The DoD Cast but my Version | Part 01

This is part one of the cast of DoD by my ver/AU designs of them.

From left to right we have: Clay, Tsunami, & Glory.

These designs are based on what I would I have done if I made the designs for the tribes (bcs I think the Canon designs for the tribes just look... kinda boring imo? Plz dont attack me plz, i just wanna be creative + THESE ARE MY VERSIONS! Not redesigns.)

Anyways some changes I made to them:

Clay now has a grey-ish brown tint which can become even greyer if in contact with water or a bright red color if he goes into contact with heat.

Clay now has droopy ears (bcs you don't want mud in yur ears do u?) & strange antennas to feel the air when going into mud. They're meant to Mimic cattails or rice plants but whatever I was lazy as hell.

Tsu now has a orange underbelly due to the fact that water can also be a orangey brown. (Alos bcs it felt weird to just have a sea dragon only be blue & green with out taking in the fact the same is pretty colorful)

Tsu has semi-squidish eyes. Don't ask why I gave her these i just thought it be neat to give her the eyes of a squid which are round. (Also gave her more head fins bcs well.. FISH!)

Didn't change much about Glory other than her coloration which is slightly based on the moring glory. I did however give her some more patterns & whiskers. (Bcs of what a frend told me)

I did infact swap the eye color of both Clay & Glory since well... Idk I just like it when the eye is a different color from the main body itself.

Thats really it for the changes of these designs.

I know that they look kinda Goofy, especially Tsu, but I HAVENT DRAWN DRAGONS IN AWHILE, ONLY HUMANOID CREATURES, SO OF COURSE THEY WOULD BE A BIT GOOFY!

Anyways uh... Imma prob gonna draw Starflight & Sumby (Sunny) now & maybe make a Skywing fella afterwards named Sulfer who deff isn't gonna be the Skywing that was supposed to be in the prophecy but then his egg got smushed so in this AU of mine imma make it so the egg he was in was STOLEN from Hutvr (I can't spell his name help-) & was raised as a thief. (Bcs in the original Hutvr fracking dies also)

It's both an AU, and a fic so I apologize if things get messed up. So when I say "Undertake Sans/Papyrus/Person" it refers to my AU rather than the original "classic". My fic refers to the "6 skeletons, one human" trope and the AU focuses on details from the Undertake universe.

I may have over explained, but I wanted to keep that clear- And most of this post will take the time to talk about the plot and lore of the fic.

As I've said before, Undertake is just a sillier version of Undertale where shenanigans happen all the time on the surface. But I've never explained fully why. Welp! Here you go....

We all know how the trope goes. Sans tries to get his Dad back, and succeeds! Except this time, it's on the surface. And Frisk doesn't feel like...Frisk. Anyways, bringing Gaster back from the Void has caused complications within the universe, about 5 years after monsters resurfaced.

"One time things" turn into regular occurrences, stereotypical situations that would never happen in real life are happening, it's overall stupidity!

But Sans and Reader are the only ones who "know" about this change. Sans just rolls along with it, using this as a breather from past resets. Reader, on the other hand, has whiplash from the whole thing. When did everything change? and why? Something felt wrong in their SOUL. Everyone else seems to fit into this random "normal" and it pisses reader off.

But they're a kid. They don't know what they're talking about, so they ignore them as best as they can.

Since every monster is on the surface, and pretty much all need jobs, Sans becomes a scientist of sorts. He represents most monster scientists, and helps humans with the evolution of magic-science. He doesn't work all the time, that's a big role to fit in; something Alphy's would gladly take, and so he mostly works on projects at home.

Integrating n shit, I'll leave those details to the fic.

After getting licensed, transferring his master's degree in physics, and getting all the tools he needs, he decides to re-build gaster's machine to bring him back.

Mind you, this is a year after they get to the surface, so nothing has changed yet. When Gaster came through the machine (I'll draw it so you can get a better representation of what it looks like) he was horrified.

Why was he melting? His face was now stuck in a forever frown. Looking at his hands, you could still see the holes engraved into them from when he was first born.

He began to sign something ancient, a language horrifically nostalgic he almost forgot to catch what he was saying.

But before he could respond, the world went black. There was a wild pulsing in his SOUL before the world went black.

I'm not gonna drop too much, because I don't wanna spoil any plans I have for this, but thank you so much for this ask!! I might even start writing chapters in January

Just wanted to put up some rules for this account INCASE you are at the wrong page. Some rules may relate to content that I HAVENT posted YET, but even so I still will put them up.

Due to this, my content may be either slightly suggestive, venty (I may vent/rant sometimes in the future, but they're not full on), body horror possibly, gorey and violent. Or! Suggestions such as improvement? I might not be comfortable with it, but no hate at all to those who just wanna give constructive criticism in a good way. I appreciate it a lot, but maybe my sensitive lil ahh won't be able to take it since yeah, I love how I draw cuz it's my own artstyle (Inspired by others ofc)

Feedback on my art is okay, but please base it around my hyperfixations. What I mean by that is if I just so happen to mischaracterize a specific character or something like that, you can inform me otherwise. But please be respectful about it instead of going like " [INSERT CHARACTER] DOESNT DO THAT!" or "Girl have you not watched the series/show or smt 💀", I'm not aware of my own actions sometimes 😞

5] - Don't ask me to be your friend when you've just so happened to cross my account. I've been a bit too nice in the past and just accepted random strangers friend requests w/o even getting to know them. But even so, those people turned out to be amazing. Please just don't ask me to be your friend either because I'm your idol or you just assume/ think im a cool person. Getting to know each other is WAY better so please, I'd appreciate it a lot🙏

And even if I still dont wanna be your friend, dont take it the wrong way please. It's either because I still don't feel comfortable, I don't feel like it, or I just don't want to in general. Please be respectful, thank you.

1. What canon character(s) do you love to draw the most? (And why?)

As of NOW, it’s changed considerably. Tbh I think I’m still finding out who is the favorite to actually draw vs. a character I just happen to draw a lot. …So on that end i’m gonna refer to old but gold, Yamcha MIGHT still be my top favorite to actually draw. It’s just been a hot minute. His design means the world to me. Even if in toriyama-land he’s default generic pretty man. with scaaaarssss. AIN’T NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT IN MY HOUSE!!!

12. Which OC do you love to draw the most? (And why?)

I have a new favorite now starting back in April. WHOMST? she’s hasn’t been introduced yet. At least not formally up here? I like drawing her because (and im gonna sound so,,,), anyway after all the bs irl from then to now, she’s now my comfort character. Im obsessed with indulgent scenarios mkay. Though she has cameo’d twice so far publicly. But she’s inevitable just gimme a hot minute to stop being cryptic for no reason , here’s important stuff

4. What type of colors do you like using in your art? (And why?)

I’M FINDING MYSELF USING A LOT MORE BLUES AND GREENS NOW and anything in that group.

Not unless something is asked in specific and caters to a specific persons needs. TIP: there’s no ONE way to approach anything. Like!! If that video tutorial someone pedantically linked in a discord channel isn’t helping you then!! It’S FINE TO try something else! Or if google searching isn’t teaching you then ask someone else! …but plz be cooperative about it and open to listen, i know i just said there’s no “one way” to do something (and there isn’t, these arent contradicting statements) but the amount of times i’ve seen art advice fall on deaf ears because the asker just was not cooperative despite inciting kills me.

Also plz learn fundamentals i know they are tedious, boring, and seemingly useless (aND ARE THEY EVER so not-fun to learn, take from someone who had to start at the beginning every new class for a D E C A D E), buT it COMES BACK SO OFTEN and is more universal than people assume. Then hey, maybe that tiktok “art shortcut” will finally make sense or be a little easier to grasp. Yeah shortcuts are cool n all but that shortcut was made by someone who considers all this “second-nature” and has like, years of foundations under their belt to MAKE that sorta thing 😭

actually now that i think about it all this is like the equivalent of ppl buying those old “how to draw whatever” books back in middle school but instead of reading the material, people just looked at the pictures and skipped to idk tracing the final results. Meme the chris hart books all you want (there’s a lot to lol at, especially in a modern lens) but those foundational portions early on in those text blocks aRE sAying universal things!! dont hate me for this, but i kinda feel bad for gilded ash. here's how i see it: they're playing an online game, and they wanted to make some money/be cool by being a good artist. but they can't draw. so, they decided to take the easy route of using ai to do art instead. they were probably just happy "their art" is good. but then it was revealed that they used ai to do art, and artists who actually worked for their skills didnt like that (and they're justified in this) for two main reasons. 1. ai art isnt seen as real and original art since it uses art from other artists instead. its pretty much tracing. 2. they feel ai growing is inevitable which is going to cause real art to become less popular, and real artists are going to lose their job. so all of these artists are suddenly on top of them, telling them (nicely) that ai art isnt real, and telling them to practice actual art so their skills grow instead. here's the problem. no matter how nicely you say it, a ton of people telling a kid they did something wrong isnt exactly going to help the kid learn. here's what most likely is going to happen because of this in my opinion:

1. gilded ash is gonna feel sad that most of the ph community is dissapointed in them. (a good portion of the trending feeds were related to them) they got so much hate, and they're saying they're going to leave, but lets be honest here how long are they going to really stay away from such an addicting game? they're going to come back and stay in the shadows hoping the dissapointment slowly fades

2. they'll probably attempt to learn how to actually draw, but then once again become dissapointed with the outcome. my guess is they'll go somewhere else and start using ai art again. 

3. in a few years, they'll mature and realize, woah i was in the wrong there! but this would've happened even without half of ph getting riled up about this. because honestly, how long is a kid using ai to make art going to last? either they'll get bored of it and quit online game sites and stuff, or they'll grow and realize they shouldn't be doing this. if a kid is actually drawing, then they'll get better over time and keep at it, hoping to get even better. there's not much to improve with ai art, so there's not much encouragement to keep you going. all of this happening is unnecessary, it's really helping them to stop using ai art any sooner.

sooo here's what im trying to say: yes, the artists are trying to help them, not make them feel bad. but you have to put yourself in their shoes. kids aren't going to change just because a ton of people are nicely asking them to. they'll feel pressured, sad, and upset instead. a kid wants love, not hate and dissapointment. they made a mistake but a ton of people coming at them isnt going to fix that mistake. think: if i was a 12 year old (give or take) what would help me to actually change? lets be honest its not a ton of people (mostly adults) trying to give you advice "nicely" over a browser game.

i have had this "eggman adopts sonic" au going for about 10 months now and came up with it independent of other AUs i was familiar with at the time. i invite others to make those AUs as well, different interpretations of the concept are always fun to see, and i also welcome reinterpretations of my au. feel free to use my design for little egghog sonic as inspiration, it's just classic sonic in eggman's outfit

HOWEVER. please do not use my art/images for your own purposes or AUs. please either draw your own artwork or commission an artist to make it.

this specific design (classic sonic in classic eggman's outfit) isn't exactly some unique concept do nut steel so idc if you take and reinterpret the concept, just don't use my art or writing for your own stuff

also for my followers reading this: i dont care if you reinterpret egghogs as long as you don't make a FNF mod or use my art/trace my art for your own purposes. i would also prefer if people didn't use the teenage egghogs' outfit designs for AUs completely seperate in concept (stuff like abbysfandomdump's reimagining is delightful and encouraged, love love love love love).

i can't really enforce that preference because it's just sonic characters in little outfits, i don't "own" them, but. yknow. if youve got a completely seperate au going with its own isolated story (not an interpretation of "my" story) and you use the designs i made then plz actually don't do that

Queen Lightbringer Ref | DT

Dont ask why she uh... NaKeD? (It's bcs I can't draw clothes on a frikin lizerd with wings, man, ITS SIMPLE AS THAT-)

Anyways, This is Queen Lightbringer, she hatched on a Lunar Eclipse, which is why she is tinted red (If you wanna learn more, you can go here). I don't know much about her (bcs her creator/owner (My frend Leo) didn't write her a backstory :') ) but all I can say is, she's a TALL Nightwing with a weird red tint which normie ahh Nighywings don't have also 2 colored silver scales (that also give her weird powers) that look like eyes bcs eclipses can do that now apparently. Oh yeh Eclipsed-Nightwings also have glowing eye scale patterns under their wings now. (Also her pupils are white & glow, weird am I right?)

Now as for the Bio... idk man... This is more of a placeholder bio than anything. VVV
