I haven't been interested in romance novels since I was in highschool and was completely enamoured by Sherrilyn Kenyon's work. And I don't think anything can compare to that. Acheron is my favorite and his book made me cry.

#im asexual so i skipped the sex scenes because just reading them gives me second hand embarrassment and i feel uncomfortable #but i always liked the writing and the strong characters #ugh im never gonna find a high like that again #point being i found a romance novel that looks interesting called pestilence and i read the first chapter and the writing is really good #but i am also just weary #because i have a bitch of a high standard for romance novels #like idk man idk #im just not a romance girly #like dont get me wrong i love love love a good romance but i like the story and the characters #and i feel like a lot of stuff is overhyped #idk like i feel like booktok is obsessed with spice #and im just here like give me a good ass book #its in my cart. . . im debating just waiting till the weekend and picking it up at the store #i dont want to support jeff and his products
