re: pokémon reserves
Rosa’s desire to establish pokémon preserves in Unova stems from her exposure to the horrors of poaching during her journey. While she was dating undercover INTERPOL agent Hale Foster (alias Nick Venner), he took advantage of her sense of justice and strength as a trainer and subtly enlisted her help to accomplish some of his assignments. The most notable one included the apprehension of a group of poachers in the Moor of Icirrus.
Hale masked the outing as a training date in the Moor, where they “just so happened” to stumble onto the poachers late in the evening. Together, he and Rosa dispatched the poachers and then struggled to calm down a massively aggressive Drapion that had been provoked by the poachers. The two of them rounded up all the surviving pokémon, painstakingly buried the remains of the pokémon that didn’t make it, and informed the authorities (at which point Hale almost had his cover blown by a colleague, but Rosa didn’t connect the dots at the time).
Rosa was badly shaken by the experience and had nightmares reliving what she’d seen for weeks following. At one point, she decided that she would do whatever she could to keep people from hurting pokémon that way ever again, though at that time she wasn’t really sure what she COULD do as an average trainer. A year or so later when she became Unova’s champion, she realized that she now had the power and influence to accomplish things that mattered to her and this was first on her list.
With backing from the League, she used most of her winnings and her income as an actress accumulated during her first year as Champion to establish her first reserve at the Moor. The process included hiring rangers to patrol the area, prevent poaching while encouraging capture by licensed trainers, and monitor the pokémon in the area. Rosa had very thorough background checks performed on every candidate and even interviewed every one of them herself to ensure they were the right people for the job. Her current team is one that she trusts wholeheartedly.
Once her work with the Moor proved to be a success, she moved on to do the same with another region of Unova susceptible to poaching, White Forest. The forest brought along with it a different challenge, though, as it is mostly inhabited by younger pokémon. In addition to her team of rangers, she hired a pair of former daycare workers to care for the younger pokémon in the least intrusive way possible, and who are instructed to only interfere when it’s absolutely necessary.
Despite her fairly busy schedule, Rosa always makes time to visit both reserves every couple of weeks and is personally on call for any emergencies or strange happenings. While maintaining both sites and combating the increasing poacher activity in Unova has been challenging, the immense support the reserves received during the Ball of Hearts charity event promises a bright future for both the cause and the pokémon involved.

Time for a bear Pokémon.
Spechear ghost fighting base stats. Hp 130 attack 120 defense 120 sp attack 60 sp defense 100 speed 30 ability pressure/intimidate
Spechear is the mascot of the Chican Spechears. A powerful Pokémon physical. It is known for is powerful swings with its right hand. It is a fantastic Pokémon for baseball. However it’s speed is very lacking, causing it to never be able to get points outside of home runs. It’s rivals with Cardanil. They maybe slow, but it’s incredibly durable. It’s ghostly aura allows it to float and levitate nearby objects. It can throw a ball over 120 miles per hour. It’s also able to catch balls being thrown at that speed as well, but only if it’s in arm reach. It’s reactions maybe fast, but it’s legs aren’t. It specializes in catching and pitching.
Sorry for the wait on this one. Took much longer to make the notes for this one. Gotta give thanks to my mom for the baseball knowledge I needed

Headcannon: Pokémon are sentient, but it mostly depends on the Pokémon. A highly intelligent psychic type, yes. Simple Magikarp that can’t even figure out what it is, no. However all Pokémon are intelligent enough to be considered intelligent life, but not a single Pokémon has what we could consider sapience at the moment. Legendaries, mythicals, and extremely long living Pokémon are the only exceptions. They are equal in awareness to humans, and will only obey humans who have proven their worth by catching them or earning their trust. When a Pokémon gets caught, it is often seen as proving the human is worthy of training the Pokémon. There are exceptions however.
during an interview, game freak was asked if pokemon are sentient and this was their answer

Ok. I’m gonna add a bit of world building and clarification for this blog. Basically what events are canon from the games and what aren’t. Also my own interpretations of events. I will warn that one of these is extremely dark and can cause some people to get triggered. Not all of these events are at all important to the blog’s story (cause I have decided to make one for it) but all of them do happen in this universe. It is an explanation to why some characters in the games will just never appear in this.
Canon games (every single event from these games are canon)
Firered/leafgreen. Heartgold/soulsilver. Platinum. Black/white. black2/white2. X/Y. Sun/moon. Colosseum and XD gales of darkness.
Loose canon games (the base events happen, but some things change to fit the story)
Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire (delta Episode is where the change happens. And this is the dark one) Sword/Shield. Legends arceus.
Changed events
Omega ruby and alpha sapphire. In this universe Aster was the name of Zinnia’s child who passed away (won’t go over how cause didn’t want to think on how) after this she only really lived to pass on her knowledge and to save the world if the events from the prophecy come to pass. After May catches Rayquaza and heads into space. Zinnia decided to live on simply to try and forgive herself. (Like I said. Dark.)
In sword and shield. Mega evolution exists but is against the regions culture. By the end of sword and shield’s dlc Gloria starts to understand why and believes until a new method is discovered it shouldn’t leave kalos or hoenn.
Legends arceus. Full on. This game takes place 5 thousand years in the past. I can’t see how people and Pokémon would work together in a war then forget that no matter the timeline. If they were close enough to do so at one point, they shouldn’t be fearing pokemon only 100 years prior to the other games. Other than that. Ingo, and Rei are sent back into their own time. Everyone takes a picture for them to take with them and they still have it to this day. Also ingo has the last hisuain sneasle.
Non canon games. (These events don’t happen at all)
Let’s go. Simply because I can’t have them exist in the same universe as firered and leafgreen.
Ultra sun and ultra moon. While these games did happen. They have no impact on this timeline because I prefer sun and moon’s story.
Almost every single spin off game. If it makes no sense for the main universe I can’t add them in. Sorry mystery dungeon fans.
I will eventually make a list of the protagonists for each region. Also since Scarlet/Violet isn’t out yet. I can’t say if they are canon yet or not.

Just spreading the knowledge
Could you elaborate about Shuppet helping with mental health recovery?
Shuppet eat negative emotional energy. Jealousy, anger, sadness, fear, the likes. Each has a specific taste, and a shuppet who enjoys that flavour will be drawn to someone who has a lot of those feelings.
An individual suffering with any number of conditions would benefit from having one around.
They do not cure you, nor eradicate the issue entirely, that is something only you can do. They do however reduce symptoms, and make living with conditions far easier.
Stuff like anxiety, depression, PTSD, and so on, all can come with some hefty hurdles, with a shuppet, those hurdles are less daunting, and more manageable. Many patients who adopt one for recovery express their love for the mons pretty quickly too. Not only do they have obvious beneficial hungers for bad feelings, but they can be great companions, something people often need. Isolation is a common issue with some mental health issues, so having a little buddy who hardly needs anything to be happy, is pretty great!
I could go on and on, but that sums it up.

Ottuwa’s legendary trio. Trio of concepts
Appacion. Type. Steel poison. Base stats: HP 50 attack 200 defense 50 sp attack 200 sp defense 50 speed 130. Unique ability pure destruction. When it enters battle a unique weather is put on, this weather will do 1/8th of the opposite side’s hp pure turn. Unique move. Apocalypse ray, type steel. attack power 150 accuracy 80. Effect. This move, when hit, will do damage equal to the user’s attack stat while the opponent’s defense would be halved. This move will require a recharge turn after use. This move also will always do neutral damage
The apocalypse Pokémon. A legendary Pokémon that no one has ever seen. Only ancient legends speak of a child who stopped it from awakening within a star. Said to be the younger sibling of the two. Is said to have the power to reset the world (Is the younger brother). A Pokémon with unstoppable power to the point not even it can control it. It’s sheer presence alone is capable of rending lands asunder. It is said that when this Pokémon awakens, all things will end. However legends also state this Pokémon willingly went into an eternal sleep to prevent this. It’s also said that when it first appeared a human with unspeakable honor in themselves was able to tame this power. But after their death appacion went back to an unstoppable rampage against its wishes. As it sleeps it sees the world through its sister’s eyes. It is said to be a giant steel lion that has poison flows through its fangs. The poison that drips is capable of permanently altering the planet (how though is never stated.)
I wanted to make all of the legendary Pokémon in this trio extremely overpowered in their own ways. Auyrm being an unbreakable wall while appacion is a spear that pierces any wall. Appacion’s description is vague on purpose as no one knows what it looks like.

Ottuwa’s legendary trio. The trio of concepts.
Auyrm. Type dragon fairy. Base stats 150 hp, 30 attack, 125 defense, 150 special attack, 85 special defense, 140 speed. Unique ability. Crystal cloud. All special attacks used on this Pokémon will do half damage. Also a cloud of crystals form around this when it enters battle, causing all physical attacks from both sides to have a slight chance of missing. This effect will vanish after 2 turns. Unique move Dragonconic aurora. A pulse like wave of energy flies through the air in a similar look of the Aurora Borealis. Base damage is 100. Accuracy is 100. And will hit all enemy Pokémon. If the move hits it has a 10% chance of freezing the opponent. This move is also an fairy type move.
Auyrm is known as the imagination Pokémon, while legends of this Pokémon date back to the distant past, physical records are much more recent. Only a couple hundred years ago was this pokemon’s name ever written down. In its legends it is described in legends as a child that stopped its sibling Apacion from awakening within a star. Said to be Apacion’s older sibling. Said to be the source of creativity. (Said to be apacion’s older sister). It has been described as being a quadrupedal creature with a beast like head. It has no hands, but it does have wings where arms and hands would be. It is incredibly kind and naturing to children. It has been said to save people who get lost anywhere in ottuwa, but seems to have a preference for protecting children. While photos of this Pokémon don’t exist, all who view it claim it shines brightly like an Aurora. Legends state that this Pokémon gifted creativity and imagination to humans.

You know what. Underrated Pokémon opinions. Literally anything is allowed, please do not argue. Debate is ok, but fighting and hating others for other beliefs is wrong.
I’ll go first. I don’t mind chimchar becoming a fire fighting type because it shows how the physical special split works. Chairman rose isn’t a bad villain, just terribly written. I actually don’t want Pokémon games to get harder. I do not mind the national dex cut as I have never once cared about catching them all, still hate that it happened though. Pokémon desgins have been getting better with each generation (on average). And last but not least, I like item based Pokémon.

Leave this to me. Is there any cracks on the mask? Yamask’s masks are incredibly important to them. Even a small crack can cause a major upset with them. Even if there is no visible cracks, I recommend checking them with a magnifying lens. If there are no cracks. Immediately take them to a Pokémon center. This could be an issue with the ghostly part of its body. If there is a crack. Try to calm down your partner and immediately try to find anyone nearby who has any experience with clay and fixing clay products. Do not attempt to fix it yourself with glue. Yamask masks require a special plaster. I should note even a crack of a couple nanometers is an incredibly painful to them. So if there is no one nearby with the minimum requirements, take them to a Pokémon center. They will bring in a specialist for this single purpose, I will warn it is incredibly expensive. Afterwards they will give some basic plasters to put over the mask to strengthen it. Hope this helps
Hey my yamask kept crying I need help
What should I do
Well gosh, I'm not sure. If it was a Yanma I'd be able to tell you that you should check it over for any obvious injuries, then take it to a pokecenter for follow up. Even if there's nothing physically wrong, centers have trained staff that are pretty good about identifying possible emotional problems.
...Actually, that's pretty good advice either way. I don't know much about ghosts, so asking someone with more generalized poke-knowledge and care might help. They can also direct you to any resident experts, or help you get in contact with one they have in their registry system.

Ok. I’m finally motivated to do more daily Pokémon stuff. I am now just going to do it on ground types, and when that’s done I shall go to poison types, then finally steel types. Today I shall go over one of my favorite ground types (when it comes to researching) Runerigus!
I’ll be honest, I have no idea why I love them. But they are just so interesting to me. I’ve decided to change the format of this a bit.
Basic care: These are weird pokemon to care for. This is because they don’t require food, they can eat and benefit by doing so, but it’s not required. Runerigus, similar to ghost types like shuppet and gastly, can eat negative emotions. However this is not their main food source. Their main food source is actually spirit energy, not souls. Raising a runerigus that doesn’t enjoy eating normal food can kill someone. Every living thing produces a bit of spirit energy, some people produce way more though. To take great care of a runerigus, you must either have a strong spirit or tons of people and Pokémon around. You will get tired though. Many ruinregus actually understand this and are willing to help out around the house. They are surprisingly kind pokemon, well as kind as Pokémon that main food source is the life energy we produce. Runerigus are also much more intelligent than at first glance, I’ve only met two and both were smarter than me. Runerigus also don’t sleep. They do go motionless to conserve energy, but they don’t sleep. They are also incredibly good guards as they will protect things their trainers own with tons of pride. They also require a bit more personal space than say a lilipup or growlethe. A small room, or even a closet works perfectly for them. They actually tend to enjoy small dark spaces. But some do prefer large open spaces.
Personal notes: ruinregus is a fascinating species for me. Almost every time I discover something new about this species, the more and more I wanna go to galar to befriend one. However they do require a lot more care than I can give with my current schedule. This is a ground type Pokémon for experts to raise. Do not raise this Pokémon without ghost type knowledge. Still, I love them.
Also as a bit of an add on. Due to many things right now, I will only be doing this series when I get a chance. It will no longer be daily

You know what. I’m going to just go over basic tips for random ground type species. TIME TO SPIN THE WHEEL
*goes to random Pokémon generator and gets marowak*
Well… ironically one of the few ground types I’ve never met in real life. But I do know quite a bit. We will be talking about the kantonian version only, I have no idea how to take care of an alolan one. First things first. If you’ve been raising it since it was a cubone. It will naturally be very protective. Contrary to the Pokédex, the ‘skull’ isn’t actually a skull. It’s more like an extremely loose exoskeleton. Even that isn’t a very good explanation at all. Not much is known on where the ‘skull’ comes from. What we do know is that cubone produce it on its own. It will naturally fuse with it as it evolves. The bone is it’s most cherished thing (outside of its trainer if it was raised from birth). Marowak are very loyal to their family and friends. Because of this they get along well with most Pokémon, the only exception is mandibuzz. While they can get along, this is incredibly rare as madibuzz are cubone’s natural predator. They will often fight, however this can be removed if in a place both know that there is no reason to. Marowak will not attack mandibuzz if it is a place that it feels incredibly safe at. Same with mandibuzz. If both were wild before, they will never get along. I wish I could give more details other than this, but I don’t have a lot of information on marowak other than what I’ve said. I am planning on eventually heading to kanto to research them though
#pokemon#pokémon-ranger-site-agent#will probably start doing this kinda stuff with steel and poison types as well#marowak#mandibuzz#cubone#if anyone has any Pokémon they wish for me to give tips about just ask

If I’ve learned anything with steel types. Is that they can either be the most durable Pokémon ever when it comes to living situations, or the exact opposite. My bisharp refuses to go anywhere during a heat wave unless it’s for swimming. Cold on the other hand. He has a room to himself and it is currently freezing in there.

Today a random towns person asked me if I had any recommendations for new Pokémon for people new to country life and also have anxiety. Since I realized that not everyone has the same knowledge I do, I thought I make a post about what I recommended.
1st. Shuppet or solosis for the anxiety part. Shuppet naturally feed off negative emotions, so they are amazing partners for people who have depression, anxiety, or just having a bad day. Solosis, while don’t feed off these emotions, are amazing at recognizing them and suppressing them with their psychic powers. They won’t do so on someone who is unwilling or unfamiliar to them though.
2nd. Since the area I live in is extremely marshy, I recommended any frog like Pokémon. Politoad, palpatoad, tympol, and seismitoad came to mind immediately. While they can be hard to care for, there are tons of wild ones in this area. And since I knew he lived here, I have tons of experience with seismitoad specifically, they were the very first Pokémon I studied to take care of.
3rd. Oddish, while I admit I have the exact opposite of a green thumb (please for anything grass type related go to prof peach. She is infinitely better at this than I could hope to be) I am very knowledgeable at poison types, and oddish are very durable and resistant to tons of things. Just be careful of pesticides.
And finally. Dog Pokémon. If they are outdoor Pokémon, they will have tons of room to run around and have fun. Just be careful to keep them away from anything they shouldn’t be near.

Clay wakes up as the plane lands. Two weeks have passed since the ursaluna appeared. Using his knowledge of ancient mythologies, he was able to determine it wasn’t a normal ursaluna. It was an alpha. Thankfully he was able to put it in a special ball that won’t connect to the internet, guess that is one of the bright sides of living out in the country. You get creative and have to adapt. The Heracross, which he nicknamed Herc stayed back at his place. Since he doesn’t plan on battling, he only brought two Pokémon. Galven the joltik and bishop the bisharp. His cousin Emma is waiting for him. Emma Light. She was always top of her class, a prodigy in the most traditional sense. So it was surprising to everyone when she didn’t choose a traditional job and went to become a fashion designer in nimbasa. Clay was surprisingly the only person who supported her. After all, he was already an outcast so why not just say what he believed was right. And that was one of the best things he ever did, Emma went on to become an underground sensation. Even Elesa has worn her clothes to fashion shows before. Emma was smart enough to hide her identity, she never really cared about fame or popularity.
Clay smiled as he steps outta the plane with his bags, although it’s only for a couple days before he heads out to head to Castelia city for the huge ranger meeting. He plans on having some fun in the city. However he also plans to see Emmet. After all, he was one of the first to be put on that case. He had personally asked for it, after all he always did look up to the two. Clay even wanted to be a subway boss like them at one point. But that went dashed up in flames, but that’s a story for another day. He smiled as he might’ve finally had some clue to Ingo’s location. That ursaluna and Herc both had the same energy signatures on them as he detected in the same place Ingo was last seen. But Clay isn’t the kind of guy to give hope without knowing if it’s true. As he stepped to see his cousin in person for the first time in over 2 years, he could tell something was bugging her. Maybe quite literally. Then again, Emma did have a phobia of bug type Pokémon. Especially beedrill, a terrible experience when your little will do that to you. Thankfully, from what he’s heard from her anyway, she is getting better with it. She was even the one to ask if Galven could come. Clay was ok with it, after all. He didn’t wanna leave Galven to eat all the batteries he has. After a bit of chit chat, and introducing Galven, they head to her place so Clay can unpack. It was much easier to stay with family than pay for a hotel he would barely be at.
When he finally arrived he could tell something was strange. Emma finally said it “so… I saw a Pokémon I didn’t recognize last night. I tossed a pokeball in reflex. And it worked. I thought you’d recognize it.”
Clay walked into the room it was in… his jaw almost dropped. It was clearly a sneasel, but not one he’d ever seen before. It was purple. It was acting very docile, again nothing like he could expect. He pulled his Pokédex out, but nothing. He then started to inspect it. And he realized what it was… hisuain sneasel. But that’s impossible… then again he did find an ursaluna recently. However what caught his attention the most, was a single piece of cloth. It was part of Ingo’s famous coat. Clay now knew there was a connection between the ursaluna, this sneasel, and Ingo. But how?
Meanwhile in another place
A man wakes up looking into the skies. A familiar place, but not one he recognized one bit. Or at least, he couldn’t remember if he could. Before he could get up, a Pokémon’s claw stretched out to help him
