a / n; i go completely crazy when it comes to combining my interests. and pokemon is one of them . i have. i have so many things .IT'S NOT NECESSARILY GYM LEADER STUFF THAOYDHAHD these are all over the place sorru i took some of these from my 3am screamimgs

natsume is originally from the unova region but moved to alola with his mother for business reasons. they still have their fortune telling thing going on, but this time they employ the help of psychic pokemon as well.

his mother has a hypno, and instead of two cats they have an umbreon and an espeon. they're just like. weird housecats. not for fighting. just for petting. and sometimes they help with fortune telling.

natsume's team: i latched onto entries.

mismagius: "it chants incantations. while they usually torment targets, some chants bring happiness." (x & y) natsume's speech is precisely to throw people off. they're literally meant to be. my headcanon is that that was his first pokemon!!

zoroark: "each has the ability to fool a large group of people simultaneously. they protect their lair with illusory scenery." (x & y) and actually not bc it's one of my favourites. natsume bamboozles ppl frequently.

musharna: "the mist emanating from their foreheads is packed with the dreams of people and pokémon." (black & white)

rotom: "its body is composed of plasma. it is known to infiltrate electronic devices and wreak havoc." (diamond & pearl) rememeber the whole "kidnapping alkaloid and forcing them to play your ssvr game"? i think that would be easy with a rotom.

chandelure: "this pokémon haunts dilapidated mansions. it sways its arms to hypnotize opponents with the ominous dancing of its flames." (sword & shield) headcanon that he caught his chandelure in tsumugi's house.

alolan raichu: "it unleashes electric shocks that can reach 100,000 volts. when agitated, it can knock out even an indian elephant." (sun) apparently indian elephants exist in pokemon. but alolan raichu is so switchcore..

his battle theme would be something like yo dj pump this party! it sounds really switch-y okay. it sounds kinda electric if you know what i'm talking about.

i'm thinking he'd do something like the shinsekai or contrarian magician for a pose since that's his signature. and also a sore loser. tries to be smooth but speaks through grit teeth. something like "next time i'll make you never want to fight agAIN."

when he wins he gets kinda arrogant. a la, "it's just like the future foreTOLD—don't look so dejected, yeAH?", wears the classic natsume smirk. he's nasty about it but will help you to the pokémon center if you need it.

he's super stacked on berries and potions and effects and always happy to lend some, because his mom makes a metric ton, but he doesn't use them himself. he wants to beat people with raw power and strategy. he uses other items to amplify skills though, he likes the stones for example—switching between ghostium z and psychium z! or even just a dry stone or a damp stone if he's feeling effect to annoy his enemies.

not home very often. this time instead of holing himself up in the secret room he's practicing with his pokemon outside. his dream is to join the elite 4. and make it elite 5, if you know what i mean. that would be the eccentrics.

he's sora's neighbour. and sora is a small kid that dresses like a helioptile—they established themselves as team switch (like team rocket!) because sora wanted to help natsume fulfill his goal if he taught him how to talk to pokemon like he does.

tsumugi works at a prominent library owned by his parents, and he's the guy who gets team switch wired into all the championships and professional fights through his connections. so they count him as part of team switch too, even though he's usually just chilling outside of the fighting ring with his swablu!

more cute stuff: natsume's zoroark can lead conversation! you know how that one zoroark turned into nurse joy and spoke? yup. just like that, natsume taught it a couple words. they talk sometimes, but most conversation is non-verbal because they're very in sync. i'm just thinking of natsume napping under a tree with it. <3

he's frequently called to tsumugi's house for a deep cleaning of ghost-types. their house is very old and they tend to swarm to it—one night, tsumugi called him over because the light kept flicking on and off in his kitchen—turns out it was a chandelure playing with the chandelier lights.

his mother's hypno is very popular, despite the bad rep it has in other places! they like to take it on walks through the city and bless people's dreams at night.

their umbreon is worse than every cat because not only does it tip over all the vases and pots but it can also false swipe you. natsume had to stick all the fragile things in place so it wouldn't destroy everything. espeon in turn is a very peaceful pokemon that likes to chill in whatever bed it finds! joins natsume on his training rounds sometimes, and helps him by being his combatant if sora isn't there to help out.

favourite place is probably in the proximitry of tapu lele! because of it's healing aura/scales. he finds that relaxing and he can go on with his practice for longer since it keeps him energized—very practical—sometimes it drops a scale for him on purpose because he's a frequent visitor. he knows not to get too close or on it's nerves, though.

Hot take: Kanata with a kyogre

HOT AND GOOD!! kanata is probably popular amongst water pokemon. kyogre has to come see the brilliant kanata who successfully befriended half of the entire ocean <3 imagine you see this one guy and he looks like an easy opponent bc he's slow and looks airheaded but then he throws out kyogre <\3

If we were to give Kaoru water types (he’s part of marine bio club and he likes marine sports) I would also give him a Milotic and Vaporeon to balance things out with the fire types! Also that weird heart-shaped fish pokemon because Kaoru is very affectionate

kaoru has lots of pokemon wowow! the more the better, he can switch some out whenever he wants tooo.

MILOTIC IS. amazing. a classmate lent me his nintendo at school and he had milotic and it's actually so strong?? it fits kaoru's style a lot too, it's a fashionista pokemon yanno?? i don't even need to say anything about vaporeon because it's THE pokemon. also fits kaoru well <3

luvdisc is cute fight me.. maybe he keeps one in a tank. lovely heart disc <3 (listen.. angst.. this is kind of sad but what if it's his mothers luvdisc and he keeps taking care of it)

Vulpix, Flareon, and Braixen for Kaoru! Plus I thought Flareon looked like him too, for his final pokemon I thought he could have an alolan raichu as well because I remember watching an episode with one eating pancakes, and Kaoru’s fave food is pancakes ^^

uuuuu, y'all like the kaoru fire-type thingy!! alolan raichu would help him overcome that hard water-weakness, but if it dies this man is basically lost against water opponents <\3 BUT it's still an adorable team who cares, they can all go eat some pancakes together <3

has anyone said plusle and minun for hinata and yuta respectively? also i think jun would have a luxray and koga would have a lycanroc solely for design reasons (+ lycranroc is supposed to be a wolf and the rock part in lycanrocs name + its type fits kogas music tastes lmao) ...a mightyena for jun too since its a hyena.

koga has the whole dog pokedex. it's canon. from snubbull to lycanroc, he has them at his house. DOG PARTY. it prolly smells like dog around the whole neighbourhood

omg zorua is your fav pokemon too? yeeeeeeeees o(*°▽°*)o i was being totally self indulgent by giving natsume a zorua but come onnn they're so cute! and the moment it evolves into zoroark he's going to be invincible hehe what others pokemon do you see natsume with? <33

it's like we share one braincell <3 zorua and zoroark are adorable imo,, zoroark is a bit of a glass canon but give it a good moveset and it'll one-hit, i love it

i alrd said this in the last post before i saw this help BUT,,, zorua, mismagius, frosslass, lopunny or the new bunny starter,, they're all kind of magical and a little mysterious, they're perfect for him qwp

*kicks the door open* I GOT IT- GIVE NATSUME A MISMAGIUS!! That ghost type gives me such magician vibes, maybe a Lopunny too since rabbits are usually associated with magicians. I feel like I should give Hokuto an Empoleon- idk why, I just get serious vibes from it

hokuto deserves an empoleon. it's a great pokemon can confirm i have it on a team!! he also needs a krabby bc of that card. kingler is op hokuto is unbeatable

FIGHT ME, I'M GIVING RITSU A MUSHARNA AND DROWZEE and maybe some ghost or psychic types like espurr (it's cuddly that's why), Shuppet, and Lunatone!

musharna has my irl and i bang our heads against the table everytime. ritsu would be the most annoying on the battlefield. oh you wanna sweep? sike bro you're going to SLEEP. GOODNIGHT

to fill the sixth spot on the team, he's gotta have a salandit.. they just give me ritsu vibes and fits with his teams motif of being annoying, and he can use it as an attacker, since the other ones are mostly for playing around with conditions and stats

While we're talking about pokestars, I actually have a female gardevoir on my team in sword! My younger brother's the one who caught her for me because I was worried she would retreat back into her den lol, when I progressed further into the game, I caught another Ralts (a male) and I wanted him to evolve into a Gallade, but I got a guy Gardevoir so I was sad 🤣🥺

uuuuu!! gardevoir is a great pokemon, too!! i think they have a preeetty high catch rate, though, so next time, you won't have to worry! my friend caught his ralts on full hp.

but to evolve it, i think you need to just give it a dawn stone. did they change it in sword? i dunno anything about sword and shield help,,, but,, just try and try until you get it!

now i remembered i wanted gardevoir or gallade on ultramoon too.. aghrbs island scan is so UGHHWBD you miss a day and then you have to wait a week to try again <\3 but i already have snivy so.. 💪

i have a couple ideas for ryuseitai in the pokéstars au so hello✨

Tetora would DEFINITELY have an Incineroar,, it's a tiger and it's manly, it fits perfectly, doesn't it?

Shinobu would have a Froakie or one of its evolutions for obvious reasons

Kanata would have a Primarina, i don't have any proof but i don't have any doubts either

Chiaki would probably have an Arcanine bc same vibes (kind of), but also consider: a Ralts. Ralts's pokédex entries usually say Ralts likes cheerful/positive people and what is Chiaki if not cheerful/positive?

idk what Pokémon Midori would have so oof, if i ever remember a pkmn that fits him i'll send an ask saying the name of the pkmn and why it fits him!! if that doesn't bother you, of course~

your reasoning for chiaki with a ralts . oh my god. YES. they'll be bffs. ralts and arcanine cover eachothers weaknesses to some extent i think?? they'd make a good offensive team

i thought about midori a little.. and then. petilil and bounsweet. they look a little like vegetables or fruits or berries don't they?? i think plant pokemon would suit him well in general since he carries vegetables with him andbsbdb

I- I gotta see Tori with fairy types! He's such a spoiled kid, he would probably use Furfrou as well, maybe even a Jigglypuff because I know how pouty it can get when you don't pay attention to its singing (hey jigglypuff it's your fault that you lull other trainers into sleep). For Tsukasa, I was thinking of Bisharp, Alcremie (his love of sweets), a Zacian since it's both steel and fairy, then Corviknight!

TORI A FAIRY TRAINER?!? definitely. he even looks like a jigglypuff. oh!! blissey looks like something he would enjoy too, and eevee/sylveon is so iconic it's a must,, and marill!! marill too

i can't comment much on your picks for tsukasa bc i've only played up to ultramoon, but they suit his knight-motif for sure! and his love for sweets.. so cute!! i just gave him a little pichu in the drawing bc they're baby (actually.. bisharp.. i know it ANDN. it one-hit my friends stamina mudsdale and i cried when i saw it on battle-tree..)

I'm giving Kaoru a Litten because that's the only tiger-like pokemon I know, I think Koga can do with a Lycanroc or an Absol. Rei would have dark or ghost types such as Umbreon or Chandelure. For Adonis, I honestly have no clue XD
