“Now that right there is a Warlock’s sparrow, if I’ve ever seen one.”

“How can you tell? There a Praxic Fire bumper sticker or something?”

“No, it’s the dings. Well, that and the style. Warlocks seem to like this chassis, and that crosshatch may as well say ‘My other ride is a nova bomb’ or something like that.”

“What about the dings, though?”

“Right, it’s the dings. See, Warlocks are always in a hurry to get someplace when they hear about some new weirdness to study or examine or take samples from, and I see ‘em handling their sparrows with more than the usual degree of carelessness—especially when dismounting. They just jump off, every damn time, almost don’t even bother cutting the throttle. So the sparrow goes for a slide, rolls, bumps into rocks, whatever—and you get the telltale dings.”

“That doesn’t really sound like a Warlock thing, though. I mean, I know this one Titan with a habit of slammer her fist down onto her moving sparrow to sort of force it to skid on the ground for extra braking when she drifts—”

“Yeah we all know Shruggernaut does that, you can stop bragging about hanging out together...”

“—and in my Hunter den I’m the only one whose sparrow hasn’t blown up at least once this week. So... even if this model is popular with the Warlocks, can you really be sure it belongs to one just because it’s more dinged up?”

“OK, well, also it does have a Praxic Fire bumper sticker on the rear stabilizer there, so...”

“Wait, they actually have bumper stickers?”
