- Poussey Washington who started drinking again when she felt she lost all her friends.
- Poussey Washington who regardless, stood her ground. Despite her friends all turning against her, being beat and torn down by all of them. Poussey Washington who felt her only friend right now, was y/n.
- Poussey Washington who hadn’t gone a day without drinking in weeks.
- Poussey Washington who drunkenly destroyed Vee’s tobacco stash, and ran to y/n not knowing what to do. She just wanted her friends back.
- Poussey Washington whose first concern in the storm was her books in the library.
- Poussey Washington who fought to get her friends back.

—ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK | MURDER
Orange Is the New Black x Reserved, Sweet Reader (Who Secretly Murdered Her Husband)
---
You didn’t belong here. At least, that’s what everyone assumed when you arrived at Litchfield.
Quiet. Sweet. The kind of girl who said “please” and “thank you” and never raised her voice. The kind of girl people ignored until they needed a favor—someone to take over their shift in the laundry room, someone to listen to their problems without interrupting.
The kind of girl who wouldn’t, in a million years, be capable of murder.
That’s what they all thought, anyway.
Piper was the first to take an interest in you. “You remind me of someone I used to know,” she said with a small smile, leaning against the table in the cafeteria. “Super sweet, soft-spoken. I take it prison isn’t really your thing?”
You just smiled. You were good at that.
People liked to project onto you, filling in the blanks with their own assumptions. Poor thing, wrong place at the wrong time. Must’ve had a terrible lawyer. There’s no way she meant to kill him. You never corrected them.
Red took you under her wing after a week. “You’re too polite for your own good,” she told you as she handed you a ladle in the kitchen. “The girls will eat you alive if you let them.”
You knew that already. But you also knew how to survive. You weren’t naive, even if you looked like it.
Suzanne adored you. “You have kind eyes,” she told you one day, resting her head against your shoulder during rec time. “Not like the others.”
You just hummed, rubbing small circles into her back. You had kind hands, too. Gentle. The same hands that once wrapped around your husband’s throat while he stared at you in shock, his grip on your wrist weakening.
It had been so easy.
“See?” Taystee told Poussey one day, nodding toward you. “That’s how you do time. Stay quiet, stay out of people’s business, and no one fucks with you.”
You almost laughed. If only they knew.
Alex caught on the fastest.
She sat across from you in the library, pushing her glasses up her nose as she studied you. “I’ve been watching you,” she said casually. “Something doesn’t add up.”
You tilted your head, all innocent curiosity. “Oh?”
“You don’t react like someone who doesn’t belong here,” Alex said. “You’re too calm. Too… comfortable.”
You just smiled, closing your book. “Would it matter if I did belong here?”
Alex smirked, leaning in slightly. “I think I’d like you even more.”
You let her think she was in control, that she was the one figuring you out. That’s how you had always survived—letting people believe what they wanted to believe.
Because at the end of the day, it didn’t matter if they thought you were too sweet, too kind, too quiet to have done what they said you did.
You knew the truth.
And you could live with that.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The kitchen was the one place in Litchfield where you had some control.
You had grown up in the South, where food was love, survival, and the closest thing to freedom. Your mama taught you how to cook before you could even reach the stove, and it showed. Your biscuits were fluffy, your gravy was rich, and your fried chicken—on the rare days the kitchen got something halfway decent—was the stuff of legend.
So when word got out that you were quitting the kitchen, chaos erupted.
“Nah, no way,” Taystee said, shaking her head. “Ain’t no way Y/N leavin’. She’s the only reason breakfast is edible!”
“You hear why, though?” Cindy leaned in, lowering her voice like she was spreading government secrets. “She’s turning to God. Tryna find faith or somethin’.”
Silence. Then laughter.
Suzanne, sitting cross-legged on the top bunk, frowned. “Y/N doesn’t seem like the God-finding type.”
“Exactly!” Flaca threw up her hands. “That girl ain’t said grace once in her life! I swear, this has to be some kind of setup.”
Maritza gasped dramatically. “What if it’s Red? What if she’s forcing Y/N out so she can take over again?”
Piper snorted. “Red likes her too much for that. If anything, she’d make her second-in-command.”
Meanwhile, you sat in the library, minding your business. You had no idea the rumors were spiraling out of control until Alex dropped into the chair across from you, arms crossed.
“So,” she drawled, raising a brow. “You’re quitting the kitchen to find Jesus?”
You blinked. “What?”
“That’s the word on the block.”
You sighed, rubbing your temple. “I’m an atheist.”
“I know.” Alex smirked. “But the rest of these idiots don’t.”
The rumor spread so fast that even Red confronted you. “You better not be leaving my kitchen,” she warned, pointing a ladle at you. “Not unless God himself is coming down to drag you out.”
You sighed. “I never said I was quitting.”
“Then where the hell did the rumor come from?”
You had no idea. But at that point, it didn’t even matter.
You weren’t quitting. You weren’t turning to God. And you sure as hell weren’t going to let Litchfield go back to serving dry-ass cornbread and watery eggs just because someone got bored and started a rumor.
At lunch, the girls hovered, waiting to see what would happen. When you stepped behind the counter, putting a heaping spoonful of mashed potatoes on Cindy’s tray, the tension snapped.
“Oh, thank God,” Cindy groaned. “I almost had a damn heart attack.”
“You’re welcome,” you said dryly.
It was the closest you’d ever get to a religious experience.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You didn’t talk about your past much, but word got around fast in Litchfield.
You used to be a lawyer. A damn good one, too.
At first, no one really believed it. You were too quiet, too reserved—didn’t have that slick, fast-talking, cutthroat energy people expected from a defense attorney. But then Taystee casually mentioned that you explained some legal loophole to her in the yard, and suddenly, every girl in Litchfield wanted a piece of you.
“Yo, Y/N.” Black Cindy slid into the seat next to you at lunch, grinning. “Hypothetically, if a girl was in here for some bullshit charge and wanted to get it overturned, what’s her move?”
You barely looked up from your food. “That depends. What’s the charge?”
Cindy immediately perked up. “Oh, so you do legal consults? Cool, cool. Lemme just—” She slid a honey bun across the table.
You stared at it. Then at her.
“What,” she said innocently. “Ain’t no one work for free, right?”
And that’s how it started.
Within a week, you were getting traded more commissary than you knew what to do with. Snacks, extra blankets, real coffee—hell, someone even managed to get you a brand-new pair of sneakers.
You weren’t running a law office, exactly. But you did help some of the girls look into their appeals, draft letters, and figure out how badly their public defenders had screwed them.
Piper called it “the smartest hustle in Litchfield.”
Alex just smirked. “You sure you didn’t kill your husband just to get in here and start a business?”
You rolled your eyes. “Yeah, because prison is so much better than my old life.”
“Hey, for some of these girls, it kind of is.”
You couldn’t argue with that.
Red eventually pulled you aside in the kitchen. “I respect what you’re doing,” she said, stirring a pot of soup. “But be careful. The more useful you are, the more people will want a piece of you.”
You knew that already. You’d played the game before. The difference was, in here, there was no walking away.
But as long as the trades kept coming, as long as you had something to offer, you weren’t just another inmate. You were valuable. Protected.
And in Litchfield, that was worth more than anything.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sophia’s salon was always busy.
Even with commissary running dry, she still worked magic with what little she had. She was the only person in Litchfield you could trust with your hair—if you were lucky enough to get an appointment.
You had never met her before, but you knew her by reputation. Charismatic, stylish, and no-nonsense. If you came to her, you better have something worth her time.
You stepped into the makeshift salon, clutching the bottle of foundation you had been traded. It was way too dark for you—not that you wore face makeup anyway. But makeup was rare in here, and you figured it had to be worth something.
Sophia glanced up from the girl she was braiding, her perfectly arched brows raising. “And what can I do for you, Miss Shy?”
You hesitated for a second. “I, uh… I was wondering if I could trade this for a hair appointment.” You held up the foundation. “I heard commissary’s been out for months.”
Sophia’s eyes flicked to the bottle, then back to you. She studied your curls—loose, frizzy from the lack of proper products, but still pretty.
She hummed. “Lemme see that.”
You handed it over, watching as she turned it in her hands. She sighed dramatically. “Girl, this is rich,” she said, shaking her head. “You know somebody scammed you, right?”
You blinked. “I got it in a trade.”
“Well, whoever gave it to you must’ve been real desperate, because this is the wrong shade for you.” She smirked, giving you a knowing look. “Let me guess—Flaca?”
You flushed. “…Maybe.”
Sophia laughed, setting the bottle down. “Alright, alright. Since this is our first time meeting, I’ll make you a deal. You let me fix this—” She gestured at your hair. “—and I’ll take this off your hands.”
Your shoulders relaxed. “Deal.”
Sophia patted the chair. “Come on, sweetheart. Let’s get you lookin’ right.”
You sat down, and for the first time since arriving at Litchfield, you let someone take care of you.

I love you so | Poussey Washington x Nyomi Anderson (OC)
| This is chapter two on my series, please make sure to read the official OITNB warnings before proceeding with this series!
MASTERLIST FOR THIS SERIES!
CHAPTERS:
0, 1, 2
The next day, Nyomi found herself meeting her councillor - who told her there won't be any job opportunities for the next two weeks, so to hang tight and find something to do that will occupy her time, which is exactly what she was doing as she made her way down to the library.
Now, Nyomi did struggle to read, preferring books with pictures than books with words - but she did like the atmosphere of a library, and what better chance to learn a new skill than a few years locked up.
Entering the Library, she found it empty, assuming that was because most people were still finishing up breakfast, spending as much time there before being sent to work. Thankful, Nyomi took a seat at a circle table, folding her arms and laying her head in them. She didn't plan to stay here long, just until work assignments began and then she'd find something else to do, perhaps she'll take a chance to get to know the place, or have a shower without prying eyes.
So, when the doors to the library opened once again, Nyomi jolted up, no longer lying down as she turned to whoever had just entered the room. To her surprise, though, it was Poussey, a girl she recognised from dinner last night.
"What you doin' in here?" She asked, strolling into the room carrying a few pieces of plastic and two books, "didn't see you down breakfast."
Nyomi shrugged, "wasn't feeling it."
Poussey nodded in understanding, placing the things she brought with her on the table before grabbing the plastic trolley and rolling it towards where she was stood. Nyomi watched curiously as she stacked the books she brought in up, leaving the plastic behind.
"What's that?" Nyomi asked, pointing to the two pieces on the table.
Poussey shrugged, "A pee funnel, stopping me from touching them nasty-ass toilets."
Nyoni nodded, smiling, "that's clever," she praised.
"You think?" Poussey asked, smiling at the girl as she played with the two parts in her hand.
"Yeah," Nyomi replied, before laying back down on the table.
"You tired?" Poussey asked, "want me to wake you for lunch?"
"No tired," Nyomi replied, "bored as hell, though."
"Girl..." Poussey started, before dumping several books infront of the new girl, "help me stack these up then."
The pair - Poussey and Nyomi - spent the stacking and organising books, uninterrupted because Taystee was spending time with her "mom", a woman who arrived just before Nyomi called Vee. Usually, Taystee helps Poussey out in the library, so the girl was thankful for the extra help.
That was until lunch rolled around, the speaker announcing it caused them both to stop and make their way to the hall, Poussey first and Nyomi following shortly behind.
Nyomi sat beside Janae again,  not feeling too hungry so only playing with her chocolate pudding and leaving the rest up for grabs, which was happily taken by Cindy before she chose to leave and go back to her dorm with the three old ladies. Her councillor mentioned that morning she should be moved today, so that was something for her to look forward too.
Once she got there, it was only her in the room, sitting on the bunk and waiting for one of the CO's to come and find her and let her know where she'd be moving.
•••
After dinner, Nyomi found herself in the ghetto, in a bunk by herself until another woman found her way to prison. So, she made her bed, placed her things in her storage box, and made it pretty by leaving her new grey sweater and beige khaki top hanging up on her hooks.
She was glad she had moved, because that meant she received her true inmate ID card and could now start to figure out think's like the phone and commissary. Luckily, being the only inmate who came in her group, Healey said things were moving quicker for her, so she couldn't imagine coming to prison in a larger group.
It was also much easier to sleep in a cube cell, not being stuck in dead silence - the occasional creak of a bed and moving of fabric reminded the girl that other people were around her, weirdly, that comforted her. That night, Nyomi got the best sleep she had slept in months.
•••
The next morning, the block was awoken by a CO walking down the isle of the block, repeatedly announcing it was time to get up, followed by Suzanne who seemed to act as a parrot for the block - up and ready for her shower within seconds of the CO entering.
Nyomi felt that she had to give her credit for her passion, though, as she did struggle to wake this morning, choosing to remain in her white tank top and grey sweatpants and simply grabbed her towel, wash items and DIY shower shoes and made her way to the showers before everyone else.
Now, it wasn't that she felt insecure. Nyomi isn't an insecure woman - in fact, she thinks she has a pretty face and good body. However, only knowing the women two days, didn't yet give her the confidence to flaunt that, and she'd rather suffer early in the morning, alone, than in front of others.
So, when she entered the showers, apart from Suzanne, Nyomi was alone, the others only beginning to enter the room as she was brushing her teeth in the sinks.
Everyone was stood silent, the only sounds coming from showers and those brushing their teeth - that was until a commotion was heard outside the bathroom and a significant voice being louder than the others as she entered.
"All right, listen up!" She began, walking into the room with a gaggle of spanish women following behind her, "we got plumbing issues in Spanish Harlem."
That's all Nyomi needed to hear before making her way out, already dressed in her khaki pants and grey hoodie and made her own way back to her new block.
Soon after, Nyomi was joined by Suzanne, who too, was dressed and decided to invite herself into Nyomi's space.
"Nyomi, Nyomi, Nyomi," Suzanne spoke, entering the cube and sitting on the metal bed frame opposite of the girl, "so, who are you?" She asked, tilting her head left and right.
Nyomi giggled slightly, shaking her head, "Nyomi Anderson," she continued chuckling, "and you are?"
"Suzanne Warren," the girl infront responded, nodding her head in... approval? "I'm just... Scouting the place out for enemies... You know?"
"No..." Nyomi replied hesitantly, "I don't know, sorry."
"Let's just say," Suzanne said, standing up and doing a spin before looking straight at Nyomi, "if you see any... suspicious activity in these premises... you let me know."
"I will, don't worry," Nyomi replied with a smile.
The girl must've deemed that enough, as she walked off to stalk around the cubes of the other girls who weren't in the block, as if she was inspecting them.

Week 3: Favorite WLW ships
15-week sapphic challenge
Canon:
Calliette (First Kill)
Tumblr media
Say whatever you want to say about First kill, but if you deny their chemistry, you are either lying or you lack taste. Even the trailer got me. I think they have the best or one of the best and passionate kissing and make-out scenes i’ve ever seen.
Wildmoore (Batwoman)
Tumblr media
I can’t even start on how amazing their chemistry is. They served a lot of tropes and their banters alone gave me a lot of feelings. The slow-burn was worth it and i think this is one of the most realistic ships in wlw media out there.
Sharmen (The L word)
Tumblr media
I don’t even like The L word in general and i know Shane is problematic, but can’t help but love this ship. Aside from the hot scenes, i love the angst and their cute little dates. Also, i love hurting myself. :)
Ayo x Aneka (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever)
Tumblr media
Spoiler alert: Very very few scenes, but those little scenes are cute and enough for them to be on my list. Give them a spin-off and they will be unstoppable.
Avatrice (Warrior nun)
Tumblr media
I haven’t seen the whole show yet (I’m still on S01E03), but seeing the stills and gifs on twitter, i already ship them. They’re cute and wholesome.
Non-canon:
Wheighton (TSLOCG)
Tumblr media
Future canon, i can feel it. And we need more than 1 fruity in a friend group, come on. I also love Alicia, but it’s rare for me to get attached with fast-burns. I think they’ll have an ideal ship dynamic. + Them being BFFs irl :’)
Darlentina (Darna, 2022)
Tumblr media
This is canon, our country is just homophobic. Best Filo wlw chemistry and deepest relationship dynamics. Just hoping the actresses will have an actual wlw project together soon, coz this show is trash.
Camille x Indigo (Betty)
Tumblr media
Almost canon before it got cancelled! Can’t describe the chemistry without spoiling, but check the show out. Girl-friend skater group with fruity majority.
Poussey x Taystee (OITNB)
Tumblr media
One-sided canon. They’re amazing as bestfriends too, but imagine if they were romantically canon? The power? Greatest and deepest love story on any media, bye.
Tegan x Michaela (HTGAWM)
Tumblr media
Queerbait-ish with all the teasing, but it’s fine coz Tegan x Annalise is also great, i just find TM cute with all the banters, angst, “jealousy”. And before you come to me, i know Michaela is toxic and the age gap is fine because they’re both grown adults. I just enjoy their dynamics.

if you had to pick your top 5 absolute favorite Brotp of all time, from tv shows, movies, books, whatever, what would they be? ^^
This is easier than the other ask I’m still thinking about ;)
1. Goblin and Reaper
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I simply love them on and off set, they’re actually the best brotp in the world. I’m maybe a little bit in love with them, lmfao
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
2. Taystee and Poussey
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I wasn’t going to post this because I’m still upset over what happened to Poussey and I really loved their friendship and seeing gifs of them just reminds me of how upset I am about her death.
3. Ari and E
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Entourage has SO MANY ISSUES, it is RIDDLED with issues that would take me days to actually breakdown and process but yes I do love it anyway and I love these two together especially because they also sort of hate each other.
4. Troy and Abed
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Because who doesn’t want a friend you can be absolutely ridiculous with? Like omg.
4. Christina and Meredith
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I overrelate to this friendship.
