Not a hot take and there's a very high possibility people already said this but something I'll always repeat when i have the chance it's on how the Backrooms went from a real spooky place to something just...plain? I guess that's the best word I can use right now.

I mean, if you look at the starts of it it was scary, and it was scary as shit. The fact that you ended up alone, away from civilization and with no way to go back was the fuel for Backrooms being scary, and worse than that was the fear of not knowing.
