Equivalent Exchange Headcanons/Notes

tw: mentions of death and broken bones/injury, skip everything after ***** if you don't want to deal with that :]

some of these things are not quite spoilers but more. glimpses into the future of this au because i wanna talk about that but i gotta progress it to that point so this is a tidy compromise

- the second time tommy sees eret after the events of the final control room, eret looses their balance because they dont have a tail anymore and faceplants. despite tommy not being anywhere close by, his laughter is carried by the wind, much to erets embarrassment.

- later, when eret has fixed their relations with wilbur and tommy, he finds kinship in wilbur over having drastically changed size, both in having to adjust, as well as being able to understand what the other is experiencing currently.

- eret and wilbur are not the first exchange/swap to have happened on the server, and will not be the last.

- in this au, deals for exchanges can also be mutual! often thats how you get sizeshifters- there are a few notable exceptions though! sizeshifters dont necessarily have to make deals like that, but they still abide by the rule that their matter must have an equivalent exchange.

- also eret gets to meet ghostbur :]!!

- later on, tommy likes to hang around eret and spends time just. being around him. before the betrayal they would have been close, eret was the only other borrower in lmanberg and theres some things they just get.

- after dream is imprisoned, tommy just. chills in erets hair while they build and tommy just. talks. its like a free podcast!

- MUCH MUCH LATER, when eret and foolish meet up, eret is struck by the feeling of being small again (not quite as small as he was previously, but its a familiar feeling nonetheless) and he ends up spending more time with foolish because of it.

- i like to think in this au a difference between "canon" and "non-canon" deaths is that with canon deaths you retain some injury or effect from how you died, while with non-canon deaths your body just reverts to the last state you were in when you set your spawn.

- because of this, in the second comic [x] tommys ribs are broken, as he died due to fall damage ("Tommyinnit hit the ground too hard whilst trying to escape Dream") so in every panel hes in, you can see him holding onto his ribs :>
