watched evil dead 1981 for the first time last night! ouch!
#wowj like being able to see their stupid relationships and banter was eye-OPENING#i actually loved shelly she seems to be forgotten amongst the five of them but i luv her#she also had imo the grossest death (i had to skip multiple parts of it!)#yeah yeah seeing ash's actual personality before having to put up a bunch of walls of bravado was a HUGE ouch#cause he seemed like such a sweet guyyyyy#getting his girlfriend a stupid looking necklace and the silly game where he pretends he's asleep???? HELLLO???#and ellen did a FANTASTIC job at portraying cheryl in the short screen-time she had as her pre-deadite#THE SCENE WITH HER AND ASH DRIVING TO THE BRIDGE HURT SO MUCHHHH#as an older sibling with a younger sister.. cheryl and ash's whole storyline hurts a lot a lot#practical effects were AMAZINNGGGG#despite me having to cover my eyes and skip a good chunk of them LMAO#stupid knowby unleashing evil the five of them could've had fun stupid lives but nooooooo#he had to read from the book of the dead instead#pls pls pls if you want to talk abt evil dead with me pls pls pls do i need other people to ramble to abt this
