hey ferry!! i noticed u don't talk much about yourself (that's completely understandable in your case) but you know opening up is not that bad.. and i'd really like to get a better grasp of the person behind the catchy tunes & the simply atmospheric artwork.. so here i go! 1. if you could live in any country, any time period, what would it be? 2. fave music? 3. a place that holds good memories for you? 4. fave piece of clothing? 5. fave genre of movies/video games? anyways ily!!
Oh hey, I didn’t expect to get a personal question, this is nice!
1. This is going to sound very basic, but 60s-80s America is just super appealing to me! And while I’m not a fan of communism or anything (I’m not one of those madlads who want the Soviet Union back that’s for sure), but there was something very hopeful and pure to the USSR in the 60s, too!
2. I know only like 2 people who have the same music taste as me not even because it’s super hipstery it’s just fuckinngnn shit
BUT. I listen to a lot of post-punk/shoegaze stuff. For some reason it became pretty popular in Russia/Ukraine/Belarus in recent years, so I listen to a lot of Russian bands in those genres! I also really like La Femme, which is a French psychodelic rock band. Död Mark have that super rough, agressive alternative sound that I absolutely love. Also electronic stuff that gets your blood pumping is my jam, the angrier the better! I don’t really have a favourite band, but Gorillaz is super nostalgic to me and their music never fails to give me that warm fuzzy feeling inside
3. My grandparents’ country house. I used to go there every summer and still do! I love almost everything about it - the road to get there, the house itself, the surrounding forest - it’s all very dear to me. Belarus is a flat country, so maybe the views aren’t much to write home about, but I still think it’s very beautiful!
4. This dumbass sweater

5. I don’t think I have a favourite film genre… I’m honestly not a huge movie person, but I’m legally obligated to watch them with my film nerd father
He did expose me to a lot of great stuff that I would never watch normally though (like Tarkovsky’s STALKER, which is probably my favourite movie of all time), and I’m really thankful to him for that! We also watched the Room together and it was one of the most surreal experiences in my entire life
I’m not a very epic gamer, but I did play almost every Sonic game there is and was way into Pokemon for a while! I also wasted a ton of time in TF2 and (not as much, but STILL) Overwatch. In general I used to be a lot more into gaming until recently, I especially don’t have much time to do it after starting Vocaloid… I would love to get back into it sometime though - and after breaking my Candy Crush addiction I think anything is possible!!
