Pregnant

The next morning i peed on a stick.

Hit repeat.

Pause.

I walk around in slow motion

the rest of the day.                          Each frame vivid.

My enunciation clear.

Every gesture proscribed.

Every other pause

                                          pregnant

with meaning.

This must be what I do

when I have no other choice.

I have become a method actor in my own life.
