Skip Walker:

Protagonist of the Prequel, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Team Aquableze. He went back to the human world and has settled back into human stuff. But not for long >:)

Flame Scorcher:

The other protagonist of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Team Aquableze. After Skip lefty, he continued with their rescue team, becoming platinum rank. To celebrate, he and his family go on a vacation to the Lagoona Region! Which turns out to not be a very good idea...

Trevor Taigar:

Skip's human friend. He has a fear of growlithes and arcanines.

Don't pay attention to his growlithe form. It's definitely not important at all :>

Val Torian:

Flame's Ninetales Partner/wife. They went on vacation to her hometown in the Lagoona region. That's when thing's got weird.

Ignore her human form. It't not important to the plot :>

Sal Torian:

Flame and Val's daughter. Very chaotic. Interested in humans. (her human form? Oh that's not important too.)

Bernie Scorcher:

Flame and Val's son, and Sal's younger brother. Less of a troublemaker than his sister, but compliant in her antics.

Hess Torian:

Val's superstitious younger brother. lives with her parents int he Lagoona region. Get involved with the plot against his will.

Lyca:

Skip's Lycanroc pokemon. Independent and can fend for herself. Skip lets her do her own thing most of the time.

Sanders:

Trevor's sandshrew pokemon. Does not like to listen to his trainer. Does his own thing, despite protests from his trainer.

I just tried to download it on both my phone and PC and it seemed to work fine for me, but if it's not working for you, it might be an issue with your popup blocker? The way itch does downloads is it opens a popup over the current page which starts the download, so if your popup blocker prevents that, it might be the source of the issue.

My PCs are a trio of humans from the past brought forward into the future for a reason I haven't yet figured out.

Jack - a Floragato, 50s, brawler type, would be a Ranger in x2, no amensia

??? - a Braxien, 40s, long range attacker, would be a Sharpshooter focused on rifles in x2, no amnesia, we don't know their name yet

Violet - a Riolu, early 20s, would be a Psi Op in x2, standard PMD amnesiac

They've started on the Mist Continent, in the ruins of a human city.
