A Waterford crystal guitar. Seen in the window at Harrod's in London, on 26/4/18 Why, I'm asking? There were several other musical instruments rendered in crystal as well, but being into rock music, this one especially captured my attention. Why would you especially, want this? I guess just to show off how goddamned fucking rich you really are. Wow, just wow. That was my sentiment walking through the whole store. I've really been mindful of what I'm wearing lately.

And I'm absolutely loving it. Before I started the whole minimalist thing I was getting my clothes from fast fashion retailers. (Think Forever21, H&M, Charlotte Russe) The pieces generally only lasted maybe 3-6 months before something broke or ripped. That's because those shops don't make clothing to last. Everything that goes into the pieces are generally lower quality to keep cost down and get it to the masses. After a time of buying "fast fashion" clothing, I became really irritated at how much it was adding up to have to go out and replace something I bought at forever 21 three months ago. Screw that. I've decided what I want my style to be. My current wardrobe is where I want it to be in terms of size and color palette. The only thing I would like to improve on is quality of the pieces themselves. I've been studying what kinds of fabrics are better quality and ways to look more put together. I'm doing a pretty good job. So I've decided that my solution to the "fast fashion" problem is to invest in better quality pieces. They'll look nicer and last much longer. The style I've adapted is very neutral (gray scale and khaki) and timeless and I feel that works for me. It's really important that the pieces last a long time but that they will never go out of style. The goal here is to look very polished and put together without putting alot of effort in. So that's where I've been at mentally in terms of my wardrobe. It's a work in progress but it's coming together. It makes me feel better and perform better when I feel put together. If I were one to follow trends, I'd see it beneficial to have places like forever 21 in my back pocket to purchase those trend items but still have the capsule wardrobe. I, however, am not into trends and would see it as going against the whole idea of being a minimalist. But hey, do what works for you. It's not my place to say what other people should do. This is just what I do. Blahblahblah Anyway, I hope anyone who sees this is having a fannnnnnntastic day ❤❤❤❤

Ironman Chattanooga 70.3 triathlon... wearing the Wattie Ink Network Collection kit. I got a ton of compliments on it and it was super comfortable. The swim was amazing... down river and shortened, so it was only 23 minutes in the water for me. The bike and run were not as good... it was pretty hilly and I didn't quite have the legs yet. Need to do a lot more training. I finished though and that was my only goal. The people of Chattanooga really get excited about this triathlon and there's a lot of people cheering along the race. The Love Kickstarts Again

I have officially finished up in Galway. My last day the office brought Jamie and myself out for lunch as a last goodbye from everyone which was nice. I really enjoyed my time in Galway and felt that it gave me a better understanding of the CRM system, coming into Dublin this was truly invaluable as it has given me the opportunity to perform.

We could have Monday off as the house that we would be staying in for the remainder of our placement was to be cleaned. I travelled up to Dublin on the Monday and managed to find the house.

Tuesday.

Tuesday, I walked in to the new office, it’s nice up here, it’s just been renovated from when I last seen it in induction. I came in at 10AM and was greeted by Oliver, it was nice to put a face to the name. Oliver had helped us somewhat in our project back when we just started this. He gave us a tour of the office and introduced us to the rest of the team. Not too long after the tour I was informed that I would be working on the SCSI project, this was fantastic news to hear as it would mean that I would have work to do ASAP and also the fact that I have some experience with this from our third year project gave me a boost in confidence. There was not much to do after this, the same as our first days in Galway, people are busy, so it may take some time for them to get me fully integrated. I am to have a meeting with the SCSI team and until then I am just reading over the documentation already made and trying to catch up to the speed of the team.

Wednesday.

Another slow morning, I just spent a lot of time working on the Farmhand offline issue, got nowhere really. I had a call with Microsoft in the morning regarding it, although this was just an inspection through the representative. I will be awaiting some feedback from them. Later the day, Oliver (Senior Consultant) came to talk to me regarding some issues they were having in the contact entity of the SCSI project. One was an implementation, when an option set field was set to ‘Yes’ the date field below it was to be set for the new year. I managed to get this completed within the day. The next issue was a bit funkier, there are 2 fields for an address, one region and another County, however once the record is saved and then navigated to the County field is blank. I later found out while the county field is blank the value is still there, meaning the CRM at some point saved the inputted value. I could not find the answer to this today.

 Thursday.

Came in a little bit tired but excited that I have some work to do, the day always goes slower without work and I am enjoying the opportunity to prove myself in Dublin. I continued with the bug that Oliver told me about regarding that the County cleared once the page was loaded. From yesterday’s investigation I could see that the value was not being replaced, removed or corrupted. From this I began to investigate the JS, it took me awhile, but I soon found the issue, once the page was loaded the field was being set to null. I could understand why it was done this way, but it would cause the issue every time. Instead I took out the line and set it to a new method so that instead of when the page loads, it would set the field to null when the region field was changed. This made more sense in my mind and worked like a charm. Later that day, Shane told me to attend a meeting with SCSI, Oliver and himself to help me wrapped my head around the status of the project. This was a good opportunity to learn so I attended, really kept my mouth shut throughout as I was a newcomer to this whole thing. I was told that I may be attending a face to face meeting with SCSI the next day which sounds exciting.

 Friday.

Forgot it was a casual dress code and walked in fully suited…. Don’t care I look great!

So, I started the day by helping Ciara with an altercation issue she is having, basically she has got a lot set up, but the contact is deactivated, and we need to active it when a redemption code is entered. To combat this, I created a workflow that calls an action within it. At about half 11am Shane, Oliver and Myself met up in the board room to discuss ongoing issues before we headed off to SCSI HQ. Meeting the people there gave me a lot of insight into the company and how they wanted the instance to be made although a lot of the information flew by quickly. Once this was complete we went for lunch, Shane was nice enough to buy mine. From here Oliver gave me some tasks to complete, and soon its beer and pizza MUAHAHAHAHA!
