have been binge rewatching beyburst while working on the painting. i got thru episode 15 already </3 send help it’s making me super emotional

#i miss when i first watched it#i also miss my friends#i love all of them so deeply! i am living for them! i want to see all of them happy or at least see them at all!#ugh friendship should not be viewed as such a cliche. it’s the most important thing ever actually.#also wow i forgot how much i love daina and kensuke💛 your honor i care them#daina did. so much for souta and i love the character development he just Continued To Get throughout the season. he started as what-#-could’ve easily been a low-effort trope but became something far better#actually come to think of it burst did that a lot didn’t they#like kensuke was supposed to be the ‘shy weird kid’ at first but he was really sweet and funny! shu was set up where he could’ve been the-#-edgy n cold main rival but he was more complex than that! his character showed a lot of cause and effect over the course of burst i think#as a whole it could have been cliche and boring but instead it really developed characters and broke lots of stereotypes#especially within that kind of media#and even when it did have side characters that were sorta tropes it made a lot of them feel like more than just a cookie cutter filler ykno#and i love burst for that#plus i finally got to the point where xhaka showed up !!!!! the fave! the bestie! absolutely stunning!#listen whenever i have to explain to ppl why he’s one of my favorites t’s so hard to do#because with a lot of other characters i’m like ‘wow so basically they have good plot points/character development/motives/etc’#but with this it’s just#funney guy who is Actually Really Nice too. really pretty. occasionally Just Fucking Loses It which i think is good since it makes for a-#more grounded n perhaps fleshed out character. breaks it up from the ‘this guy is ALWAYS upbeat and laughing and only knows how to be-#-positive’ because#that’s Not How People Work#Extremely Good Vibes. he jumps off of obscenely high places (same hat! as i’ve mentioned when i was a kid i did this often and somehow-#-never got Noticeably Injured from it. any time i see someone real or otherwise who does that there is a spiritual connection /hj)#(and i don’t mean ‘high up for like an 8 year old’ i mean jumping off of part of the playground that was higher than the houses near my-#-old school. teachers who called me mature and insightful never knew what a dumbass i was and always have been <3 tangent over tho)#(tangent reopened actually because i’m tired and derailing the conversation did you know that i used Epic Science Facts to learn how to-#-Not Die? because if u time the way ur knees bend as u hit the ground you can bring ur weight down in a way that will cause noticeably less#-feeling on impact. true story. maybe i was smart but in an impulsive way)#anyway i guess there is reasoning behind it. i’m out of tag space. .woof.
