Today we visit the Highland Folk Museum in Kingussie, Newtonmore. It is Britain's first open-air museum and provides a look into the life of Highland people from the 1700s through the 1960s. Its attractions include a 1700s township and a 1930s working croft. The Museum was used for filming period scenes in Outlander, including when Dougal MacKenzie collected rents and for the wool-waulking scene. May of next year, our #PodAbroad2018 guests will visit Tullibardine Chapel. Near Auchterarder, Perth and Kinross, this location was used to film the scenes in the church where Claire, Jamie, and the others hide while Claire tends to Rupert's injured eye in Season 2's episode 11, "Vengeance is Mine."
