“Bubbles is so sweet in Powerpuff Girls Z! She's so sassy, but she's also sweet and funny. She's good with animals and kids, and she's a lot smarter than she seems!”

“I think part of the reason why people disliked PPGZ is due to the drastic character changes to fit Japanese stereotypes, which I can understand because if it was the other way around (most American dubs for kids drastically change the characters in anime to fit American stereotypes) then people would be complaining nonstop. I don't mind Blossom being the typical ditzy pink leader archetype as long as her original personality can still be intact too. Maybe getting character development about not being so uptight, have fun, be a teenage girl, let loose or something? The same goes for Bubbles. There's nothing wrong with being a confident girl, as long as that was her character development and not a drastic character change. I think Buttercup is the only change that I actually was ok with because OG Buttercup was already tomboyish. Heck, she even gets character development through the series and shows the second PPGZ ending on how to be more girlish, carefree and have fun with the other girls.
For me, the problem isn’t that they’ve changed their personalities upright, as long as they’ve gotten development or depth outside of those anime/Japanese archetypes. It’s not because they’ve changed them at all. They should have their standalone characters while still staying true to their American counterparts imo.”
