Potn ch/// 50
I wonder if jihwa could go through with his plan. His dream a premonition of what would happen if nakyum were to be killed. Seungho would not be able to cope.

Revisiting the chapters again and I noticed this
I realized that whenever a character in PotN is undergoing major emotional issues, their clothes seem to stand out, kind of like a Joseon mood ring, but in clothes. I noticed Jihwa’s clothes here for the first time when I zoomed in

The bird pattern seems to be that of a crane, which is a usual symbol of nobility. It denotes holiness and spirituality, quite a stark contrast for what is going on through Jihwa’s mind being corrupted by Min after the suggestion for the assassination
And then looking back to ch45, we have this

Still the same animal, the crane, but it seems to be faded compared to Jihwa’s.
And then ch. 50 comes in:

I already posted an analysis about this particular pic before so I won’t be doing it again

And then on ch. 52, we have this:

It’s the same pattern as the one with the black robe, but only the colors are different. Imma focus on this one this time. So we all know blue is the color of inner peace, right. The deeper the shade, the more mysterious and masculine it is. But the pattern of yellows here screams cowardice to me. Yellow has long been a symbol of cheerfulness but at the same time it can also be linked to cowardice. In the previous chapter we have black and red--red for passion and happiness, while the surrounding black represents growing hatred
The blue robe may represent inner peace--Seungho has found his emotional calm, Na-Kyum, and a physical calm, which is tobacco and opium ( btw, say no to drugs, kids). But the glaring details of yellow representing cowardice seems to me that the colors of the patterns on the character’s clothes represent their hearts, and the color of their robes is their overall mood. It is the way they present themselves to the world
The cowardice in Seungho’s heart is growing while he has found inner peace at the same time. His cowardice stems from confronting his own feelings to Na-Kyum, he is scared shitless because holy fuck he can actually feel FEELINGS. It is his realization that he still hasn’t accepted, and tries to convey to his peers that he is still in control, hence the usual blue. But on the inside, he is a raging child who is scared of accepting that Na-Kyum is changing him for the better
Y’all better zoom in on the panels of their clothing next chapters (or even all the chapters) because their clothes really do explain their inner turmoil and the way they want to be viewed by society
