Posterrorism: "Economical Terrorism" Poster Competition

The posters with a theme of "Economic Terrorism" was sent to global competition organized by Posterrorism organization. The jury of organization judged and chose 67 designers with 82 posters as finalists among 1398 entries. I was chosen as one of these finalists with 2 of my posters. Accepted posters were shown on exhibition in South Korea Namseoul University which was started on April 3rd. I'm honored and very happy! Did you know, that till now, over 12,000 people have died due to Maoism in India? The ongoing conflict has taken place over a vast territory (around half of India's 29 states) with hundreds of people being killed annually in clashes between the CPI-Maoists and the government every year since 2005. I remember when Odisha was vastly affected by Maoists and there were constant news about people dying everyday. Things have gotten better over the past few years but sadly, these things are not highlighted anywhere by the main media. There are two theories of intelligence, referred to simply as mindsets, that students can have about their intellectual abilities, although no one has purely one or the other, she said. Individuals with more of a fixed mindset believe that their intellectual abilities are simply fixed. They tend to approach learning with the goal of looking smart, and they often shy away from challenges because they believe that having to work hard at something or making mistakes means they don’t have high ability. Those with more of a growth mindset, on the other hand, believe that abilities can be developed—they are more likely to see effort as something that propels learning and to see setbacks as opportunities to build new skills. These divergent mindsets are also reflected in how individuals process mistakes on a neurological level. In a study of 25 undergraduate students, Jason S. Moser (Michigan State University) and colleagues tasked participants with rapidly identifying the center letter in a string of similar text (e.g. “M” vs. “N”) while monitoring activity of the anterior cingulate cortex (ACC) and related brain areas associated with cognitive control of behavior, via electroencephalography. The students also completed a scale designed to measure fixed and growth mindsets. Over the course of 480 trials, participants with growth mindsets demonstrated greater error positivity and greater electrical activity in the ACC and related brain regions associated with attending to mistakes compared with those with fixed mindsets. This boost in Pe was also associated with greater posterror accuracy, suggesting that these participants were processing errors more deeply, allowing them to make corrections immediately.

POSTERRORISM is an international poster competition against terrorism.

On October 25., 2017, 1:00 PM at the University Gallery (36.6 Section) will take place the opening ceremony of the International Poster Exhibition titled “Posterrorism”. Posters about and against terrorism.

International Poster Competition – Call for entries POSTERRORISM 2020 The secretariat of the global event has invited graphic artists around the world to attend the Event. Today, a wide range of political organizations use terrorism to advance their goals. From the left, right-wing groups, nationalists, religious groups, revolutionaries, and even the ruling states, they use this weapon. The goal of the competition is not just to select superiority, but a hope for find the best ideas for setting up international plans to counteract the horror of the world, with a lifestyle perspective on peace and peace for the world. We’re looking forward to such ideas and creative works in this event. It should be noted that this exhibition will be held in different countries. Subject : Against terrorism.
