"You-you what?" Olivier asked softly, unsure he heard correctly. They were pressed quite close together in the small supply closet, having been locked in as they were closing up shop because Feuilly forgot to leave it unlocked.  This was unlike him. He had a growing crush on his co-worker, but Oli didn't want to say anything for fear of ruining their friendship. He thought the feelings were returned, but the growing sexual tension may have jut been his imagination.

"I cannot. My parents tried to get me to play musical instruments for a couple of months as some sort of... sophisticated hobby, but I am not musically inclined, so every attempt went horribly wrong no matter how determined I was to please them."

I know I consider myself fortunate - living in North America, where countries are so huge and diversified - from New Brunswick to British Columbia, or from Maine to California, it could almost be another country for how diverse it is - it's harder to drive or take a train or a bus and cross half a dozen different countries. I'm 25 and I've been to... 8 different countries, on two continents? I know plenty of people who have never left the province - they never wanted to, which is fine, or never could, which breaks my heart. So I'm lucky. Still...
