Okay okay I’ve finished Plato’s republic AND citizen by Claudia Rankine!! If anyone has any theory or philosophy or even just non-fiction suggestions please shoot em my way because I’m trying to fix my issue of only reading fantasy and scifi

#it’s not that I’ve never read theory or philosophy I read quite a bit of both in college but I’ve been out for about a year now and I’m #running out of things to read that I know of #plus my philosophy class was specifically focused on death and dying so we read like. stoic philosophy on the concept of mourning. and #stuff like that. we read Judith Butler and bell hooks and stuff like that in my gender studies class #we read a ton of small cultural theory papers and beloved by Morrison (not technically theory but SO good) in my cultural theory class #it’s not like I HAVENT done these things but I’ve never done it in a way not guided by a professor and not in discussion with peers #and so trying to start reading this stuff on my own I’m finding I don’t know where to go next ya know?#I had several ‘feminist theory’ and ‘read to piss off your maga dad’ and ‘intersectional reading lists’ saved on TikTok but then I got #banned for reporting legit misinformation and telling others to do the same (insanity) and so I lose them
