Five days until Masters Day, and thus five days until the earliest we could get datamine.  I’m making my predictions now.

The explanation of tiles:

Masters Day Is Improved - April 2023 set a shitty precedent for Masters Day moving forward.  Only one EX and one grid expansion?  That’s too little.  I would like to believe that this is due to the BP units, Lodge units, and prior variety units getting EX, but it’s still lame as hell.  Three of either EX or expansions should be occurring.  I think they’ll get there.

Solgaleo Boosts Crit - A safe one.  Solgaleo is definitely getting EX, that always comes first, but I’m willing to bet they go a bit self-sufficient with it and let it boost crit rate.  They did it for Cyrus, Silver, and Ghetsis, and Zinniquaza had her trainer move’s drawback removed on mega evolving.  They love making these guys self-sufficient.

Gladion Alt - We are so far past due and if he doesn’t get something now I think people are gonna be Real Mad.

Guzma Still Relevant? - No.  I’m going to make a wild prediction and say that between Aether Fam and the protagonists, and even the International Police fam, Guzma may have some plot relevance but will not be significant.  I sure as hell don’t expect an alt.

Terrakion in Gauntlet - Gauntlet kicks up next month, and I’m betting Terrakion debuts.  They’ve been throwing some challenging spreads at us, and I imagine they’re itching to toss in Terrakion.

SS Cynthia Grid Expansion - This begins a chain.  SS Cynthia feels like an obvious expansion.  There are no Alolan PokeFairs, so the Lodge spotlight has to be someone already in.  It can’t be a new person.  Meaning the PokeFair expansion has to be an alt, or someone without 5/5.  And again, there are no connecting people.  But there is a connecting Pokemon, in Kommo-o, who has no expansions, and is Cynthia.  Alola is not particularly popular.  Aether Fam carries this region.  This is a smart time to bring in a powerhouse favorite like Cynthia to drum up some extra revenue.

Master BP EX - Solgaleo is getting EX, I am anticipating the other MU alts will too, and thus the Master BP units have no excuse anymore.

Lusamine & Nihilego - Literally the only square I care about.  Give me the Lusamine/Nihilego alt.  If nothing else happens, and I only get this, I’ve won.

Lodge Lusamine - Given Lillie is already in Lodge, and we know Aether Fam carries, I’m anticipating Lodge Lusamine next.  This only works if it’s both parts in one month, like Unova.  If it’s split between months, she may be next month, but I’ll get to that.

Lusamine Grid Expansion - Between her, Guzma, Plumeria, and Gladion, Lusamine legitimately needs it the least.  But hey.  They don’t always give things to the ones who need it.

Evil Lusamine Real - This is another that I am all about.  If I get this, I’ve won.  Give me villain Lusamine.  It can be an AU thing, I don’t care, just something.

Kahili EX - Someone from Alola has to get EX, and I’m hoping for my girl.  It could be Nanu, given International Police focus, but Nanu doesn’t really need it.  Acerola could get it by popularity, but she won’t make any use of it.  Kahili, though?  Kahili EX would rule.

Lillie Alt - Free Space.  Lillie will get to six, rest assured.

Malva and Drasna - COME ON, WHERE MY DRASNA AT?  Assuming Alola is split between months, there’s an opening for the first half of May.  Do not fail me, DeNA.

Surprise Golden Week PokeFair - SS Morty, while technically associated with Alola VA, kinda came from nowhere in advance of it, and has little association with the event.  Shiny Ho-oh was really more a Golden Week surprise, and it’s possible they do similar.  Shiny Nihilego?  Shiny Stakataka?  Think about it.

Still No Ice Zone - There is only one outcome where Ice Zone happens, and it’s Lillie with Alolan Vulpix/Ninetales.  I don’t expect it.

Variety Scouts - The alternate, sadder outcome of Malva and Drasna.  Kanto Elite Four, part 1.  Lance and Agatha could happen instead.  I wouldn’t love it, but...it’s possible.

USUM Elio and Selene - Elio and Selene aren’t exactly popular, and it makes me wonder.  If they do get alts, will it be proper alts?  Or will it be their USUM forms?  Because I don’t know about you.  I like USUM Selene’s design a lot better.

Somehow No UBs - Alts.  No UB Alts.  We kick off Alola VA and there’s not a single UB alt yet.  It would be awful, but...possible.

All Is For Red - You know that stuff about SS Cynthia being an ideal PokeFair upgrade, and Lusamine getting a lot of focus as a Lodge unit?  Yeah, what if it’s just Red instead?  What if there is a Red alt?  What if Reddit’s right about Steven always being bait for Red?  What if he gets the Lodge?  What if SS Red gets the PokeFair upgrade?  What if I have to lead into the third month running of stuff I’m not happy about?

Special CS - Please be a monthly event, please be a monthly event, please be a monthly event

Casual Paulo - I initially called this “Oh Hai Paulo” but was worried that reference is too old.  The point is, Paulo just went evil on us, and I’m willing to bet that, just like how he showed up in the Kalos VA despite being kidnapped, the events of his interlude will not be mentioned nor referenced at all.

Lillie and Magearna - This feels like a slam dunk.  All of Lillie’s alts focus on Ghost and Fairy types.  That’s her specialty.  And would you look at that!  A pretty Fairy-type mythic legend that isn’t in the game yet!  Villain Arcs love legendary Pokemon!  I’ll bet you anything Lillie gets it.

Alola CS - I mean.  I feel like it’s been a long time.  And it fits.

3* Fairy Gear - Gear also alternates months, and next month is an on month.  We’re getting gear, and I’m betting Fairy, because I’m betting Lillie is the major focus like Diantha was, and Lillie and Magearna are going to be Fairy because Fleur Cannon, and thus Fairy gear.

The significant Bingos:

VA Successfully Predicted (Center Column).  All the Aether Fam get alts, and USUM Elio and Selene show up too.  This is me calling all the alts that appear.  We’ve only gotten at most five alts (if SS Morty counts as part of Johto), so this would hit all five.

Lusamine Sweep (Second Row).  This is an ideal outcome, but not one I expect.  Lusamine getting her Master Fair rerun is really, really dire, and I suspect that she won’t get anything if the event is the full month.  But.

Supreme Victory (Third Row).  There’s the chance the month is split.  In this scenario, Lillie shows, but the rest don’t yet.  The stalling of the VA is made possible by a surprise PokeFair for Golden Week, and the introduction of Malva and Drasna, who are now wildly overdue.  Because there’s a second part of the VA set for June, it means Lusamine’s master fair is ending, and she can pick up Nihilego after all.  All is right in the world.  All is at peace.

Absolute Despair (Fourth Row).  And then there’s the bad timeline.  The early month is just filled with Variety Scouts.  Kanto is the hard focus, and Red gets everything.  UBs aren’t mentioned, but we do get Selene and Elio with Zeraora and Magearna, leaving the Nihilego situation really dire as now Lillie could snipe it.  All is dust.  All is anxiety.

Yes, it is true! I am once again writing fanfic after a very long hiatus <3 the urge to make my favorites miserable has returned, and with it I am reopening requests. But not just any requests, no—

Alright, this upcoming week should be datamine. Here's the bingo board, because I am bored.

Psychic with Fast Ramp - We are two years running with the bait units being Psychic types with Fast-ramp. This feels very assured.

Victor Alt - Feels like a safe guess. Unless there's a wild swing from nowhere (PLEASE), it's Victor.

Paulo Playable - There will be at least one event outside of Galar VA, and the safest bet is Paulo Resolution. It's been a while since an OC got into the game, and Paulo is long overdue at this point. Feels very likely we see him added.

3* Flying Gear - We've gotten a new one every month lately, and I want that trend to continue. Do Flying next, cowards.

Legendary Gauntlet - Been a while. We were supposed to have one this month, but nope.

Variety Scouts - The worst possible outcome of whatever happens that isn't Galar VA.

No Select Scout - When did we last get a Select Scout? Masters is going the way of FEH. No guarantees, but here's some bullshit in a randomly assigned pick. Paid gems only. The game is getting worse about this.

Shadow Rider Calyrex - I feel this is very likely, at least on thematic focus. They tend to skew legends, and Shadow Rider Calyrex is a really cool option, because of Spectrier. I don't particularly care who gets it, so long as it's not Victor.

Nessa Dynamax - Like how Brendan got his mega, I think it's time for adding Dynamax retroactively. I realized after finalizing this that she's actually Gigantamax, but I'm not going back to fix it.

Peony Gaming - This is the wild swing. Bring Peony in to talk to Rose, let him be the second half of Galar VA. Just give me the olds. Peony, Opal, and Kabu. Please. I want this more than Gloria. I'll whale for it, DeNA, you can trust me.

Opal Time - Same as above, but more critical. Do you know how jarring it is to go through a Neo Champion event, where Hop and Marnie get to be close with the people most connected to them, and Bede's mentor isn't even in the fucking game? DeNA, fix this.

Hop Second Potion MPR - Grid expansion theory. Hop is going to be Sonia-esque. Patch up what she does that he can't. Double Potion MPR is the most critical aspect of this.

BAIT - I mean. Anniversary in September.

Leon Alt - Feels relatively safe, though please consider Peony.

Hoenn Appears Nonetheless - This goes hand in hand with Variety Scouts, and is at least likely. Maxie heralds further Hoenn focus. So far, we're 3 for 3 on the rerun Master Fair predicting the next set of alts. Will there be a fourth?

SS Leon Grid Expansion - The antithesis to Leon Alt. SS Leon really needs the expansion, just like Gloria. He's not...great.

Gloria alt - The single most likely outcome. Consider Peony.

Raihan Gigantamax - He'll be the PokeFair lodge rotation unit, because he gets Gigantamax.

SS Leon Rerun - Ties with 16. He's never been rerun. Almost 2 years.

Hop TM Barricade Buddies - This would be the swap. Sonia does speed, Hop does mixed bulk. I'd like to see it.

Corviknight - Fully expected. If we get 3* Flying Gear, it's guaranteed. Corviknight is a very popular Pokemon, and if Hop gets an alt, possibly even his Lodge alt (though I'd like Wooloo for that), Corviknight is destined.

When Drasna? - If we get another event, maybe it can be the Kalos E4 finally showing up. Sincerely, where the fuck?

Regidrago - In the Gloria/Victor/Leon timeline, this is the Regi I'd rather see. Eleki is less interesting, and we don't need Electric.

Caitlin Alt - The good outcome is that this happens in the style of a Dojo Gloria/SS Korrina event, just before anniversary. We know Caitlin sold well in her Halloween alt, DeNA. She's profitable, just do it. The worst outcome is Variety Scout.

Valerie EX - There are no Galar pairs lacking EX. It has to be a story mode pair. Please, DeNA. Please. My girl is suffering so badly, and you will not help her.

Tomorrow is the first real announcement of much in the Third Anniversary, and in anticipation of this, I figured out how to make a Bingo board, because my wife’s out of the house today and my arm hurts from playing Hades for three hours, so this is apparently what I’m doing instead.  Feel free to build your own and play along.  I’ll explain each square worth explaining.

The “BP [Character]” and “[Character] alt” squares are self-explanatory.  I am anticipating them as getting something here, or am just hoping for them to get something.  I did specify in two locations, with Palmer as a Master BP, and Red/Pikachu being the Master Fair of the event.  I also want to note, I fully expect the Third Anniversary units to be PokeFair, with one Master Fair later on, similar to the 2.5 anniversary structure.  I will eat that loss if I’m wrong.  Reruns are also obvious, I’m going to say there’s the possibility of Leon or the Anniversary Master Fair units if the anni units this time are PokeFair, while I fully expect base Cynthia to rerun.  Grid expansion and a character for the Lodge?  They almost have to, right?

I will say that, given the hint that it’s likely Champion focused, I’m expecting Cynthia and Leon for near-guarantees.  The last is a toss-up between Blue and my personal hope, Iris.  Iris deserves something, but they did find code for another Blue alt a while back alongside the N that became Summer N.  So I fully expect him to be first to 5 alts.

A lot of the BP stuff is just hopeful, or stuff I think we really need.  Poison Damage on an F2P budget would be nice, and I think Classic Giovanni means that we’re well past due for a Special Attack/Crit buffer in the F2P pool.  “But all the premium options-” I know, I’ve been arguing that myself, but Giovanni kinda fucks that up for everyone and I’m irritable about it and want someone more proficient no matter how ridiculous it is to accomplish.

Going top left to bottom right across each row:

EX Glacia!  Please.  She deserves it for all she’s suffered.

Awkward Legendary Unit is anything in the style of SS Korrina.  Why does she have Marshadow?  Because they couldn’t think of anything else to pair.  Even though she has Hawlucha.  They just compulsively have to slap Legendary Pokemon onto people.  Note this would not count in the event of, say, Cynthia and Arceus, which at least makes some sense.  I’m talking “What does Iris have to do with Kyurem White/Black?” or “Why did Leon get Shiny Zacian?”

Lodge Events Actually Good!  I think there’s a solid chance, but modes like this can worry me a bit.  The fact that it’s a small roster to start is a point in its favor.  It means they likely did individualize these stories, and there’s something to matter in them.  I mostly put this here because of FEH and it’s dumb “story mode” thing, where you partner two units together and have them do events, but there’s only like four cookie-cutter events with three randomized but very similar outcomes, and that’s supposed to be engaging somehow.

Regional Tickets Include Sinnoh E4!  There is a chance they don’t.  Darach showed up ages ago and is definitely added to that pool, but were the E4 long enough ago that they also make it in?  God, I really hope so.  I’m covered on my end, all of them are 3/5 now, but I think those units are really fantastic picks that people should have better access to.  And considering Sinnoh was just three people for the last year, having over a 50/50 shot for someone new is, I think, a better outcome.

New Scout Method for Old Pokefairs!  This ties into “Cynthia rerun.”  I fully expect Cynthia to rerun somehow, thanks to her grid upgrade.  At least, they better.  But the new scout method is based on a few things.  One, many on Reddit have called for demotion of old PokeFairs to the general pool.  Two, this will never happen, but they’re obviously not going to be top sellers when Cynthia’s upgrade doesn’t even out-damage SS Giovanni, much less Maxie, and is far more team reliant.  Three, new general pool additions weren’t profitable, and they made the paid gem tracks to boost sales, and even figured out shortened tracks for old Seasonal units for easy access.  I expect something like that, but for these older PokeFairs that never see reruns through Gauntlet, as a means of boosting their sales.  I’d sure appreciate it.

Paid Gem Select PokeFairs!  I mean, there’s no way there’s not.  They did it for New Years, and they did it for 2.5 Anniversary, they’re gonna have a paid 3-5k gem pull with a select PokeFair in the roster.  I think the only ones I’m missing now are SS Cynthia, Raihan, Marnie, and SS Leon.  Aside from the super recent ones.  So if we can get two of them to show, that’d be nice.

Electric Type Special Striker!  This can be of any variety, but I’m putting this here because (1) we could use a bit more Electric damage, and (2) the complaints against Electric-weak Aaron were like nothing else, and DeNA seems pretty tuned in to the fanbase.  They likely know a solution to that stage would sell.  Please, Jasmine and Amphy...

Galarian BP Units bears explaining a little.  The only F2P Galarian we have is Hop.  Sonia, Piers, Nessa, Bea, and Allister are the only general pool Galarian units.  That roster that’s now bigger than all of Kalos?  Every single one is limited availability, PokeFair or seasonal, with one Master Fair.  That’s obscene.  We need more F2P aligned Galar options, and the expansion of the BP shop is a good time to add a few picks.

Ice Zone and 3* Ice Gear.  This is me being presumptuous, but I think that Ice Zone might go next.  Ground Zone made sense, because oh boy are Ground types...still not great because of their rarity.  But I think Ice type is in a similarly hurt position.  Most of their multipliers are based on Hail, which is team restrictive, and more than any other weather thanks to not having a good Hail Support, or are based on Freeze, which is nigh-impossible to facilitate.  I am predicting, much like with 2.5 Anni introducing Flying Zone for Anni Steven, that we will see Ice Zone as a solution to a type that is struggling quite a lot.  And I base this on two possibilities.  One is the awkward Legendary partnership.  If it’s Iris, there’s a good chance of Kyurem’s fused form showing up, with the other going to Ghetsis in the villain arc.  This would be a very high chance for Ice Zone.  The other, however, is Cynthia.  While it’s anime-focused, and I do like to discount that when possible, I make an exception for the fact that she has Glaceon.  So I’m kinda taking an out there swing in assuming the possibility of Ice Zone.  But I base this on the additional long-shot hope of EX Glacia, and the 3* Gear being a boon to her as well.

We’ll see how it goes, but I won’t call it until after the datamine for next month in its entirety.  If it’s broken up with another expected halfway through the month, I won’t call until then.  But we’ll start checking off as of tomorrow’s announcement.

The year is coming to an end, and there’s now a ton of talk about hopes for gacha games in the upcoming year.  For Masters, this has largely been sync pairs and Master Fair options.  There’s also bingo boards but I can’t find a template, so I guess consider this my full breakdown of hopes for 2022.  I’ll go over a bunch of different categories, including new characters, alts, master fair predictions, possible BP or Legendary additions, and common grids.  Common grids are because even at 3 per month all year, we won’t get through all of them, and there’s no way it actually goes 3 per month.  I won’t be going into too much detail on each, but we all know I can’t shut up so this is gonna get long.

New Characters:

Bertha. My literal top pick in the entire series.  We so desperately need a Ground-type damage dealer, and I think with BDSP’s release, Bertha makes a lot of sense as an addition.  I’d like to see Sandstorm with Hippowdon, but could be flexible and go Rhyperior.  Ideally, I want damage, but I can accept her being support that meshes really well with Cynthia instead.  Though it’ll be hard to beat Ingo.

Drasna. Second pick.  I just want the older ladies in the game, really.  My ideal is Dragalge.  I feel like there’s no way to go wrong.  Premium Toxic/Trap staller would be my ideal, because I think it’d be hilarious to see how hard a premium stall unit could go, but there’s Poison damage we’re limited on, Dragon damage that’s rare in the general pool, etc.  She’s just a cool lady and I love her.

Looker.  I know it’s coming, just do it in January.  Please.  You said they were calling the international police, just...give me the Looker fix.  I almost don’t even care what you do with him.  But I’m kinda hoping support with Croagunk.  Fighting or Poison would be fantastic, but I have a game plan.

Anabel.  If she’s not with Looker, I’m gonna be a little upset.  I know it’s unlikely, but since her entire team is taken up by other options, I kinda want her with an Ultra Beast.  I think my ideal would be Naganadel.  If Looker does get a Poison-focused thing, it’s probably still support as Toxicroak/Croagunk.  Naganadel as the new Poison-type damage dealer would be super cool if it involved her.

Opal.  She’s the only Galar gym leader I really liked.  Alcremie is already taken, but I’m on board with Galarian Weezing.  Though it’s gonna be Alcremie again.  G-Max and all.

I was gonna keep this to five, but couldn’t resist the shot: Lucas, so his idiot fans who think he’s the real protagonist about to show up with a Master Fair Dialga can shut up as he gets handed Bidoof.  Dialga is too cool to get saddled with the inferior protagonist.

Seasonal alts:

Roxanne.  Ideal is New Years, but I want Golem.  She talks about how she always wanted to raise a Golem, and I want her to have that.  New Years could be cool with a firework theme, where it has Last Word and is high damage but low defense and sets itself up to sweep or boom.

Sabrina.  Specifically as Special Costume witch queen Bellelba.  Please.  I have such a need.  I don’t even care who she partners with (though Swoobat was the only real Pokemon she had, and I fucking love Swoobat) just...please.  For me.

Rosa.  Same deal, but as that princess from the movie.  Apparently her thing was Vanilluxe, and I am so 100% on board with that.  We could use more Ice types to do literally anything, and I actually have an affection for Vanilluxe.  Please game, that costume was so cute, and I’d really like to see it.

Darach.  If we’re getting a royalty themed thing, I feel like we desperately need my man Darach involved somewhere.  Give him Indeedee.  Make him a Psychic support that perfectly pairs with Caitlin’s forms.  I would literally kill someone for this.

Fantina.  Okay I know I keep bringing up like...special costume stuff, but I’m kinda hopeful for Contest-focused costumes.  Jasmine from BDSP would be gorgeous, I love her new dress, but Jasmine also feels really likely.  I want a Fantina alt with Frillish.  Just Frillish.  I feel like Frillish has all the right flair to be a perfect match to Fantina.  Plus an outfit based on Frillish’s design would be so cool.  Jellicent would likely just look goofy.

I was going to keep this to five, but honestly now I kinda want a Liza alt for Halloween with Malamar, because I think that’d be a super cool costume design.

Sygna Suits:

Caitlin.  Specifically with Gothitelle.  That’s like her most well known, it still surprises me that she got Reuniclus first, but I feel like that was in anticipation of her ace being used in an alt down the line for a popular pick, like how Grimsley had Bisharp in his back pocket.  It just feels inevitable, and I really, really want to see what kind of outfit they’d give her.  The Halloween alt already confessed she likes a dark, gothic flair in her wardrobe.  Show me the forbidden Goth Caitlin.  I mean I guess they kinda already did but do it again.

Kris.  Dead serious.  I really like Kris now.  The obvious is Suicune, though I’ve seen Lugia and Celebi thrown out, all of which would be interesting.  Really, I’m fine with almost any pick they could come up with.  I just want a Kris alt, and I think a Sygna Suit would be really nice.

Korrina.  Specifically with Hawlucha.  I think it’d be a really fun one, and god does Kalos need the general pool additions.  I also think it’d be really fun to translate Flying Press into the game.  A unit that’s super-effective against two different types?  That could be cool.

Jasmine.  I know it’s a bit unlikely, but I kinda want to see her and Amphy.  I’m not the biggest fan of electric-type leaders in general in the series, so I would not mind her taking Mega Ampharos based on Amphy at the lighthouse.  This may be more of a seasonal thing, like maybe the costume, but I’ll also take Magnezone.  I just think a sygna suit based on Ampharos’ evolution line would be pretty.

Valerie.  I want her and Mega Mawile in here, that would be so cool.  Please.  Just a heavy damage dealer, Fairy type to the general pool, she’d be so good.  Plus her odd aesthetic with Mawile’s design would be 10/10.

Master Fair Predictions:

Cynthia.  Inevitable.  Like, I don’t know why they held off instead of going with the BDSP release, but this feels super inevitable.  We have the other two really popular champions as Master Fair units.  The big question is who she gets, and I’m going to guess Giratina.  Because it’d be a really cool pick.  I kinda anticipate this as the 2.5 anniversary. 

Iris.  Speaking of popular champions, Iris.  Feel like this one is fairly guaranteed as well, despite already having her Champion attire.  I feel like this would double as a Sygna Suit, like with Lusamine.  The main difficulty is who she’d get.  She’s a Dragon-type, but...well, the major three are accounted for, and Ghetsis is almost certain to get Kyurem-Black or White in his powerup.  She could get the other, but I don’t think that’s likely.  I think she’d either go outside of the region, or get a non-Legend.  Which would be nice.  Not everything needs to be a legend.

Lysandre.  I can’t...really see anyone else getting Zygarde, frankly.  It just feels right, like somehow this is going to be the climax of his villain arc is him partnering with it, and that’ll be his new Master Fair unit.  Frankly, it’s exactly what I want.  I’m so all-in for Masters-centric Gen 6 stuff, you have no idea.  I’m going to say this will be the equivalent to Maxie and Archie.

Red.  Look, I’m just surprised they put it off this long.  I don’t really want a Master Fair Red, but I feel like it’s a guarantee at this point.  I’m guessing Pikachu.  It’s like.  The only one he has left, since we’re already getting two Lapras when Melony drops, and everything else on his team is covered by the SS Kanto Trio.  My guess is this will be the 3 year anniversary thing, around the same time as Lillie/N/Steven get rerun.

Common Grids:

Roxanne.  I know she’s on here twice, but I love Roxanne so much.  She has so much to gain just from MPR, and if she gets Crit Squad it’s over.  Please let it be over.  Break the game.

Cheryl.  MPR on a heal move that boosts defenses is tremendous, and I just want the best for Cheryl.  I love her.

Winona.  I’m so excited about Winona.  I actually love her moveset, I think she’s an absolute force in terms of what she does.  MPR rain is already great, but she has serious utility with flinch and confuse, and a super powerful move in Hurricane, and honestly solid buff options.  I really want to see what they’d give her.

Liza.  I’m sorry this is so Hoenn dominant, but like...all the really exciting support options are Hoenn commons so like...I want this one too.  She could be so good.

Valerie.  I know she’s story, but I’m counting it.  God does she need a grid.  She’s so...not good right now.

Legendary Events:

Rowan and Mesprit.  I’d actually love the Mesprit and Rowan combo.  I think it’d be fun considering Oak got Mew.  Honestly, professors getting a mythic of their region makes a lot of sense broadly, but I think Rowan makes more sense with Mesprit just...given what the focus is in Platinum.  Though if they wanted to give this to Dawn I wouldn’t complain.

Burnet and Xurkitree.  Hear me out.  Burnet is a cool lady, who also studied the whole ultra space thing, and I think it’d be cool to suddenly get a free unit with her as the focus.  I’m not sure which UB is best, but I’m going Xurkitree on the grounds that it’s a less preferred option so I wouldn’t be too sad, and I think we could stand to gain from an Electric-type damage dealer being handed out for free.

Magnolia and Spectrier.  Just Spectrier.  Look, I get that Sonia’s the professor in this story and blah blah blah.  That’s bullshit, though.  They had a cool old lady professor for the first time, and completely sidelined her for her undergrad college granddaughter.  Fuck.  That.  I want Magnolia to get something, and that something should be Spectrier.  Because Spectrier is cool as hell, and we need a free Ghost-type.  If they really, REALLY need to make it Sonia, I would cave for the cooler horse.  But I really want Magnolia.

BP Ticket Additions:

Cheryl.  I specifically want Wailord, due to her Center conversation about it.  But I also kinda want Porygon-2 as an option, but really I just want more Cheryl.

Viola.  I think she and Vivillon would make a solid BP pair.  Especially if she were a Tech unit.  It doesn’t conflict too much with most bug-types we have in the premium pool, and offers a freely available bug-type damage dealer, which is nice.

Acerola.  I haven’t thought enough about who I’d want her to partner with, but I think it’d be nice to have a BP version of her with a different ghost.

Cheren.  For my wife.  I’d want to see Watchog here.  I like Cinccino a lot, and I’d like him or Juniper to get Cinccino as a more premium choice.  Besides, I like Watchog.

Hop.  I feel like it’s very unlikely to have a Hop alt that goes backward to a normal Pokemon after the Legendary event, but I could easily see them giving him Dubwool as a BP pair.

BP Master Pair Addition:

Leon and Dragapult.  There is no strict requirement for them to be legendary.  There’s also not really a requirement to be Battle Facility focused, but so far that seems to be the emphasis outside of the MU.  Given how much they seem to like the guy, and that he’s kinda already a Master Fair, PokeFair, and Seasonal...I’m betting this will be the next category.  He’s too popular to make a general pool option.  Like Cynthia and Steven, he’ll always be limited in some regard.  But I’d be willing to bet Master BP is considered limited enough.  That said, he’d be the second out.  The first three weren’t that great, so I anticipate at least one other to set up people taking the alternative.

Palmer and Regigigas.  He seems to be the most popular option people want made available from the battle facilities.  And depending on how they structured him, he could be ridiculously good.  If he showed up as a clear winner among the Master BP pairs, people might take their pull for him...and then later on they drop Leon.  Maybe I’m thinking too much like FEH, where the goal is to constantly bust everyone’s balls and make life a living hell of immediately turning things irrelevant...but it seems likely to me.
