some tips.
Let's read it out:
Be aware of your child’s emotions
Parents who are conscious of their own emotions and attentive to their children's emotions do not expect their child to exaggerate their emotional displays for their feelings to be noticed.
Sharing personal stories about emotions
Another way any school or preschool teacher can try emotional intelligence in the classroom they can share their stories about their own emotions or feelings. Also, try to learn about their emotional experiences and tell them helpful ways to express and regulate emotions. During morning meetings, large or small group time, snacks, or meals, educators can share short (2–3 minute) developmentally appropriate stories. Educators will establish a classroom environment in which children feel supported in sharing their feelings if they describe how the emotion looked and felt, the situation that caused the emotion, and how they behaved and controlled the emotion.
Label Your Child’s Emotions
Kids must know how they are feeling. You can help your baby give a name to their emotions —at least the emotions you feel that your baby is feeling.
For example, when your baby is upset after losing a match or sharing something with another child. You can ask the child if you are feeling angry about this. Am I right?
Words like "angry," "upset," "shy," and "painful" can help to express their feelings.
So never ignore sharing the words for positive emotions, too, like "excited," "joy," "thrilled," and "hopeful."
Encourage Open Communication
The ability to express emotions healthily and constructively is an important part of emotional intelligence in children. Encourage your children to express themselves honestly and without fear of being judged. You can accomplish this by inquiring about how they feel or think about certain circumstances. Listen actively to their comments and affirm their emotions, even if they appear small to you.
Conclusion
These are some ways that you can encourage emotional intelligence in kids. The Child Care West Covina CA team suggests that you always focus on kids when they are involved in public activities to observe their emotions.

How teachers can help preschoolers deal with their fear?
Tumblr media
In childhood, there are lots of things that scare us. Sometimes the fear becomes anxiety, and it is very crucial to make your child strong to deal with this kind of situation. Children who experience continuous, exaggerated, and irrational anxiety about the future are said to be anxious. Your child may find it challenging to behave appropriately in a variety of settings due to this, which can express itself in physical, behavioral, and emotional ways. As a result, the Daycare City of Industry CA team has included some suggestions that they have used in their school.
Let us read them aloud and try to help our children cope with the situation:
Take time out
When you're overtaken with fear or worry, it's tough to think clearly. Spend some time alone so that your body can relax.
you can go for a 15-minute walk with your child, make some tea, or take a shower with your baby to distract their mind from your worries.
Have fun role-playing!
If you can incorporate humor and amusement into your role-playing, your child will be more inclined to participate since it is fun and lighthearted. Humor and amusement are excellent techniques to lower your child's fear. When acting out the skill, dress up, use your child's favorite action figures, or use silly voices. Roleplaying should be fun for your child and something you love doing together.
Talk to your child about what is frightening them
Children may be aware of their fears, but they may not always be able to articulate them. Specific queries can be helpful. For instance, you can ask a little child who is scared of dogs, "What makes dogs scary?" Did a dog frighten you or knock you to the floor? Is there a specific dog that frightens you? You'll have a better notion of how to assist your child in overcoming her fear after you have a better understanding of what she is scared of.
Children occasionally experience dread from relatively simple things such as being alone, darkness, dogs or other large animals, bugs, heights, getting shots or visiting the doctor, unfamiliar or loud noises, and imaginary monsters such as the "thing" under the bed.
Understanding the impact of fear on children
Children that experience fear may experience long-lasting impacts that continue to affect them as they get older. The bodily consequences and symptoms of anxiety, such as a racing heart, shortness of breath, heavy perspiration, etc., are constantly being updated by preschool teachers. Preschool teachers are well-equipped with the required skills and approaches that can help children feel safer and more confident in school because they have a thorough awareness of the specifics of fear and how it affects cognitive elements.
Conclusion
These are some suggestions to help you strengthen your child so that he or she can deal with the frightening situation. Also, the children's brains can be calmed by using some relaxation techniques that preschool teachers can teach them. They communicate with parents frequently to let them know how their kids are doing in school. The top teams, like Daycare West Covina, CA, teachers, put time and effort into learning how toddlers' fears affect them and how to cope with them.

How to develop self-care quality in your children?
Tumblr media
Developing qualities in children is an important part of parenting. As parents, you should take care of every single part of their life. If we talk about self-care, it is important for everyone, including kids. To develop the quality of self-care in your child, here are some tips from our Montessori City of Industry, CA, team.
Let's read them out:
Get enough sleep
Make sure your child is getting enough sleep. The amount of sleep required varies based on age, but most children need at least 9 to 11 hours of sleep per night. Establish a regular bedtime routine to help your child wind down and get ready for sleep.
Eat a healthy diet
Encourage your child to eat a balanced and healthy diet that includes plenty of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins. Try to remove the sugar food from their diet or meal plan.
Stay active
Encourage your child to do physical activity every day as much as possible. This could include playing outside, participating in sports or dance classes, or taking family walks or bike rides.
Practice good hygiene
Teach your child good hygiene habits, such as washing their hands regularly, brushing their teeth twice a day, and taking regular baths or showers.
Manage stress
Help your child learn healthy ways to manage stress, such as practicing deep breathing, taking a break to do something fun or relaxing, or talking to a trusted adult about their feelings.
Express emotions
Encourage your child to express their emotions in healthy ways, such as through art, music, or writing. This can help them learn to manage their feelings and communicate effectively with others.
Work on the mind
Kids today frequently lose themselves in episodes of their favorite TV shows, computer games, or excessive screen time. While technology will play a significant role in your child's life and future, you should also encourage them to exercise their minds by taking breaks from the TV or iPad. Invest in educational toys, playthings that encourage imaginative play, and craft supplies for your kids. All of these can aid in their skill development and enable them to think things through. Take it a step further and invite them to join you as you practice yoga or another activity that will help them connect with their inner selves. It is the best way to help them gain awareness and insight.
Engage in self-care activities
Encourage your child to engage in self-care activities that they enjoy, such as reading, drawing, playing with toys or games, or taking a bubble bath.
Conclusion
Self-care is an important part of our daily lives, and we have to instill it in our children at a young age. It will help them live longer. By teaching your child to prioritize their physical and emotional well-being, you are setting them up for a healthy and fulfilling life. Sometimes it becomes complicated for working parents, so you need to connect with a team that will offer the best guidance and cares to your child. If you are looking for the same Montessori West Covina CA team, we recommend that you do extensive research before deciding on a place for your child.

How Can Parents Deal With Naughty Kids
Tumblr media
Managing Preschool kids’ misbehaviour can be extremely frustrating for parents. However, occasionally a child's misbehaviour is caused by the parent's actions. A parent's reaction to a child's misbehaviour may be as follows:
·         Annoyed
·         Helpless
·         Frightened
·         Sympathetic
·         Helpless
There are a few simple rules to follow to help you deal with your misbehaving child. Here are some suggestions for coping with misbehaving children:
Fix Limits - Don't take everything your youngster says at face value. Set boundaries and don't place all of the responsibility for determining what he needs and doesn't need on his shoulders. If he throws tantrums, be firm but gentle, and inform him that such behaviour will not earn him what he wants.
Be Consistent - Don't give your kids a different treatment every day. If you are strict one day and lenient the next, your child will not take you seriously. If you don't let him watch TV for lengthy periods one day and then let him watch as much as he wants the next day because you're busy and want him to stay quiet, your child will get a confusing message. As a result, be consistent in your rule-making and enforcement.
Give them some independence - Covina, CA playschool teachers don't tell theirstudents everything they should do. Allow him limited freedom in terms of dressing himself or deciding how he wants to consume his milk.
Limit their screen time - Watching cartoons indefinitely can cause agitation in youngsters, causing them to become overly stimulated and prone to misbehaviour. As a result, place limits on how long your youngster can watch TV or play computer games.
Set Consequence - Make your youngster aware of the repercussions of his misbehaviour. He needs to understand that if he throws tantrums or shouts for no reason, he will be punished. Tell him that such behaviour is not acceptable.
Be firm - You may be tempted to give in to your child's demands if he has been weeping nonstop for a long time. But don't give in to his requests every time he cries or yells, as this would just ruin him in the long term. He'll believe that if he screams or yells loudly enough, he'll get something, so learn to ignore his cries. On his own, he will cease weeping.
Pay attention –In Preschool, children may engage in misbehaviour to gain the attention. Learn to calmly listen to your child and ask him why he is acting the way he is, as well as what you can do to help him stop. Your thoughtful behaviour will be favourably received by your youngster.
Don’t scream - Don't lose your cool and yell at your child; this is counterproductive because it will temporarily stop his tantrum, but he will learn to imitate you in the future.
Don’t show your bad mood to your kids - When you're in a foul mood and your child is misbehaving, don't take your frustrations out on him. If you yell at your child while he isn't doing anything wrong, he may become enraged and may misbehave. Maintain your composure and patience as you deal with the problem. Children are impressionable; your calm demeanour will be observed by your child, and he will learn to be cool in the face of adversity by simply watching you.

It Is No Use To Be A Codependent Parent
Tumblr media
Codependency is a faulty concept that almost suffocates the warm relation between parents and children. A codependent parent crosses the limit in an unhealthy manner. It is so damaging that it does not allow a healthy relationship to flourish. According to a preschool child specialist in West Covina, CA, it is a desire to control children, and that has a detrimental effect on healthy child development.
Codependency is a learned behavior that can be passed from one generation to another. It is also known as relationship addiction. Codependent relationships are often emotionally destructive and abusive. A co-dependent parent is one who has an unhealthy attachment to their child and tries to exert excessive control over the child’s life because of their attachment.
In a seminar in a preschool in West Covina, CA, a psychologist says that Codependency can be explained as an anxious attachment style. It is an anxious, insecure attachment style that is born from the fear of abandonment and a sense of being undervalued. It can be also referred to as relational addiction and it occurs when parents are anxious about being separated from their children. They keep adamantly opposing the independence of children and getting separated from them.
No parents like to watch their children face adversities or miseries. But, preschool caregivers of a school in West Covina, CA think that solving problems of their own make children more mentally stronger. It increases their sense of independence and decision-making power. But codependent parents like to keep their children in the cocoon so that they do not have to face any problems or experiences and adversities in life. These types of parents show their unwillingness to let their children struggle. It is normal that you will safeguard your children from danger but if this tendency crosses the limit, then it is alarming and ultimately harms the children in the long run because parents’ continuous interference in everything could prevent them from developing the life skills they require to succeed. Over involvement of parents in every matter of child is the sign of codependency.
It seems that a codependent parent can never be wrong. A parent’s attitude is that he is always right and children have to follow his decision. Even when a child is an adult, the parent will refuse to approach an argument or to a simple discussion if there is a possibility of being wrong. Instead of it, they will pressurize their children to follow his view.
Codependent parents often sacrifice other relationships and hover over their children 24 hours. They first spoil the relationship with their partner. Instead of investing time and energy into building a meaningful romantic relationship, they solely focus on their child. Gradually parents isolate themselves from other family members and friends. Instead of going to a reunion of school friends, they will like to keep themselves involved in any type of service of their children.
But, according to school caregivers, teachers, and child psychologist, this type of attitude is unhealthy. It creates a rift between parents and children in near future.

3 Differences Between Montessori And Traditional Preschool
If you are looking into putting your child under a good Childcare Walnut, CA facility, you must have come across various options like Montessori and other traditional schools. If you want to know what the difference between Montessori and traditional preschool is, here are three points that will help you to decide better.
Tumblr media
The first difference between the two is that, in Montessori walnut, CA, your child will be encouraged to learn actively in a hands-on manner. Various things like colors, shapes, and numbers will be taught with objects and other visual aids. In traditional preschool, children are encouraged to learn passively. They are taught to listen to and memorize things. Therefore, Montessori curriculum tends to be tailored to the individual need of each student, whereas in traditional schools, the curriculums remain the same for all children. Hence children with a learning disability of those who are slow learners tend to do better in a Montessori school vs a traditional school.
Secondly, the teachers or a Childcare Walnut, CA, following a Montessori method of teaching will assist a child on a one-to-one basis. They encourage the student to do their work by themselves. Since the curriculum is based on the individual need of the child, it is flexible and can change. In traditional preschools, the teachers must follow a definite set of curriculum and schedule. They teach the whole classroom and not one individual child. Hence a child is expected to keep pace with others in the class and the teacher’s job is to see that they do that.
Thirdly, in a Montessori Walnut, CA, school, a lesson will be taught until a child or the children have mastered or understood. The teachers will not stop for schedule break if the need comes. That way the children can learn better. But in a traditional school, the schedule is strictly maintained. Lessons will be stopped even midway if the time is over.
Preschool is the first time your child will be in a learning environment. How he/she experiences it will affect his/her future life. So be very diligent while choosing what kind of learning environment you want your child to experience in his/her first preschool.

Why Adequate Sleep Is Necessary for Children
Tumblr media
All children’s hospital in the United States of America talks about the importance of sleep. It is an essential part of everyone’s routine and an indispensable part of a healthy lifestyle. Most of the caregivers in different Daycare centers observe that kids who regularly get an adequate amount of sleep have improved attention, behavior, learning, memory, and overall mental and physical health. Inadequate sleep can lead to high blood pressure, obesity, and even depression in a child.
A visiting child physician in a primary school in West Covina, CA tells that sleep is more important than you may think. The average kids spend a busy day preparing their lesson both in school and home, taking care of their pets, taking part in extracurricular activities, and many more things. By the end of the day, their body needs a break. Sleep is the best possible solution that lets the body get full rest for the next day. During sleep, the brain sorts through and stores information replaces chemicals, and even solves problems.
You cannot fix a recommended amount of sleep a child should get because it varies according to age. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends different amounts of sleep times for children of different ages. Moreover, not every kid is the same in nature, and neither is their lifestyle is same. So, some kids need more sleep than others. But, it is unfortunate to say that nowadays in the modern lifestyle most kids do not get enough sleep. Inadequate sleep makes kids moody, tired, and cranky. School works that should be very normal to them may feel impossible and they do not find any interest in taking parts even in their favorite games and activities.
Some kids are tough to get to sleep. A Daycare caregiver in West Covina, CA gives parents some easy tips to bring a quick and deep sleep for the children. According to her dim the light of the room where children sleep and make it noise-free as much as possible. It helps a lot to make children asleep. Do not allow your children to use electronic gadgets like cell phones, laptops, or desktops at least an hour before going to bed. Surfing on an electronic screen creates excitement in their brain. Listening to bedtime storybooks or soft music helps a lot to bring a good night’s sleep among children. A warm bath just before going to bed helps a lot to bring sound sleep. If your child wakes up during the night, walk them back to their room with as little commotion as possible. Set a wake time for when the child is allowed to leave his or her room. The child can play quietly until that desired time.
Benefits of sleep in children:
The child becomes physically strong. Sleep boosts physical and mental growth. Children become more attentive in their studies after having enough sleep. Sound sleep helps to recharge his or her immune system.
Despite taking all necessary care if your child suffers from a lack of sleep do not hesitate to visit your pediatrician.

Most common threats kids face while using the internet
Due to the coronavirus outbreak, now most of the kids are attending online classes to keep their learning going on. Nowadays, kids are among the most active internet users and are unfortunately subject to several threads. So, it is important to know what threats they may face online to deal with them accordingly. Child care West Covina, CA is sharing some of the most common threats children face online.
Inappropriate content:
The internet is full of contents which are not appropriate for children. There are many parents control software available in the market which you can install in your system and easily block those websites you don't want your kids to browse. Other than this, you can use a child-friendly browser that automatically blocks websites that are unsuitable for children.
Chat room 'friends':
Chat rooms not safe for young children as some predators enter chat rooms and befriend kids by pretending to be of their age and usually try to convince them to meet up at some point. Educate your kids to interact online only with those people they know personally, like friends and relatives, and not meeting any online friend.
Cyberbullying:
Cyberbullying through social media sites is, unfortunately, a prevalent issue in today's world and can cause as much harm as any other form of bullying. Make them understand that they are not supposed to create social media profiles unless and until they are old enough.
Online scams:
While older adults are often thought of as main targets of online scams, children are very vulnerable to them as well. The most common online scams include the emails claiming, you have won a luxury car or a huge amount of money. In Childcare West Covina, CA caregivers teach children about the signs of online scams. Kids should also not purchase anything from online stores or provide any personal information without their parents' permission.
You need to remember that as parents you are responsible to control how much time your kids will spend online. Besides attending the online classes, engage themselves in some physical activities or reading books to keep them happy and healthy.
