The Native Americans
Contrary to popular belief, the Native Americans, were highly developed before contact, with the western world.
The Clovis Paleo Indians could be seperated into two groups:
Northern American
Central and Southern American
Ancestral pueblo peoples - lived in the Utah, Colorado, Arizona and Mexico area.
Inkas - Built Machu Pich, Lived in today’s Peruu, they were the largest civilization in America at that time. Colonization and diseases that the europeans brought over, destroyed their civilization. Around 8 million people spill speak their language.
Mayans - Built Pyramid temples and became extinct in the year 900. They were the most advanced civilization in America for their time.
Toltecs - 10-13th century, lived in Central America
Aztecs - Built giant pyramids as well. They built them as signs of conquest. They lived during the 13th century.
Native Americans have had their fair share of struggles fighting for their freedom and equality.
In 1787 the Northwest Ordinance created the Northwestern territory and separated the Indians from the Europeans.
Indian Removal Act of 1830, was the act to remove all Native Americans from West of the Mississippi.
Reservations - areas, which were taken and designated to Natives during the Indian Removal Act.
Indian citizenship Act of 1924 - this act granted citizenship to all Native Americans born on US soil.
Trail of Broken Treaties of 1972 - drew the attention and raised awareness for unresolved Indian issues, but it ultimately failed its goal.
Many Native Americans still face excessive problems even today, for example they’ve been Isolated into collonies, which are far away from good education, and most people there don’t have enough money to spend to send their children to expensive schools. The hygene coditions there aren’t ideal as well. The mental health of young Native Americans is very poor, due to the lack of proper help and excessive bullying over cultural and racial differences.
The first succesful Colony that was inhabited by europeans was James Town, Virginia. It was the base of America as we know it.
In 1620 a ship called the Mayflower set off for the Americas, with The First Pilgrims on board heading for the New World. The seas were rough, and they lost a lot of people on the way to disease and hunger, they even got pushed off course by a massive storm.
The Pilgrims signed the Mayflower compact, which was a fundamental form of democracy and founded the Puritan colony in Plyouth.
The first winter was rough but they managed to survive, in 1621 the first Thanksgiving was held, where the Native Americans and the Pilgrims celebrated the Pilgrims’ first succesful harvest.

Newcastle United boss Rafael Benitez will be reportedly willing to let youth prospect Elias Sorensen leave the club on loan this month. Sorensen has been exceptional for Newcastle’s Under-23 side this season, scoring an impressive 19 goals in all competitions - his performances have left him with no shortage of suitors in the lower tiers. Arsenal u18s defeat Reading 4-0 despite squad issues
Arsenal’s u18s managed an emphatic win against Reading on Saturday, which was perhaps surprising given the circumstances of the victory. For one thing, the u18s were coming off the back of a loss to Manchester United, throwing away a 3-0 lead to lose 4-3. So it was good to see the team back on track so impressively. https://twitter.com/PLYouth/status/911623007013097472 However, there were also a…
