This is the “ask PPPP” ask blog. PPPP is a CCCC au created by @theapollospectrohelioscopic, aka Apollo, who is also the mod for this ask blog.

Now, what does PPPP mean you may ask? PPPP is short for “Powder’s Precarious Pain Précis”.

Another name for the au is DAS/SAD [Fun fact, Apollo only realised the character initials could spell out “SAD” after having named them]. More names may be created in the future.

If this au [Somehow] is liked enough to start receiving fan names [Doubt it] then said fan names may be listed here as well [With permission and credit of course].

In this au, uh, well, actually, no lore exists at the time of writing this, Apollo is kind of planning on making up lore when necessary, though some pieces of lore may be created due to Apollo thinking of something and then being like “Wait that could be part of the lore!” But uh, dust is this au’s Heart, ASH is this au’s Mind, SnoW is this au’s Soul, and Powder is this au’s Whole. Yes, with those specific capitalisations. Though, it probably won’t matter if you get the capitalisations wrong.

There are also equivalents for Darrell and Li in this au. This au’s Li equivalent goes by both Cinder and Ember, however the name Ember will be used more often. This au’s Darrell equivalent is named Angel {Snow angels}, and is a bunny (Dust bunnies) instead of a chicken.

If anyone comes up with extra names for the character then they may be added here [With permission and credit of course].

Asks with SnoW will have this tag: “{A gentle snow lands on the ground}” [Apollo isn’t satisfied with this, but it is the best they could think of]

Asks with Powder will have this tag: “Powder answers an ask” [Look, Apollo couldn’t think of anything]

Asks with Ember will have one of two tags: “Ring around the rosy : ]” or “A pocket full of posies : )”

Asks with Angel will have this tag: “*Bunny noises*”

Stuff with OOC in it will have this tag: “Apollo says hi”

dust uses she/they pronouns.

ASH is fine with any pronouns, but prefers she/it/they/he, STEM [Science Technology Engineering and Maths] themed neopronouns, prince or knight themed neopronouns [If those even exist], and sun themed neopronouns. [Can you tell that Apollo isn’t really an expert on neopronouns?]

SnoW uses she/they/he pronouns.

Powder uses she/he/they pronouns but honestly doesn’t really care.

Ember is fine with any pronouns, but prefers she/they/it; death, destruction, and chaos themed neopronouns; and fire themed neopronouns. [Again, Apollo really doesn’t know much about neopronouns]

Angel is a bunny and does not know what pronouns are, and so does not care which pronouns it is referred to by.

Apollo [Geez it feels weird talking in third person] doesn’t have any designs drawn out for the characters, so descriptions are the best you are getting.

No design descriptions exist at the time of writing this for: dust, SnoW, Powder, and Ember, as Apollo doesn’t have designs for them.

Angel is a grey-ish [Ash coloured] bunny, and that’s about it for Angel’s design description, as Apollo does not have that wide a range of knowledge about bunnies.

ASH is relatively tall, has somewhat curly chin-length dark grey-ish blue hair [Though sometimes ASH will let it grow longer, and when she does, it is a gradient that starts with said dark grey-ish blue at the roots and ends with a much lighter and much greyer but still somewhat blue at the ends], wears an outfit that looks like some sort of mix between a prince and a knight [Apollo has a very clear image in their head of how it looks but does not know how to describe it in the slightest], wears a grey-ish blue crown, has robotic arms, has hair covering her left eye, has light grey-ish blue eyes, wears platform boots, wears sun earrings, and wears white gloves. She has a colour aesthetic of grey-ish blues.

dust’s colour association is light grey-ish purple.

ASH’s colour association is medium dark grey-ish blue.

SnoW’s colour association is medium light grey-ish red.

Powder’s colour association is medium grey-ish orange.

Ember’s colour association is dark grey-ish pink.

Angel does not have a colour association, but green will be used for clarity [And so that Apollo can do more colour coding].

An attempt will be made to answer all asks, so long as they do not:

Have anything NSFW [Flirting with the characters [OTHER THAN Angel] is fine though].

Ship [In a more than platonic way] any of the characters [With the exception of ones that ship Powder and Ember, Apollo doesn’t mind those two being shipped with each other. Just, don’t ship dust, ASH, SnoW, or Angel. dust, ASH, and SnoW are siblings, and Angel is a bunny].

Have anything offensive in them.

Probably some other stuff but Apollo cannot think of it at the moment.

[Because I have found four other ask blogs that are all related to CCCC or CCCC aus, and I decided that the best way to do research about ask blogs was for us to have one of our own.]

[Greeting. Call me ASH. Yes, that ASH, the one from Powder’s Precarious Pain Précis. I decided to make a blog of my own instead of just having the ask blog, as on the ask blog I am primarily limited to responding to asks, plus, dust and SnoW can see what I say there. They probably wouldn’t look at what I say, but in theory they could.]

[I am currently conducting research on different CCCC related universes. I decided to start this research after encountering four different CCCC ask blogs. Whilst the ones I have found do not describe themselves as AUs, they, by definition, are AUs, due to the fact that they are not part of the original CCCC universe. They may come from universes that have low degrees of separation from the main CCCC universe, or may even be set in identical copies of the main CCCC universe, however, as far as I can tell, none of them are truly in the main CCCC universe. Now, I clearly am not from from one of these main CCCC universe resemblant AUs, after all, the AU I am from is quite clearly an AU, it even describes itself as one, however, I do feel as though having a blog of my own could help with my research.]

[You’ve probably already guessed, but I’m my universe’s… Hmmm… I’m not quite sure what the correct term is. Let’s go with equivalent. I’m my universe’s equivalent to Mind, essentially, I’m the one who fills his role. Of course, the two of us are very different, but we fill the same role in our respective universes. That role would be “The logical side.”]

[Currently, aside from my own AU, the only AUs I am aware of are the 4c-heliosjunoatlas, cccc-ask-blog, ask-cccc, and cccc-ask AUs. If anyone would like to inform me of any others then please do.]

[I quite like STEM topics, however on occasion I will permit myself to take breaks from my work and my research. In that free time I enjoy singing, quietly of course; drawing, though I’m not particularly good at it; some games, especially rhythm games and games with character creators; and watching multi-hour long YouTube iceberg videos about topics I have never heard of. Oh, and I occasionally sleep, drink water, or eat a small snack.]

(that punctuation there is weird but i put the exclamation mark to separate it from the actual name. sorry fellow grammar people) ASH is the AU's Mind equivalent. I started doodling this a few days ago. I don't have the other characters because they don't have a description yet. Except for Angel. Anyways, the style is based off ouji, which i thought fit the formal tone I thought would fit. The shading and anatomy and everything i did was weird. Based the sword (i cannot draw weapons too well unfortunately, wish i could have done better and made it specifically a rapier) off one ask someone else did on preferred weapons. So ASH was the first one I named, and it comes from my online initials [My full online name being Apollo Spectro Helio]. That’s actually why it is in all caps. It actually wasn’t originally intended to be a cccc au character, it was just a nickname for an anonymous ask. I don’t remember if it being an au came before naming dust or if dust coming into existence was what made me make it into an au character.

dust came from the fact that later that same day I was listening to a song that had the lyrics “Ashes ashes, dust to dust” and so I thought “Well then, looks like dust is the perfect name for the counterpart to ASH”. The all lowercase is to contrast ASH’s all caps.

SnoW comes from the fact that the next day I still hadn’t come up with a name for the au’s version of Soul, but then I was watching a video where the word snow was said and I was like “Perfect!”. The weird capitalisation is a mix of ASH’s all caps and dust’s no caps.

So, I actually didn’t really put that much thought into it, sorry if this answer is disappointing. I honestly put more thought into the other names, well, other than Powder, Powder’s name just kind of made sense to me. Well, and for Angel it is kind of just because of snow angels.

But for Ember/Cinder? I wanted a name that had to do with death and destruction, and ember and cinder are two words related to fire, and fire destroys things. Why did I want her to have a name that has to do death and destruction? Because I for some reason got reminded that the children’s song “Ring around the rosy” has the words “ashes ashes” in it, and the song can be interpreted as being about the bubonic plague, which caused a lot of death, which made me want one of the characters to have a death themed name.

Yeah the thought process behind the names [probably] makes absolutely no sense.

Preferred weapons?

[Well personally I'd rather not use a weapon at all. Not getting into a fight in the first place is the most effective strategy for how not to get hurt in a fight. Sometimes though, you can't just avoid the fight. When dust attacks me I tend to attempt to just use defence. I've learned that, in my case, trying to use offence will just result in me getting even more injured, and so I have given up. What is the point in attacking back if it just results in more injury? However, if I were to pick a weapon, I'd say that my favourite would probably be either the crossbow or the sword. In the case of the sword, specifically the rapier, as I personally am inclined to say that it looks intriguing. Though, I suppose if I were to choose based on practicality-]
