#so my old computer has been slow af and bc it’s old windows 8(?) isn’t offering any more coverage for it which is like whatever i’d been#wanting to switch to linux. so i got myself a thumb drive and downloaded all my old files bc i want to make sure they stick around etc etc.#posterity and all that. downloaded linux mint on that Same thumb drive bc i didn’t realize that you’re not supposed to do that bc it makes#the other files irretrievable by WIPING THEMMMM and for some reason i can’t reformat the usb to try again and frankly. i’m afraid.#to make matters worse all the guides on how to install linux mint hinge on the boot menu which for some reason will NOT show up?! i need to#try more tbf but my computer is very slow rn and i know that restarting it too many times isn’t good for it so it’s like 🥹 im sorry….#ill work on it more later bc after all this i literally just need to get linux ON the thing so that i can say i did it. sunk cost or#whatever but I DON’T CARE. I HAVE TO DO IT SO I CAN PROVE TO MYSELF THAT I’M NOT THE LEAST TECH-SAVVY GEN Z-ER ON THE PLANET#j.txt
