Author Moot is a brand new blog written by me, the Owl. 

I’m an editor who writes, and I’m here to share some morsels with you on the craft of writing, and of navigating the publishing industry - because in case you haven't noticed it’s a fucking minefield out there. 

I’ll be posting about the time I worked for a predatory publishing company for a year and couldn’t leave. I’ll tell you what hybrid publishing really is and how predatory publishers are exploiting authors who’ve never heard of it.
