For me, the stages of language learning are: 1. Feel connected and comfortable with the target language(s) 2. Keep immersing and enjoying the language(s) 3. Improving I took 6 months for Esperanto and 2 years for Spanish and Arabic just to feel comfortable with those languages ^^' Sorry to disappoint, I don't really care with the language level. I think I am still A2 now after 2 years, but feeling comfortable when listening people speak Spanish and Arabic is already big achievement for me. Last thing, I never plan to reach C2 level for languages that I learn. Maybe I will satisfy with A2 and add other languages, lol. (Online Polyglot Gathering, May 20th-23rd 2021) #polyglotgathering

Language identity, very interesting topic for a research. Last time I talked to my friend, he identified himself to his 2nd language more than his native language. As well as my own experience. I identify myself more to my 2nd language more than my native language. Interestingly, for each language that I have, I put identity on it. Something that I associate the language and relates it to myself. #polyglotgathering May, 20th-24th 2021
