Just rambling because I want Misty to follow her dreams a little more before joining the E4 in my silly little universe ( I think I'd like her to join when she's older!)
The Elite Four. Itā€™s the natural next step for a Gym Leader, and Misty is no exception. After learning to love her role as a Gym leader, itā€™s everything she should want, and everything to strive for. But for Misty, itā€™s more than that. Being the scrawny kid who was nearly thrown out of a League meeting at 13 for loudly swearing when her Gym was under threat of closure only fuels her determination. Itā€™s not just a step forward. Itā€™s proof that she belongs in a world sheā€™s had to find her place in.
So she puts herself forward for it at a young age. At 15, sheā€™s ambitious, scrappy, and eager to prove her worth to the League, to her sisters, and, most of all, to herself.
And she fails.
Not for lack of skill. Mistyā€™s battled enough challengers to know her strength rivals the bestā€”but because sheā€™s just not ready. She doesnā€™t have a plan for leaving the Gym behind. She doesnā€™t have anyone trained to take her place. She doesnā€™t have the polish, the experience, or the confidence to stand on that stage. Not yet.
At 15, Misty simply isnā€™t cut out for it.
But this is Misty. And when her mind is set on something, she makes it happen.
So, at 19, she returns. This time, sheā€™s different. Stronger, wiser, more prepared after years of pouring everything into revamping her Gym. A modern arena thatā€™s as much a testament to her skill as her battles are. Her friends call her a workaholic. Sheā€™s not dense enough to disagree. Long nights training until her muscles ache. Early mornings reviewing strategies. Thereā€™s more chlorine in her hair than there is in the pool, and sheā€™s okay with that.Ā
Every sacrifice feels worth it.
And just like that, she passes. The Elite Four extends an invitation to her. It's an opportunity most would kill for. A chance to cement her as one of the best. The girl who fought tooth and nail to be taken seriously, who spent years clawing her way out from under the shadow her sisters left her in, has finally earned the recognition she deserves.
Misty has never been one to seek validation, at least not outwardly like this. Sheā€™s used to being overlooked, dismissed, underestimated. Sheā€™s lived her whole life convincing herself she doesnā€™t need anyoneā€™s approval, that she'll carve her own path. And she is.
So why does that initial pride, the satisfaction of passing ā€“only fight to survive against the strange discomfort that curls in her stomach? A voice, buried deep, a quiet ache she canā€™t ignore, gets louder. The Elite Four. The responsibility. The structure. The title.
Ā The permanence.Ā
Itā€™s an odd type of hollow, settling deep in her chest, one she isn't used to. Misty is, for the most part, happy in life. Content with what she's achieved, proud of her choices. But she floats in her pool, under a glass roof framed by stars and wonders why even now, she cannot reach them. A mental box, the one sheā€™s scribbled messily pass Elite Four on at 13, is finally ticked. Thereā€™s a career ahead of her. A title where she can shine, where no one could ever question her skill again.Ā
And yetā€¦ something is missing. Is it possible she's satisfied with just passing? With the knowledge she's done it? Is it possible that somehow, despite it all, she doesn't feel ready for what comes next now.
The TV flashes.
Her head turns at breakneck speed. She hasn't forgotten he's there, what this match means. She could never forget, but then she canā€™t look anywhere else. Misty finds herself unable to tear her eyes away from her childhood friend, standing on a stadium as spectacular as he is. Yellow Mouse by his feet, fighting for the World Champion title. She watches from the very spot, in the Gym, where he won that badge she always teased him over. The snot-nosed kid who didn't understand what a Pokemon Center was. The one who became her best friend for so long.
And suddenly, the memory is sharp and vivid. Like a thunder shock she hasn't felt in some time.
The dreams she had before responsibilities. Somewhere along the way they had morphed into something more realistic, more manageable. Life demanded it. They were pushed aside, buried beneath the weight of what she had to do instead of what she wanted to do. On those rare weekends sheā€™d set aside to search the Cerulean caverns or dive off the shores near Lavender Town, a work emergency would steal her time. Something more mundane would happen: a League report with an impossible deadline. A maintenance issue in the pool that couldnā€™t wait.
It isn't lost on her, how alive she'd felt in Alola. After, there were days sheā€™d look out over the water and feel the ache of itā€”the hollow, gnawing longing to just leave. To step outside the walls of her Gym, the borders of Cerulean City. To train with Water PokĆ©mon in their natural habitats instead of the confines of a battlefield.Ā
To chase the girl who swore, boldly and without hesitation, that she wouldnā€™t come home until she was a Water PokĆ©mon Master.
But the plans she made for herself would fall apart, just like they always did. The wetsuit would stay hanging in the back of her closet. And still, Misty made the most of it. She huffed at her sisters and whined to her friends, but she trained. She worked. She pushed herself to be the best version of who she could be.
And it hits her then, hard. Her, now, in her gym. Kanto's Top Gym leader. A sensational sister at last. The tomboy. The Mermaid. Everything, all together. This is the best version of herself within these walls.
Ash hugs Pikachu on screen, and Misty watches, her eyes wide as the roar of the crowd thunders through her Gym, so loud it makes the surface of the pool ripple with the vibrations from her speakers. For a moment, she imagines herself there with him. Pride swells in her chest. Warm. Overwhelming. Threatening to burst. She aches to tell him heā€™s done it.
That heā€™s finally done it.
It had always been uncertain. Theyā€™d talked about it on quiet, late nights, huddled under blankets and whispering dreams into the dark. Neither had been ready to admit they didnā€™t know exactly what being a PokĆ©mon Master meantā€”only that it was where they were headed. But Ash would always beam, his ego shining for the both of them, and tell her, with that unshakable confidence, that it meant being the best.
And now, he is. Maybe not a Master. But heā€™s the best. In the world.
Misty isnā€™t sure how quickly the decision forms in her mind, then. Only that itā€™s hers to make. She looks around at everything sheā€™s built, the life sheā€™s worked so hard to create. Every sacrifice, every late night and missed plan and loss sheā€™s faced, itā€™s lead her here. Excitementā€”real, visceral excitement, the kind that burns through her chest like a wildfire spreads. She's restless, alive, all at once.
The Elite Four can wait. The oceans, she thinks, have been waiting long enough.Ā
And maybeā€”just maybeā€”she'll tell Ash he has something to do with it. Not that sheā€™ll be able to do that any time soon, of course. Not that sheā€™ll find him on some far-off beach, near one of those oceans she wants to explore, where she can finally tell him how much seeing him make it has reminded her that her dreams mattered, too.

Pokeshipping Week 2024
Prompt 2: Fireworks
The sun, which had been setting earlier and earlier every evening, was just sinking below the distant mountains when the fireworks began lighting up the sky at the Summerā€™s End festival down by the Pallet Town coast.
Brock was inside helping Ashā€™s mom clean up after dinner, so it was just Ash, Misty, Pikachu, and Togepi out on the patio, enjoying the show.
Their mindless conversation petered out as the fireworks began, lulling them into a comfortable, easy silence.
ā€œYou know,ā€ Ash began casually after a bit, ā€œGary and I almost set that tree on fire with a firework once.ā€
Mistyā€™s face broke into a grin. ā€œNo,ā€ she gasped, delighted. ā€œWhat happened? And also, who in their right mind would give you two explosives?ā€
ā€œGary stole them from Professor Oak, obviously,ā€ Ash chuckled, and stretched out his arm to point to a barely noticeable, bare, dark patch of bark on the big maple tree next to his house. ā€œThere used to be a branch right there. We had a swing tied to it and everything. Well, Gary snagged a bottle rocket or something from the Professorā€™s stash and we decided it would be a good idea to, you know, try it out.ā€
ā€œOh no, Ash,ā€ Misty said, biting her lip in anticipation.
Ash just grinned. ā€œHe had his familyā€™s growlithe, the same arcanine he still has now, by the way, use a little flame thrower on the wick.ā€ He paused to laugh at his younger self again, shaking his head. ā€œWe were like, eight years old, so we had enough common sense to not aim at the house, but, wellā€¦ā€
He trailed off, cringing playfully at Misty who gasped in disbelief and amusement. ā€œYou forgot about the tree.ā€
ā€œWe forgot about the tree.ļæ½ļæ½
It was something they did from time to time while traveling; reminiscing and telling stories of their childhoods, and for a while, Ash had actually been self-conscious. Misty and Brock both grew up in cities, in their families gyms, surrounded by pokemon and battling and excitement. What could Ash, who grew up in nowhere, Pallet Town, possibly share compared to them?
He brought it up to Brock one day after Misty had told them a story about dumping bubble bath into the main battlefield two days before an inspection when she was four years old, but he just raised an eyebrow and smiled down at him wryly. ā€œAsh, have Misty or I ever looked bored during one of your childhood stories?ā€ he asked.
ā€œNo,ā€ Ash admitted.
Brock hummed. ā€œBecause weā€™re not. Especially Misty, sheā€™s always thrilled to hear about the stupid and ridiculous things you got up to as a little kid.ā€
Ash shrugged, feeling just a bit shy at the idea. ā€œI donā€™t know why,ā€ he murmured.
ā€œMaybe because itā€™s not so much the content of the story that she cares about as much as itā€™s the fact that itā€™s you, and she wants to learn and hear more about you,ā€ Brock had explained, like it was that simple. And even though Ash seriously doubted that was it, he had to admit, Misty was always excited for him to share the antidotes of his past.
Exactly like she was now, her eyes sparkling with the reflection of fireworks and glee at his tale of almost-arson. For some reason, he always enjoyed making Misty laugh the most.
ā€œWhatā€™s so funny, you two?ā€ came Brockā€™s voice as he patio door slid open, Brock and his mom joining them with a tray holding hot apple cider. Misty give them a gigantic grin.
ā€œAsh was telling me about the time he nearly set the whole yard on fire,ā€ she chirped in excited exaggeration. Ashā€™s mom sighed.
ā€œWhich time?ā€ she asked, tiredly.
Somehow, Mistyā€™s grin got even wider as she bounced in her seat, prodding her into sharing more stories.
Ash just sat back and enjoyed the show, the fireworks forgotten.

Why I M O, Pokeshipping is dead. ( kinda hot take, sorry pokeshippers. ) So, pokeshipping. The very 1st ship in the Pokemon animeā€™s history. I personally am not a fan of it, I did watch the original anime, and I personally donā€™t like mistyā€™s character. It was off putting to me.
Now as to what your here for, what killed pokeshipping. There are 3 main contributors to the death of pokeshipping.
1.) The length of time from when misty was replaced to now,
2.) Serena and Amourshipping
3.) The PokƩmon sun and moon anime
The length of time from when misty was replaced to now. Now while this might not have been much of an issue if the other 2 bullet points didnā€™t exist, it has been over a decade at this point, since we last saw misty, meaning that we have a severe lack in character development, and that gives time for other potentially better ships to be created, which leads me to my next point,
Serena and Amourshipping. Possibly one of the biggest ships right now, (which at this point isnā€™t going to fizzle out anytime soon. ) With Amourshipping going so far, as to introduce a major plot point in ashā€™s story by having Serena be his childhood acquaintance, many other points that multiple poketubers like Catch ā€˜Em All Saul, bring up in their videos from years past, to the kiss, and even the writers basically confirming the darn thing.
Amourshipping Confirmed?
So at this point, ( unless they throw all that away, which please. Donā€™t. ) there is next to no hope of pokeshipping to ever become cannon, which is only further proven by my last point,
The PokĆ©mon sun and moon anime. Now, this is honestly the iceberg that sank the ship, because Brock and Misty returned twice in the Sun and Moon anime, which Iā€™m pretty sure was for letā€™s go promotion. Now this is where all hope is lost for pokeshipping because even though they returned twice, Misty had literally zero emotional moments with ash whatsoever. No pokeshipping pandering, no flashbacks, nothing. Hereā€™s another video explaining that further.
They did Misty DIRTY!
Now while the only good thing to come out of the re-return episodes was Brock possibly finally finding a girlfriend,
Brock x Olivia
This was the point of no return for Misty and pokeshipping in general. Misty, even though she returned twice, in the most recent anime, had literally no development, and nothing to show how she grew as a character since her absence, her return seems pointless and devoid of substance, and with another ship still gaining popularity at an exponential rate, Iā€™m sorry pokeshippers, but,
Itā€™s time to pay your respects, and move on.
RIP pokeshipping
1997-2023
This is so weird.
I watched the anime, and I found Serena far more off-putting than Misty, since...she inexplicably had some bizarre backstory with Ash (despite being from Kalos), and that backstory was "she knew him for like five minutes but still has a crush on him for some reason". It doesn't help that instead of talking out her issues with Rhyhorn Racing with her mother like a normal person, she just bitches out her mom. But I figured, hey, a point for growth!
Then that didn't happen. Her crush ended up so overblown and obsessive it didn't feel natural (especially not for a ten year old), and her mother was proven right in the end about Serena giving up on stuff too easily. Also, the person Serena ACTUALLY had chemistry with (Shauna) was shoved aside in order to try and force @mourshipping.
Also the idea that Pokeshipping is dead due to Misty's return in SuMo (years ago) is...a wild take.
Additionally, Misty also returned in Journeys.
Also Ash isn't even in the anime anymore???
Anyway! Since this is pretty easy to check:
Tumblr media
Pokeshipping is the top Pokeani ship on AO3. It's followed in second place by Journeyshipping. The platonic relationship between Ash and Pikachu has more fics on AO3 than @mourshipping does. If Pokeshipping is REALLY dying out in favor of @mourshipping, then why does @mourshipping have less fics on AO3 than BOTH Pokeshipping AND Journeyshipping?

Hey dawg, don't worry. I too struggle with rememberin' that it ain't 2017 or '18 or whatever is more than 5 years ago. Counting years, appearances, or remembering what words like theory, or transport, fiction, shipping, Plato's cave or whatever are defined or what they mean is pretty difficult too - I don't get it, it all flies over me head.
Also, Pokemon, especially the anime, last I checked isn't really a romance related show. Beyond a few hints for the sake of teaching kids what falling in love is like, I don't think Ash having a girlfriend, let alone a wife, is ever in the cards. Especially since, y'know, he ain't the protag anymore.

Why, I M O amour/shipping is dead:
XY has been over for 8 years
Ash is no longer the protagonist.
It's a friggin' kids show.
The guy telling Pokeshippers to move on won't move on himself. It's over. Grow up, you're making yourself look worse every time you send these asks.
I've moved on. When will you?

Thanks @ghostradiodylan for tagging me! šŸ„°
1. Three ships:
Pokeshipping from Pokemon, they are the blueprint and the OTP. Rylan from The Quarry is my most recent ship and before that was Kuzuhina from Danganronpa.
2. First ever ship: Kim and Ron from Kim Possible was the first couple I became completely obsessed with.
3. Last song: dance in the dark by au/ra
4. Last film: The Hey Arnold Movie (got the DVDs to watch bits of the series, perhaps Arnold and Helga predate Kim and Ron since I vaguely remember wanting them together).
5. Currently reading: Poor Things by Alasdair Gray, the movie is coming out and my friend and I are wanting to see it so we're having a little book club

Pokeshipping five sentences, ā€œSplash Downā€
I'm so sorry for taking so long Anon, my original idea for this turned out to be a whole other oneshot in itself which I could not find the motivation to write completely. I decided I will chuck that for now, and just finish the request with a fresh start, hope you enjoy reading this.
They are around 17-18 in this scene, travelling in Paldea with a few of their friends. I, of course, did not stick to the 5 sentence rule šŸ«£šŸ¤”
~~~
Water always felt like second skin to Misty, she could stand to be in it for hours, diving deep or floating aimlessly, just immersing herself in it freely.
She did not expect others to understand what it was like for her, rather she enjoyed the few moments of solitude her hobby awarded her. Tonight was supposed to be one of those moments, she'd snuck away from where the gang had camped after everyone fell asleep, and found herself a little lake in the forest to explore. As she approached it, a group of Woopers quickly scattered away from the water, hiding themselves in the shrubbery around the lake and attempting to peek at her in secret, which earned them a chuckle from her.
Without too many big movements, Misty removed her jacket to reveal the swimsuit she was wearing underneath. Next, she took off her jean shorts, folding both the items and keeping them softly on the ground to not alert any more wild Pokemon. With a careful step, she dipped her bare feet in the water, feeling its icy temperature against her skin. Just as she liked it, Misty thought before diving in without hesitation.
It was much darker underwater, the moonlight had only illuminated the surface of the lake, and that too quite dimly. But it didn't take long for her eyes to adjust to the darkness, and through her practised breath control, she was able to swim around for a little while, disappointed to not come across any other Water Pokemon. That did explain why the Wooper were hanging around here, however.
She swam back to the surface, cutting through it to finally let go of the breath she was holding and pushing her dripping wet hair out of her eyes. Next time, she reminded herself, she would remember to tie them back.
Just as Misty prepared herself to go in for a second dive, she heard some movement from the bush behind her. She turned her head fast but saw that it was a Wooper running away to find a better hiding place. Smiling, she shook her head and went underwater once again.
This time, she did not make it much farther before she heard the noise of someone splashing down into the water. Panicking, as she had not kept any of her Pokemon on her, Misty halted her descent, instead preparing to turn around and head back up. But before she could get started on that, a pair of familiar arms wrapped themselves around her waist and she felt a hard, bare chest press against her back.
Even before she turned her head, she knew she would come face to face with Ash.
It was impossible, however, for her to get mad at him for scaring her like this when she couldn't afford to open her mouth. She glared at him with all her might, hoping that her turquoise eyes would drill a hole into his head, but Ash remained unfazed, the corner of his lips tugging at a smug smile, if it even was possible to look smug underwater.
Misty decided that the best course of action would be to swim upwards after getting out of Ash's grasp, but he had other plans for them.
In one swift movement, he crashed his lips onto hers.
It was difficult for Misty to describe the next few moments even if she tried.
She surrendered herself to Ash's kiss, grabbing his cheek tightly as his tongue parted her lips to entangle with her own, giving them the chance to share the breath of air that they had both been holding in. She'd always loved the feeling of kissing Ash, but never had she imagined that doing it underwater would make her realise that she even loved the thrill of their hearts beating loudly with their chests pressed together, the sound of their laboured breaths echoing in sync, the taste of salty freshwater mixing in with the taste of Ash's lips.
And then, just as suddenly as Ash had initiated the kiss, their bodies' tolerance to stay underwater ran out. The two of them struggled to swim back up to the surface, their arms draped across each other to ensure that the other was not left behind. When they finally emerged from the water, loudly coughing and gasping for air, Misty was able to recover the best of her senses and turn towards Ash with an accusatory glance.
"Ash Ketchum, what do you think-"
Ash laughed loudly, making a flock of Wattrel flee a nearby tree, squawking and screeching away into the clear night sky. He didn't waste any time and took advantage of her minute of confusion to wrap his arms around her waist and pull her closer to him. He leaned in towards her ear and whispered in a teasing tone-
"Ready for round two?"
Why I M O, Pokeshipping is dead. ( kinda hot take, sorry pokeshippers. )
So, pokeshipping. The very 1st ship in the Pokemon animeā€™s history. I personally am not a fan of it, I did watch the original anime, and I personally donā€™t like mistyā€™s character. It was off putting to me.
Now as to what your here for, what killed pokeshipping. There are 3 main contributors to the death of pokeshipping.
1.) The length of time from when misty was replaced to now,
2.) Serena and Amourshipping
3.) The PokƩmon sun and moon anime
The length of time from when misty was replaced to now. Now while this might not have been much of an issue if the other 2 bullet points didnā€™t exist, it has been over a decade at this point, since we last saw misty, meaning that we have a severe lack in character development, and that gives time for other potentially better ships to be created, which leads me to my next point,
Serena and Amourshipping. Possibly one of the biggest ships right now, (which at this point isnā€™t going to fizzle out anytime soon. ) With Amourshipping going so far, as to introduce a major plot point in ashā€™s story by having Serena be his childhood acquaintance, many other points that multiple poketubers like Catch ā€˜Em All Saul, bring up in their videos from years past, to the kiss, and even the writers basically confirming the darn thing.
Amourshipping Confirmed?
So at this point, ( unless they throw all that away, which please. Donā€™t. ) there is next to no hope of pokeshipping to ever become cannon, which is only further proven by my last point,
The PokĆ©mon sun and moon anime. Now, this is honestly the iceberg that sank the ship, because Brock and Misty returned twice in the Sun and Moon anime, which Iā€™m pretty sure was for letā€™s go promotion. Now this is where all hope is lost for pokeshipping because even though they returned twice, Misty had literally zero emotional moments with ash whatsoever. No pokeshipping pandering, no flashbacks, nothing. Hereā€™s another video explaining that further.
They did Misty DIRTY!
Now while the only good thing to come out of the re-return episodes was Brock possibly finally finding a girlfriend,
Brock x Olivia
This was the point of no return for Misty and pokeshipping in general. Misty, even though she returned twice, in the most recent anime, had literally no development, and nothing to show how she grew as a character since her absence, her return seems pointless and devoid of substance, and with another ship still gaining popularity at an exponential rate, Iā€™m sorry pokeshippers, but,
Itā€™s time to pay your respects, and move on.
RIP pokeshipping
Setting aside all of the character interactions and the dynamic I love so much, there are four outside reasons I believe Pokeshipping is meant to be canon.
1. That unreleased ending. I know the writers claim the orange haired woman was not meant to be Misty... but seriously? I believe it was meant to be Misty with her daughter and Ash's Pikachu. Not sure who the other lady was though. This was a potential wrap on the entire Pokemon anime, but obviously that didn't happen. They had to backtrack and claim the woman wasn't Misty so they could continue the show.
2. MangaPokeshipping is canon to an extent with some slightly inappropriate jacuzzi references. Also, Red (Ash's game counterpart) had a close friendship to (game) Misty as well.
3. The Queen of Hearts Card. Why would they create a theme opening with Misty on a queen of hearts with Delia? These writers weren't dumb! They knew what that meant. A woman represented by a queen of hearts represents the man's future partner. Like if they didn't intend to give us these HUGE Pokeshipping hints, then they WOULDN'T.
4. Red String of Fate. How many times can they possibly mention fate between the pair?? And why would it come up so damn often if it wasn't meant to pair them together? Ash talked about their friendship not being coincidence in Misty's final episode of her original run, while Misty referred to 'the Red String of Fate' in her return as a companion!
(Bonus) 5. Baby's breath. As I said in a previous post, the baby's breath flowers at the end of Kalos were strategically placed. They had other choices, but the writers chose to use the flower synonymous with Misty's Japanese name! If they didn't want to push Pokeshipping they should have chosen a different flower!
The writers are sly! They were all about Pokeshipping until they had to move on from Misty. Then they distracted everyone with small hints here and there with other girls. Of course, Serena came along later, and all hell broke loose. Suddenly, we are back to Ash traveling with Misty and Brock and it's like they never left - they are so natural together. It feels like once again the writers are pushing Pokeshipping. It's truly like this was what was always supposed to happen.
What are your favorite cartoon ships? (I totally came up with this question completely on my own off the top of my head and deffo am not stealing it from your answer to that anon ask šŸ‘)
Haha well yeah I'll pretend this is totally random then šŸ˜‰But thank you very much for asking! Literally been waiting for this question for forever lol! You already know two of them from the top 3 ship ask you asked earlier but I'll include them anyway: 1. Amourshipping (Pokemon) 2. Karmiro (Big Hero 6) 3. Robstar (Teen Titans) 4. JakexRose (American Dragon) 5. KimxRon (Kim Possible) 6. Pearlshipping (Also Pokemon) - I'm a big amourshipper but still love this ship ngl 7. Pokeshipping (Pokemon again) - Still a cute ship regardless 8. Bulie (Ben 10) 9. Gwevin (Ben 10) 10. Tailsmo (Sonic X)
Literally all very adorable ships. Amourshipping nad Karmiro are defnitely my favs tho. Quite different ships but both share the fact that they're both painfully not technically cannon lol. Yet I think that's why I love them so much and have felt the need to write fics about them to fix that. Ships that give me pain and anguish are clearly my favs basically lol. I could easily go into why I love all of these ships but I'd be typing all night haha Thanks again!
Why IMO pokeshipping is alive and well (Kinda hot take, sorry to my brothers and sisters)
So, pokeshipping. The very 1st ship in the Pokemon animeā€™s history. I personally am a huge fan of it, I have watched the original anime and I personally loved mistyā€™s character and the way she developed post johto journeys and how she became a strong gym leader and changed the entire landscape of her water type gym. It was captivating me.
Now as to what your here for, what kept pokeshipping still running and healthy. There are 3 main contributors for the livelihood of pokeshipping.
1.) The length of time from when misty first appeared in this show.
2.) Pikachu's pikachupi
3.) Mezase Pokemon master
The length of time from when misty first appeared in the show to now. Now while this might not have been much of a proof if the other 2 bullet points didnā€™t exist, it has been a year at this point, since we last saw misty, meaning that we have tons of character development, and that gives time for many of us fans to draw a lot of cute pokeshipping fanarts and write fluffy fanfics and that also gives the fans an idea about what plot they can include in their next pokeshipping fanfictions, which leads me to my next point.
Pikachu's pikachupi. Possibly one of the cutest nicknames for Misty right now, (which at this point isnā€™t going to fizzle out anytime soon. ) With the name pikachupi going so far, as to introduce a major plot point in ashā€™s story by calling Ash as Pikapi and Misty as Pikachupi.
And many other points that multiple pokeshipping fans bring up in their posts from the point where Misty fished out Ash in EP 1 to the point in MPM 02 where she again fishes him up with her lure tied around his arm, with Misty winking at him and even the fans got more energy to gush at the darn thing.
So at this point, there would always be more of pokeshipping fanarts,fanfics and amv's for eternity which is only further proven by my last point,
The Mesase Pokemon master. Now, this is honestly the cherry on the top of the pokeshipping ice-cream that was heartily enjoyed by pokeshippers, because Misty and Brock returned in the Mezase pokemon master anime, which Iā€™m pretty sure was for giving a proper farewell to Ash and the OG Trio. Now this is where all pokeshipping energies got amplified pokeshipping because even though she returned after years, there were a lots of pokeshipping moments, a reference to her lure, the red string of fate mention etc. Now while also the good thing to come out of the MPM episodes was Ash reuniting with Cilan and his old Pokemon and Pidgeot coming back to his team.
This was the point of return for Misty and pokeshipping in general. Misty, returned after 3 years in MPM and had a lot of character development, and everything to show how she grew as a character since her absence and her delightful chemistry with Ash (also defeating Ash the WORLD CHAMPION!!) her return seemed to fill with positive energy and full of laughter and smiles and with the new fanfictions and fanarts still made at an exponential rate, thank you pokeshippers, it's time to make more fluffy pokeshipping fanarts and fanfics!!!
Viva la pokeshipping: 1997-eternity
