Actually, let me say that each country is going to have different popular job posting websites, and you don't have to use the most popular one. Nofluffjobs is where I had most success (and up front salery ranges help a lot). Look for places that makes applying easy. Apply as much as you can, heck, bot if you must. For entry level job, I did not care about years of experience requirement, and same if there was a word "junior". Half of the time, they don't really care. Heck, the two jobs I had in my short work history where not what I applied for. Same kind of job but different technologies. This is why I don't care what they say in the advert, it seems they don't mean half of what they say. This means applying to anything even somewhat related to your skills is a valid stretegy. With linkedIns easy apply or similar system each application should take you less then a minute. Send like 8~20 a day. It might still a while. My local website (pracuj.pl) has a habit of employer reviewing application only when the posting expires, so usually about a month after you apply.
If you are applying in a country that is not primarily english speak, make resume with two pages. English and local language, and send that shit. It's faster then checking what language the rectuter expects and serves as proof you know at least a bit of the language
Now, when you get a call back. Check the company on glass door or whatever is your local equivalent. Better yet, check them in two places. Apply for a job is hardly a commitment and you can retract your intrast with no issues. I had jobs offer to schedule an interview the next day, but the next day possision was already filed. There are many applicants, but there are many postings also.
Most importantly, just because you got a job, doesn't mean you should stop applying. You can reduce a volume but, it best to keep in mind possibly of better offers. Especially when you get your second/third or fifth year of experience. Those landmarks open a lot of doors. Heck, big tech follows boom and bust model with stock market so lay offs are expected pirodically, followed by mass hierings. If you work for them, plan your finances according. At least tech sector is good at keeping pay instep with inflation. Anywhere else? Your best hope is change of company. New employees get market rate (most of the time) while old are often stuck at the same salary until they quit.
On a personal note. I spend 2 months looking for my first job. It was crapy, and they didn't want to renew my contract because I fallen ill. Well, the day after I left and I successfully interview for a job that I wanted more, offers better benefits and play nearly twice as much. The job market is crapy, but you can get lucky and will with enough time. We still need collective action (especially in the US), but sutesion is no yet hopeless yet. They want to play thier games, but you got your own to play.
