I accidentally posted a request from @invaderzia1 without finishing because I'm actually dumb,

But I was asked to make a continuation of this post, specifically about what led up to it!

Rock Lee: For Youth!!

Lee first saw you tending to flowers near the river, when he was contemplating whether he should go through with his surgery or not

After getting reassurance from Guy Sensei, you had already disappeared from where you were sitting

He asked around about you, based off of the short glimpse he caught

This was somewhat counterintuitive because his description left everyone confused

Months had passed; one day Lee decided to train by the river instead of his usual spot in the forest

Lee sees you tending to plants AGAIN

*curiosity intensifies*

Usually, he's quite confident and extroverted

Not this time LOL

He decided to keep his distance and watch, since you seemed so focused

Also you were pretty and therefore intimidating

This continued for weeks

Poor boy is so distraught, he can't seem to find the courage to just go talk to you

Asked Sakura and Neji for advice several times

They both got sick of him sulking and threatened to beat him up if he didn't talk to you by the end of the week

"E-Excuse me.! May I sit next to you??"

*ANXIETY ™*

Looking up, you notice it's that loud guy who trains nearby, and immediately light up because he seems sO COOL AND FUN from what you've seen; "Sure, by all means!"

He developed a crush right then and there after seeing that smile

Lots of conversations about plants and training

You started growing flowers and plants near his training area

Taught him how to make flower crowns

If you weren't already watching him train, usually he'd come find you afterwards and hang out with you

Brings you cool plants and flowers he found while away on missions

You realized he liked you after a few months, but he seemed too nervous to say anything

So you tried to show how you felt by growing him a lotus to keep in his room; "I hope you like it! Maybe it'll motivate you, or remind you of me when looking at it.!"

Lee's heart MELTED at the sight and kind words

Thought of how to tell you how he felt while looking at the gift

A few weeks later he finally got the courage to tell you, "I really like you!! P-Please don't let my feelings change our friendship though.. So what I mean is, you do not have to like me back, it's okay.!"

This made you sad, so you grabbed his hand and explained that you reciprocated his feelings

His palm was sweaty

Knees weak, arms are heavy

Lee couldn't really believe what he was hearing, so it took a while to sink in

The rest of the week, he seemed quite shy and anxious

Always asked for permission to hold your hand or hug you

Precious bean

Constantly gushed to Sakura and Neji about you

Guy Sensei is 100% committed to this ship

Falls asleep looking at the lotus you gave him

Things slowly started falling into place and he properly asked you out

Lee almost cried when you said yes

You've been happy ever since, as you both continued to grow individually and together
