okay quick context ponniyan selvan was my FAVE book growing up. I studied tamil literature in school (by choice lol) and I learned the whole fucking series and it's like MY THING.

i know this movie took forever to make but holy fuck the CAST IS JUST BASICALLY JUST THE BEST OF THE BEST.

(i don't like karthi and the fact that he is playing Vanthiyathevan is annoying me but whatever)

BUT MY FAVE CHARACTER (Arulmozhivarman) is played by Jayam Ravi and I CAN'T WAIT.

I haven't watched a tamil movie in the theatre in a long time (last was baahubali 2) and i am so excited for it.

Also Mani Ratnam + A.R Rahaman combo is a masterpiece anyway.
