here are my thoughts following the race. i have a lot to say, so just bear with me here. this is going to probably cover all 57 laps of what we all watched:

i cannot stand the commentary — i hate how they mentioned “we could get a lando vs. max showdown and that is something to salivate over” the wdc race is over. let’s focus on that story next year.

the british bias is something else

i don’t agree with any of the penalties that were handed out like candy on halloween

lando made me laugh when he said “ICAN’THEARYOUSPEAKLOUDER‼️” on the radio

max snitching on lando on the radio made me giggle

“that needs to be reported”

we all know i don’t like lando but he didn’t deserve that 35 second penalty. that was extremely harsh and even i agree that it was too much for what he did

i think lando was fair to complain about hamilton brake checking him. any of the drivers would have complained about the same thing

i don’t agree with hamilton’s penalty

poor lewis is so checked out. someone just put him out of his misery PLEASE

they need to replace that gravel next year (cause WOW LMFAO)

i hate all of the speculation as far as the red bull seat for 2025. checo may be in a slump but i feel like it’s not entirely his fault. there are clearly issues with the car.

Twitter Thread Pt 1: "Sam Kjellberg calming down the entire Red Bull garage like it’s no big deal 🏎️💥"

1. Video: Sam and Christian walking fast through the garage

The video starts with Christian Horner looking visibly stressed, pacing quickly through the Red Bull garage while Sam keeps up beside him, one hand in his pocket, other waving around as he was talking, looking calm as ever. You can hear Christian’s concern in his voice:

Christian: "But we haven’t even tested that, Sam. How can you be sure it’s going to work?"

Sam, completely unfazed: "Christian, I promise you, this will work. 100%. Just trust me. If I wasn’t sure, I wouldn’t have let it be installed in Max's car."

They reach a group of mechanics standing nervously by Max’s car. What they are saying can't be heard in the video anymore. Sam immediately steps up to the car, explaining the adjustments he made and showing them exactly what he did. The mechanics, at first tense, gradually start nodding and visibly relax as Sam goes into detail about the new feature.

Christian, still slightly worried, spots Max walking by and calls out to him: "Max, come here. Sam’s made some adjustments to the car. You should hear this."

Max just waves it off as he keeps walking to his driver's room, shouting back casually: "Nah, it's fine. I have to meet with Gemma. I trust Sam. He knows what he’s doing!"

The video ends with Sam giving a final confident nod to the mechanics, who seem way less anxious by the end.

No, but Butterfly comforting Carlos post-race and just letting him vent is just so cute. Imagine her waiting for him when he gets out of the car and then post debrief and just holding him and then her just threading her hands through his hair and helping him shower or preparing him a bath is such a cute thought.

He drove a perfect race. He did, despite the rain and the treacherousness of the track. He did everything right, and he still lost the win that should've been his.

Yes, Charles is angry, and with Pierre's nod, he lets it fill him, lets himself feel as red as his suit and his car.

i think the new director really has something to do with it :/

i don’t really agree with most of the commentary during the races but i do agree with one of the comments made that max somehow gets penalized for every little thing he does. they also made the comment there’s no consistency when it comes to handing out penalties.

i’m really hoping we don’t have to deal with all this in 2025 but they are changing some of the rules.

What the actual fuck is up with the new race director… first he pulls a grid penalty out of his ass for max and is now throwing out stop and go penalties left and right because he’s bored or something

that penalty for lando was ridiculous. same with the penalty for max.

i wonder if certain individuals had something to do with it—
