I think, if I had access to ANY existing pokémon since the beginning on the game and I didn’t have to worry about type coverage, my dream team would be

flygon (aka my fave pokémon as many probably know)

aggron (Big.)

feraligatr

exploud (unpopular opinion but this pokémon is GOOD and yall are WRONG. normal types are underrated, especially now that TM’s can be used over and over they’ve become OP)

The reason for that is that I love their design, their movepool is overall pretty good (mawile and feraligatr are a bit weaker on that side, but you can make it work anyway imo), and aside from flygon they’re all pretty tanky, which is something I like, especially in slower pokémon like them.

now, if I had to pick a more balanced team, again assuming I could have access to every pokémon in the game (excluding legendaries, because I personally find them boring to use during single player), I’d go with something like:

eelektross (which I also really like!!! honestly how is this pokémon not popular. it’s a pure electric type that’s immune to earth attacks. come on guys.)

zoroark (love its ability)

alolan raichu

mega houndoom (I always wanted to train one, but I never had the chance to!)

lapras (good movepool, good defense)

garchomp

and I’m not going to waste everybody’s time with a possible competetive team because that would be boring as hell but. that’s my answer!! thank u I really had fun with this
