i think it's stupid as fuck that spotify lets you skip or play playlists or songs in whatever fucking order you want on a computer without being FORCED to shuffle (even when you play an individual song) but on mobile you're just fucking penalised for even trying to listen to 1 song. and instead of hearing that 1 song you just get sent into a bullshit shuffle and not even That Song You Just Want To Play

apparently my freebooted spotify app/desktop decided i am not actually in netherlands so i can't access it.

well. deleting the acc and will try again in 7 days.

thing with using a somewhat-custom proxy... you don't particularly get a similar ip every time. so the region-locking shits keep acting up. and i created the acc on the free vpn which worked better with that setting, but my proxy doesn't give me a choice.

in general: fuck my life, this is an another addition to a horrible miserable day i am already having, i will find a way to scam you out of a premium account because you gave me no choice otherwise for your service <3

While this post indicates they will not delete youtube content/accounts with content on youtube the policy writing is still dubious in this regard.

If you have any youtube videos you enjoy and regurlary look at, be it content or music recordings you can't find anywhere else, please download them. If you have access to any documents, exels, notes, google drives.... from someone please download and back them up in your computer. (Also do that with any of your own content in those platforms, this policy will affect it one day).

Internet content no loger is forever and so it's important that we individually become archivist for it, specially when already existing archiving efforts are under attack.

doing this with anything is an awful hit, but god, there are so many youtube accounts that serve as the last existing records of so many dead people's voices. feels especially perverse
