i for one, would really like gotham to beat portland today
#like one bc i want gotham to do well#two bc i want to rub it in the wave “we won the league”'s face#and 3 bc i think we can knock portland down a peg [despite the results of last week's game]#like i'm not an alex morgan anti but i am an sd wave anti#everyone in the usa knows that having the best regular season record means nothing if you can't perform in the playoffs#plus “winning the league” is so anti climactic- which checks out with the whole usa playoff structure#i want a nail biter a narrative a story and that's exactly what last year's final gave me
