Oil ministry wants PSUs to build 50,000 houses for renting to migrant workers.

The petroleum ministry wants the Public sector undertakings to construct houses for the migrant workers. These houses are for the migrant workers as they can rent the house for low rent. This is the Oil Ministry scheme to build affordable houses for rent for the workers. Millions of labourers went away from the city during the Coronavirus pandemic. This plan will benefit the workers because they can come back to live and work in the cities again. Oil Minister Dharmendra Pradhan wanted the public sector undertakings to offer their ideas for the housing construction. The workers employed on the projects live in temporary houses on the work location so it will be hard for them to move in rented houses. So these are some of the issues the officials are facing.
