New Rejected Disney Television Animation Pilots Unveiled "Odd Jobs" and "Portal Hoppers"

Recently we unveiled a a look to the rejected Disney TVA series Uncookedland, apparently Matt Danner ("Legend Of The Three Caballeros") worked as Director for the pilot.

As Danner was thanking the people for seeing the pilots where here worked on ("Shred Force", "MEGA, MEGA Whoosh" and Uncookeland"). Cartoon Network Studios creator Andrew Dickman ("Harmony In Despair") mentioned a pilot under the name "Odd Jobs" where he worked on.

Not many information for Odd Jobs or it's creator is available however based on it's title we can assume is a wacky episodic comedy about the mcs having multiple jobs.

Recently JJ Villard attended the Creative Block podcast where he commented about his career as cartoonist/animator that lead to create the Adult Swim series "King Star King" and "JJ's Villard Fairy Tales" and the Cartoon Cartoons short "Scaredy Cat" that according to him almost lead him to be blacklisted after trying to sell it to Nickelodeon since Warner Bros/Cartoon Network dosn't want to release it and apparently broke the NDA contract.

During the podcast Villard revealed that he had a small overall development deal with Disney Television Animation with a show under the name "Portal Hoppers" according to Villard the series was aiming to be for Disney XD, as it's name says the show would have been about multiverse dimension hopping alongside the likes of Star Vs The Forces of Evil by Daron Nefcy, Penn Zero: Part-Time Hero by Jared Bush and Sam Levine and Very Important House by Jenny Goldberg and Jhonen Vasquez this is the only information so far.

Likely "Portal Hoppers" was passed when Disney decided to bring back all DTVA series in development for the Disney Channel which made Portal Hoppers to feel out of place with the demographic Disney Channel is know for.

"We'll just go and visit a nice timeline, spend some time enjoying the calm, and then return back to the rest of the fam."

Finally, Captain sighed. "Fine, little star. We'll do it with your portal, but if anything goes wrong, Null's opening the next one."

Null gave him a look, but Hop beamed. "Deal!"

So he opened the portal and gestured for them to walk in. Soon, he followed after them. He had planned to walk into a roof, not to fall-

He quickly looked around. Something was wrong. This place was loud and crowded, and definitely not New York City. Then he saw the banner:

The AU Competition!! He knew this! He had been part of this multidimensional tournament that happened in a pocket dimension. Huh, then at least this time, it wasn't his portal being weird. Good to know. Soon, he noticed how he no longer wore his scarf nor held his katana. Instead, he was wearing a nice starry cape- he could get used to that. But he wasn't sure about the violin bow. Could he even play violin? Eh, he'll figure it out. But now... Where were Null and Captain!?

ALFRED "JEFF" HOPPER (THE UNTITLEDVERSE)

I don't this is necessarily correct. Throughout the first two sagas (The Pefect Storm and The Omniscient Rule sagas), Jeff has been nothing more than a supporting and often times tertiary protagonist. Maybe not a main but definitely important. He has moments of selfishness, sure, but that's not often. The only really selfish "messed shit up for everyone" moment was when he took the opportunity to change course of events which worsened the space-time continuum while he had been helping the Time Guard chase after a time-travelling mass serial killer fugitive who had been making Time unstable in the first place, which wasn't even out of malicious intent, rather he just wanted his bestest friend back from non-existence, that being Lena Elliot. So yeah, he screwed up, but not to a villainous extent.

ALEXANDER KHAOS (THE SILVER CHRONICLES)

Oh god another villain result. Which... is more accurate for Alexander than it is for Jeff. He's more of an antagonist to Silva, that's for sure (being the right-hand man and Chosen Extraordinaire, which is basically Jacob's top elite Chosen, of Jacob Seed). He has unresolved trauma in regards to his time in Wellington Wells and has embraced his role in Hope County in Eden's Gate, though if a stronger or more ideological compatible person came around, he'd take his loyalists (which includes Hannah McCalkin) and leave Jacob behind.

ALPH DOLEN (A RADIOACTIVE CALAMITY OF LOVE, BOMBS & GORE)

Kind of ironic that he craves love and wants to be surrounded by love but is the "Lone Wanderer". Doubly ironic when he's ghoulified... something that should be where he is rejected by everyone and everything, but ends up with more than he could ever ask for, especially with Ress and Amata... until Arcane Urias ruins everything, as he does.

Here's the list of my top four fictional crushes:

Maki Zen'in - Jujutsu Kaisen (Specifically post-Shibuya Arc)

Soundwave - Transformers Prime (when I was young and both completely blind without glasses I didn't know I required and literacy blind to whatever I was watching, I thought this Soundwave (the only one I had been introduced to at the time) was female... he's still pretty aesthetically pleasing though, cool AF, and a caring parent to Laserbeak so...)

3. Faith Seed - Far Cry 5 (daydreaming-about-frollicking-in-green-flower-fields-and-living-in-cozy-cottages lesbians UNITE!)

(however fair warning she might get you high enough to talk to God and try to convince you to join her older adoptive brother's cult)

4. GLaDOS - Portal

5. Sea Empress - Subnautica

Two of the worst ship charts for The Silver Chronicles and Life, Despair & Monsters.

What draws them together? Initially the mystery surrounding each other as no one except a very specific few know much about their former lives, and their opposing factions forces them to interact a lot, and thanks to the Bliss, that's what they mostly end up doing. Plus they mostly fit each others preferences.

What stands in the way? They are at war in two opposing factions, one that wants to kill/detain (Resistance) and the other that will kill but will try to indoctrinate Silva (Eden's Gate). Opposing morality, beliefs and trust issues also get in the way.

What are their good traits? Silva and Faith find companionship with another due to their similar past/current circumstances, and Silva's compassion and unexpected kindness is bizarre and appealing to Faith, as her cunning and passions are appealing to Silva. Both are willing to sabotage their own factions to keep the other around a bit longer, plus their determination to find a peaceful resolution.

What makes them hopeless at romance? Trust, or lack there of. Silva is weary that Faith will report anything she says to Joseph to better get her into Eden's Gate, while Faith is weary that Silva is trying to get close to manipulate her into coming out into the open to better take her down. Both are correct in the beginning but later down the line it gets muddied. Silva also refuses to speak of her past (understandable) except for the vaguest of truths while Faith doesn't fully open herself up in fear of being scorned. Not to mention it's been a long while since Silva had been in a romantic relationship and Faith is very inexperienced.

Describe them with one trope: Toxic Toxic "I can fix her" & "I can make her worse/better" Enemies-To-Lovers Yuri.

Translation for the unreadable (Also note that when Jennifer is talking about her partner, it's mostly complaining about Sonya, and Sonya's image is more a reference to what I closely envision her as):

What draws them together? They both fail to kill each other and have a bone to pick with both Dicko and Sir Enigma Malvolio and they're also considered "non-human" now.

What stands in their way? Sonya is unstable to the point she's agitated enough to kill others on instinct which Jennifer is trying to control much to Sonya's distaste. There's also the fact Sonya is like a 12-foot something mecha-beastie which she doesn't think Jennifer finds attractive. Jennifer is in denial of her feelings and believes if she loses control of Sonya then it will be right back to square-one like it was with Dicko or she'd die, either one.

What are their good traits? They both have a common interest revenge against Dicko (successful) and Malvolio (work-in-progress), and Sonya acts as Jennifer's trump card and intimidation factor in their illegal business. Both also have an appreciation for their brutal honesty and openness with one another and relatability (with Jennifer as a synthetic human and Sonya's brain transferred to a mecha-beastie). They have no problems committing murder together.

What makes them hopeless at romance? Jennifer is used to being treated as an object of lust and since her freedom from Dicko and take over of his business has pushed to be in control of everything (including Sonya) and is trying to ensure she doesn't lose that control and denying all romantic/sexual feelings, while Sonya is a victim of Malvolio and his treatment of her has left a lot of psychological scars where she dehumanizes herself and does everything in her power to prove it correct too.

Describe them with one trope: Toxic "I can make you so-so-so worse baby" bloody murder Yuri situationship/partnership on a mission of revenge with a pinch of monsterfucking and goes from "I want to kill you" to "I'd kill for you" pipeline.

Instead of where he intended to go, that blue fracture tore itself open somewhere new and foreign to the skeleton.

Emerging through that passageway before it shrank into nothing behind him, Stone squinted disapprovingly at his surroundings and absently tongued the filter of his cigarette. This place was far more lush than where he had hoped to be, a stark contrast to the brick and concrete of his homeland.

"Well, shit... this isn't the bar." A low baritone mutter, laced with smoke curling lazily into the air.

Born in Gwardan on the Menagerie Coast, Odyssey was raised in the House of Enlightenment, a Temple to the goddess Ioun. But, unlike their classmates, they could never manage to connect with the goddess. Berated for their failure for years, they grew resentful of the gods, and the clerics who received their magic on a silver platter with no effort. They remained, though, studying Divination until their graduation. On their first mission away from home, they were whisked into the Feywild through a mysterious portal. It was only the first of many on their journey through the planes, but it's where they would meet the party that, for the first time, will change their outlook on the world...

As far as his party is aware, Aamris Zoryax is a Dragonborn, a nomad raised in the Ashkeeper peaks, and travelling around in search of knowledge. This is true...for the moment. Aamris is just one of hundreds of names he's worn, one of hundreds of faces. In reality, he's a Vollstrucker agent, stationed behind enemy lines in the Kryn Dyansty. The trail he's been following led him to Jigow, where he became a member of a party of rag-tag, morally compromised secret keepers. Together, they hunt for the secrets of the ghostly Apotheon...as long as they don't kill each other first.

Breylin

Drow | Druid | Circle of Spores | Outlander

Abandoned in the Undergrowth of a giant, ancient forest for being a third-born drow, Breylin was taken in by the Myconid Colony and raised alongside the colony spawn. He doesn't know much about his drow history, where he came from or what House he was in, but if he's honest, he doesn't really care. The Myconids are his family, and the Undergrowth is his home. He is content, and happy, until he finds S.A.R.A., porcelain automaton left alone and broken in the woods. Remembering what had happened to him, he couldn't leave her behind. So, he woke her up, healed her, and made a promise to be for her what the Myconids were for him. Not just family but something more. Something deeper, like fungal roots taking hold in the cracks of tree bark. The two travel together now, Breylin hoping that they will find what S.A.R.A. is looking for. What he will find along the way, he has yet to find out...

Stranger Things Portal AU Concept:

Nancy would take the place of Chell. Ted Wheeler was an Aperture employee. In 1983, they had a take your daughter to work day. Cue the events of the first game. Nancy would master a portal gun and the tests easily. Mike’s ok, since he didn't go.

The second game starts in the year 1999, Nancy wakes up, everything with Wheatley still happens, she falls into the pit and has to slowly make her way back. She's traversing through 60s Aperture when she comes across an early sleep stasis chamber. Twelve year old El is inside.

Martin Brenner is the Cave Johnson of this world. He experimented on powered children just like canon. Something happened that shut down that experiment, so he locked El away for a future day.

El's powers help everything go a lot safer and quicker than canon, and they escape relatively unharmed. GlaDos essentially kicks them out, not just because of Nancy, but because she knows that El could very easily rip her apart.

Post-escape plot points:

- Nancy is still sixteen when they escape.

- Chief Hopper knew that shady things had happened in Hawkins Lab, but the government managed to keep him away enough that he never figured out exactly that was being done there. The rest of the town assumed it was an accidental fire that killed so many. (think Starcourt Mall)

- Mike and Will are gay and happily living together in Hawkins.

- Nancy struggles with this reveal, not because she's bigoted but because she had always felt ashamed of her own sexuality growing up. It came as quite a shock to return to a much more accepting time. (Obviously still not perfect world, but better than the 80's.)

- Mike helps her through her crisis

- Their relationship ends up being much closer, since Mike has matured and has missed his sister so much.

-Holly is 19 in 1999. It freaks Nancy a bit out. They spend an awkward time getting to know each other, but end up being great friends. Holly takes charge of reintroducing her to society.

- Jonathan was Will's baby brother when Nancy was taken. He is almost 17 when she escapes.

-Holly is besties with Jonathan since their brothers have been together since they could remember

- Steve is 17.

- Robin is 16.

-Nancy had babysat both Jonathan and Steve before. She does not date them.

-Robin and Steve are working at the video store at this time. This is how Nancy becomes friends with them, as she is in the midst of a cultural/movie catch up.

-Robin is a little more open with her sexuality in 1999, but it’s still not widely known. She does, however, flirt with Nancy.

-Nancy gay panics the first few times. Once she starts to get more comfortable in herself, she turns the tables on Robin.

- Byler adopt El.

- Lucas and Max have a child that's around El's age.

- The entire party essentially become her parental figures. She gets all the love and help she deserves.

- Nancy and El go to therapy, and both struggle with severe PTSD. They rely on each other and remain very close.

(Just thought it was a fun idea. It's not super well thought out yet. Feel free to add or change ideas. *Slaps AU* This baby can fit so much found family bonding.)
