Thank you for all your kudos on my twst fics :)
I'm just happy to have found such an amazing TWST author! A piece well done like yours deserves all the kudos it gets and more. And hey, I don't leave comments all that often, but I guarantee on my rereads I will go more in depth on how much I enjoy your work, just you wait ;) Thank you for putting your heart into your fics and letting the world enjoy them. I haven't read your Demon Slayer stuff yet, but as I keep going through your content I'll be sure to check it out, too.
It's really cool how you personally took time out of your day to go find me and leave a thanks in my inbox. That's a degree of effort many don't even consider. Thank you so much, I hope to see more of you for some time yet (^w^)

God, this is so me. I cringe so hard remembering the first time I tried to pronounce lingerie out loud they were so confused. I first sounded it out like "linger-ee" and the other guy gave me a blank look before saying, "You mean 'lawnjureh'??" And we both died on the spot. From different reasons.

Somehow it's these stupid mini Frenchie loser goobers that get me outta my drawing funk. Might not want to draw them while hungry, tho. I swear all I could think of was how squishy they'd be between my teeth. Not to bite down hard enough to hurt, mind you, but like gently and repetitively nomming a stress ball.
Thanks to @r-aindr0p for these little skrunkly guys. Da whittle babie boos

I'd like to wholeheartedly, sincerely, humbly, kneeling with my face in the dirt, thank the Player who busted out a Lv. 81 Tropical Wear Lilia as their support card for the Stitch's Tropical Turbulence event. Whoever you are, you are a Saint, and you have my utmost gratitude. You single-handedly are helping me rake in so much loot, completing my "Extra Rewards" team for the event's book 5. You did not have to lend such an angelic, selfless helping hand for this, but you did, and I cannot thank you enough. Next year, I will pay this kindness forward by making my SSR Tropical Wear Floyd the best he can be and offering him as my support card for every wayward player by the time the event comes around again.

Mermay contribution! Never done anything like that online yet, but there's a first for everything. This creature is what I imagined would happen if a Slayer in their Shrike armor transformed into a mercreature that listed human features as (optional).
If you have no idea what I'm talking about, don't worry! A Shrike is a monster (aka: Behemoth) from an online rpg (I really hope I'm getting my video game terms right) called "Dauntless". You play as a Slayer in the Shattered Isles, a frontier of landmasses afloat in the atmosphere. You need to slay Behemoths, monsters that feed on Aether, which is powerful energy that keeps the islands together. If left unchecked, Behemoths would eventually consume the world. Every Behemoth you successfully slay will drop parts unique to their species, which you can use to craft armor and weapons.
I'm very fond of the Shrike, so I drew a Mer Shrike with some Shrike armor elements.
(If you're wondering about the medium, its a sandwich wrap paper and whatever pens I found lying around. Work was reeeeaaaallly slow that day lmao)

Don't mind me, just letting everyone and my grandma know how proud I am of this piece, even if it's just a thought-out but unofficial Overblot form for my OC, Fragilehyena (or Sky Slayer).
I'm legit just messing around with several concepts for what could happen, how it would look, why it would look, and if you gave me permission, I'd yap like no tomorrow, sending a WALL of text including all my thoughts for every detail.
See, I'm not the best artist, so some of the aspects I'm trying to convey here need clarification (see: The glass blot jar in the Hand's palm and the ring surrounding it). But that doesn't stop me from being so, so happy with how it turned out.

Behold! My OC! Ain't she adorable? Ah, don't consider this an official character sheet or anything, these are just sketches from memory with little to no references used. She is, in a few words, an original character born of the Slayer avatar I play as in Dauntless.
The gamertag is Fragilehyena, which I headcanon as her actual name in the Dauntless universe. In other universes, other stories, she goes by "Sky Slayer", as a homage to her origins.

*devours this post ravenously* (affectionate)
Nonhuman expressions of affection are great. Purring. Exposing weak points as a show of trust. Head bonks. Preening and chewing. Nuzzling. Biting. Intertwining tails. Feeding each other. Little chuffs, chatters, beeps and squeaks. Fluffing up of feathers, fur or other things. Dancing to impress. Cleaning their fur, scales, feathers or skin. Sharing body heat. Ears pointing toward those you care about to show your full attention is on them. Slow blinking.

One of these days I will sweep through my reblogs and tag every one so I can search through the tags for specific stuff, rn it feels like I'm walking through the isles and shoving everything that catches my eye in the bag and the inside is a disorganized, random MESS.
If you see this and know Tumblr Dos and Don'ts, is it frowned upon to tag reblogs whatever the heck you want? Even if it's a tag that's already on the original post, but adding it to the reblog to help with personal bog post organization.

Dauntless Drabble I Found In My Google Docs
The hunt was her life. It was everything. It ensured the Shattered Isles lived to thrive another day without fear of collapsing for good. Fragilehyena dedicated her life to being a Slayer despite it being one of the most dangerous professions she could’ve chosen. As the sun beat down on the back of her neck and her lungs heaved the air saturated with the stench of ancient forests, she threw herself to the side. A thorn-covered tail the width of a tree trunk phased though her with enough force to shatter boulders. But the split second of invulnerability saved her that fate. As the tail continued its path, the body attached to it sank its claws into the earth for purchase against the momentum’s force. Its head, stationary at the moment as it executed its tail attack, didn’t bother to hold back its near silent hiss of frustration at the miss.
Because she wasn’t blown back, she needed no recovery time before launching herself at the Behemoth’s head, proud antlers of dark teal branches with tips glowing of Aetheric power jutting from the mane of fur at its brow. As she slashed her sword with all the force she could muster, landing blow after blow, she had two thoughts on her mind. The first, she needed the Behemoth’s antlers and vinetooth broken from the head. The second, deal as much damage as possible while taking very little in turn. Focus on the head. Do not hold back. This island was not known for easy prey, only Slayers with recommended maximum skill were allowed to embark for valid reasons.
Even Fragilehyena, who was no stranger to her weapons, could not defeat any of the island’s Behemoths on her own. She followed the flow of the current hunting party already occupying it, contributing her skill to the pool and slaying each beast all that much faster. There was one purpose for her venture here, and that was to summon the bird of metal and flame. Its arrival was preceded by a flock of Shrikes, which she prioritized hunting for their Soulshards, a rare drop. Unfortunately, that summoning was an event that required the opening of valves scattered around the island. They couldn’t be opened without slaying the Behemoths guarding them.
Yet no matter how many hits she landed on the Behemoth, it would not die. Its health still pulsed strongly in its body despite the Danger Level reaching critical status. It was too late. A minute into the battle with the danger already so high, even the entire party on the island couldn’t defeat the Behemoth in time. A final swipe of its tail, this time landing square on Fragile’s chest to knock her several meters back, led to the Behemoth staring at the struggling team of Slayers one last time before drawing back like a bowstring and flying underground like a shot through a tangle of thorny vines. While Fragile stumbled to her feet, pain fading with a few powerful throbs, the tunnel of thorns disintegrated into Aether and mulch, leaving nothing but a patch of disturbed dirt as testament that a Behemoth was ever there.
While not the first failed hunt, it always stung just as badly. To put forth the effort and time to slay a great foe only for those tears and blood shed to be all for nothing? After a Behemoth escaped, there was no reward. No Rams, as little per slaying as they were. No parts, since the Behemoth lived. No recovering the health and items lost for that battle, nothing to make the sacrifice of resources worth it. The collective embarrassment shared among the party. ‘All my efforts to be a cool, experienced Slayer only to make a fool of myself? We hardly know each other, but my failure is a blemish for everyone to see.’
That Koshai was far from the first of its kind to be slain by Fragilehyena’s hand, so its escape made the salt in her wounded pride hurt all the more. The negative feelings only lingered long enough for Fragile to find and confront the next Behemoth. A Scorchstone Hellion bellowed, hard molten plates rippling in harsh scrapes along its back as its haunting yellow eyes seared into her own with their glow. Only one more valve to open before the fire bird could be summoned. She had to make this one count.

are you a fellow Dauntless Fan? loved the mershrike art BTW.
Yes, I love Dauntless and have played it for a little over a year now, enough to participate in last year's Unseen missions during Halloween at least!
Am I crazy for filling my head with a bunch of headcanons to explain the mechanics of the game and worldbuilding should they be translated to a story format? Or is thinking that Slayers using their gamer tags as their actual names in their world being normal totally out of pocket?
I'm glad you liked the art, thank you. 😊
Might consider dumping more interpretation lore for Dauntless later, if you wanna stick around long enough for that haha

These images in this specific angle give me the compelling urge to sweet kiss the rim of that cup all gentle and romantic as I break the surface tension to slurp juuuuust enough water to reduce the spill risk so I can carry it. It's a very strong urge.
god im so fucking thirsty

Hello yes, I’ve heard about this “Tumblr” site everyone’s going on about. Watching from the shadows by only following links from my favorite author’s plug-ins has gone on long enough and I’m finally taking the leap! Yes, I have no idea how to navigate this site, yes, I’m going to struggle for awhile and probably make a fool of myself. Am I plugging in my Ao3 account because it’s the only thing tying me to Tumblr at the moment? Also yes! Let’s see how this goes...

This captures my sentiments perfectly. I'm tired of seeing art of my favorite characters holding political signs or connected to speech bubbles proclaiming some real world issue and the author's/artist's opinion on it. Is it so hard to just.... Not do that? I participate in fandom to enjoy a reality that isn't my own. Now, I'll accept stories or art with subtle thematic elements similar to real life issues, it adds depth. But pasting a cutout copy of a character in media clearly taking a side in a debate/situation that has nothing to do with the world the character comes from, aka our world, is tasteless.
I am actually begging some people to just let some spaces exist untouched by real-world issues and horrors.
Like I've lost count of the amount of times peaceful game or fandom servers have been ruined by people stampeding in with political rants, bitching about world issues, demanding internal activism, demanding vent channels so they can whine about their shitty parents, ect.
Like. Respectfully. Not every single space has to be inclusive of and welcoming of outside topics. The real world sucks. We don't needed to be reminded of that absolutely everywhere.
