idk if this is canon or not but i heard somewhere that shoko and geto friends first before she introduced geto to gojo. and then they became closer with eachother and left her behind.
that has to be a special kind of hurt. i dont think she loved either of them, but introducing your closest friend to someone else, only for that person to chose that person over you?
i wonder if she resented gojo deep down. jealous. maybe thats why he and her never grew closer after geto's expulsion. maybe a part of her blamed gojo too.
i wonder if she regrets not ever getting over that childish resentment, now, when its too late to fix anything

When the strongest jujutsu sorcerer to have ever lived wakes up in the early am with the sensation of thorns scratching his throat and fullness in his stomach, he’s baffled.
Even more so when he doubles over in bed to cough profusely to the point of near emesis, shocking for a man who rarely gets sick. He stares blankly at a pillow covered in droplets of flecks of red, and his eyes widen with trepidation, until he realizes those large drops strewn across his bed come from flowers rather than blood.
He must be dreaming, Gojo Satoru tells himself, but the satiny feel of the scarlet petals between his fingertips is very real.
Or perhaps a curse.

Part 9 is gonna be kinda funny honestly, since it's basically
SIkuna: *tries his best to balance coming off as Sukuna-like (kinda conceited and such) with also being relatively nice and making Yuji as comfy as he can despite the circumstances
(without letting on just how much he'd like to hug the kid, and ask a billion questions about whether he's alright or not, and tell Yuji just how badly he wanted the Detention Center thing to end differently-)*
Meanwhile, Yuji: 'I can't prove anything, but my Bullshit detectors are telling me that he's trying to Bullshit 🤨'
Though even more meanwhile (probably not outright depicted in the Part for now but it is happening);
Nobara, Megumi, and Satoru: *deal with their respective parts of the Plan, and try not to feel murderous at the people happy to see Yuji 'dead'
(whilst also attempting not to think about just how every single second lost could impact their 'deceased' friend/student)*
Ijichi: *gets his hand fixed and makes sure that Shoko is well-informed of the Plan, hoping that this will not end in an utter disaster*
Shoko: *is very outwardly chill about it all, but at the same time has a Lot of internal Hmmmmm's on the matter*
.

Have you guys seen those videos of people dressing up as the grinch (typically it would be a relative duh) scaring the children and pretending to steal their gifts? Well, I can totally see Gojos unserious goofy ass doing that to a young Megumi, Tsumiki (and when he invites Suguru and his girls over) the twins. 💀💀💀😭😭

saw that ur shoko requests were open and i had an idea of what the fic could be abt:
since shoko’s entire friend group is dead she hasn’t exactly been the best and she’s at a bar drinking and meets reader (could be her childhood friend for a more interesting dynamic) n things happen and they hook up n become fwb.
and like during this whole fwb shoko becomes obsessed with reader because she’s touch starved and reader is the only one who’s offering her comfort even if it’s mostly carnal…
u can decide what happens from there but js a tiny idea^^ if you’ve already received a request js ignore this
this just made me realize that shoko and satoru are more alike than i ever thought. They're both one-of-a-kind sorcerers. They both have the world of jujutsu on their back. The only difference is that Gojo at least was acknowledged of that. No one really bothers with Ieri's dark circles and the smoking addiction (she developed when she was 16-probably even younger, honestly). She has rct so she can just heal herself. She's fine.
Satoru and Shoko would probably fall for the first person who showed them even a sliver of humanity. Just one person to see them as a person instead of a tool or the strongest or some healing potion.

People (including myself) always write reader to be annoyed with satoru and his antics and still love him despite it but I think we need more readers who are just as annoying as him

It’s cold here, Gojo thought to himself.
It was the first thought to cross his mind once he had become lucid. Everything was dark—the cold feels dark. He realized that he had been asleep, or maybe knocked out— he wasn’t entirely sure. But he knew that he was out for a long time. Or at least that’s what he thought.
But he still wasn’t entirely awake…
His eyelids were shut tight, but once he gained more consciousness, he realized that he wasn’t in the dark— there was a beaming white, bright light right above him.
He flinched at the sudden difference. The light hit his pupils through his eyelids.
His body felt paralyzed. From what he understood through his senses, he was laying on a cold, maybe metal table, with a light shining over him.
Where the hell am I?
His eyes, though hesitant, slowly opened. Giving enough time for his eyes to adjust to the screaming white light.
His eyes opened entirely after a few minutes of adjusting to a shining medical light over him. He’s seen this light enough times from spending time in infirmary rooms to be able to instantly recognize it.
“Where am I?” He mumbled, feeling another presence in the room.
“You’re in a morgue,” a distorted voice spoke. He couldn’t tell whose voice it was because it sounded like multiple people speaking over each other at the same time. Male, female, child, high pitched, and low pitched voices, all overlapping. For the first time in a long time, he was genuinely terrified. Unable to move, unable to tell who was with him, and entirely disoriented.
“Why am I in a morgue?” He tried to sit up but was still unable to move. There wasn’t a weight on him preventing his movements, rather he felt entirely disconnected from the rest of his body.
“Because, you’re dead,” the voice responded nonchalantly, “People end up in morgues when they are dead,”
“But I’m awake. How can I be dead if I’m awake and talking?” He spoke as if the mortician was missing the obvious.
“You died 3 hours ago,” the voice responded, “I even signed your death certificate,” Gojo moved his eyes down to look at the paper the person was showing him. He tried to get a glimpse of the person in the room with him. But all he saw was an unrecognizable silhouette. The person displayed and pointed to Gojo’s time of a death and read aloud the cause of death “Traumatic hemicorporectomy,” they read before folding the paper and putting it on a clean counter space, “It means you died from being cut in half. Blood loss, internal trauma, the spinal cord being cut through, obviously, all of those are givens,”
“That can’t be true,” Gojo replied in disbelief, “I won. I know that I outsmarted and—”
“But you didn’t,” the silhouette moved from the side of Gojo’s body to above his head. Blocking some of the bright light from hitting Gojo’s eyes directly.
“But— that means I’m actually dead…” he started to panic realizing the gravity of the situation, “You have to let me leave from here! My students they need me—“
“Hush now, I have to get you ready for the funeral. You have to look good for it— for everyone,” Gojo suddenly felt a damp sponge gently patting his forehead, “I’m really good at what I do…even if it is you. I’m not going to let you distract me from my work,” and with the start of her sentence. All the other voices slipped away to reveal one singular voice.
“Shoko?” Gojo squinted his eyes trying to see who’s head was above his.
Her image became clear as Gojo felt a drop of water fall to his forehead. It was her tears. He saw her crying, her tears streaming down her cheeks hiding from view as they fell behind her surgical mask.
“Shoko…” He became even more panicked as he realized that Shoko truly thought he was dead.
“You can’t talk anymore, I have to prep your body,” she wiped the tear from his forehead and grazed her fingers on the stitching she made along his forehead hours earlier.
“I’m not dead! Shoko, stop messing around!” His voice was frenzied.
“I’m not,” she picked up a makeup brush and started to streak it across his forehead. Making the stitches not so apparent.
“Then why are you talking to me? How can I speak if I’m dead?” “Maybe because it makes you feel less guilty. Or maybe because it makes the most sense for you to see this part. Or maybe this surgical light is what heaven is to you,” She pointed to the light with her free hand, not moving her sight from her brush application on Gojo’s forehead, “Y’know the ‘shining bright white light’ that everyone claims to see when they pass on,” She put the makeup brush down on the rolling tray, “I’m also assuming because I’m the only one here, you saw everyone else already?”
Gojo’s eyes widened as he realized that he had seen all of his friends who had already passed on. Nanami, Haibara, Suguru… “Yeah,” he replied weakly.
“Hm,” Shoko just looked down and locked eyes with Gojo.
“Will you be okay?”
“No,” She shook her head slightly, “You left me,”
“I didn’t mean to,” his voice laced with sadness. If he was able to move he would have embraced her, put his hand on her cheek, anything to give her comfort. But here he was, unable to move, lying still on the metal table.
“That makes it worse…” She replied bluntly, pulling down her medical mask to reveal the rest of her face.
Gojo frowned.
“Sorry… Just never thought there would be a day where I would be living and you wouldn’t. You really made me think that you were forever…”
“You’re angry, I get that—“ “You’re naive Satoru, naive and wrong,” She brushed the strands of loose hair away from his face, “I’m not angry. You were always more human than me, and here you are…dying, the most human thing someone can do,”
He looked at her softly, “Shoko?” “Yeah?”
“Was there a meaning to any of this? To the lives we lived?”
She chuckled lightly, “You’re asking me that?”
“What better time to ask than now,” he tried to smile through his fear.
Shoko thought for a moment. She gave a downturned smile, “There isn’t...” She bent down sightly and planted a gentle kiss on his forehead, “But you, Satoru, meant the most to me…”
Everything faded from Gojo’s view and senses..
It’s cold again…
