The name Polypa is clearly derived from "polyp", which sounds kind of gross, but since she uses poison as a weapon against seadwellers, it presumably means in the sense of a jellyfish polyp. The Goezee part is a bit worse. See, she uses a poison-coated knife specifically, and Albert Goozee was a British child molester and murderer, who used a knife to stab his landlady and her pubescent daughter to death when her husband tried to kick him out for having sex with both of them. This is absolutely intentional on the writers' part; every other offensive reference has been.

Oh! I suppose now's as good a time as any to commit to my longstanding suspicion that "Polypa Goezee" and "butt(ery) exploded kernels" (the popcorn you eat with her at the theater) are both ass jokes

And the Red Sun burning people might explain why her trollcall text both suggests and denies that her bandages mark her as a burn victim...? You get "can't catch her if she's on fire" (a Dr. McNinja reference) and a footnote saying "bandages unrelated to fire". And she IS trying to avoid being seen... or as she puts it "lying low until the heat goes down", which feeds the complementary sun-as-eye angle. Vaguely interesting in this context that your cover should be blown by a redblood...? The purpleblood he's with is ram-coded instead of goat-coded, but ruminant crackdown still feels loaded. Anyway
