"After reading this fic, I am now accepting girlfriend applications" REAL.
I'm gonna go on a sappy ramble about why I wrote this fic under the cut, but first, thank you again, Manda!! Yazi and Fiona are beautiful; you really did them justice.
This story is everything to me bc I wrote it back in August while fully terrified of moving into a proper apartment of my own for uni and having to go to the grocery store/cook/etc for the first time in September. Despite always saying I'm Phil-coded, Yazi fully is a projection of myself. I did not know how to make pasta two months ago. I barely knew how to boil water.
The first week of moving in, I accidentally bought an absurd amount of ground turkey, felt horrible about myself, then remembered what Fiona says towards the end of that story.
"You’re still a young adult. We both are. I don’t think anybody really knows what they’re doing when they move away from home for the first time."
OMG, I pulled a Yazi! Realizing that helped me pull myself back up.
The fun thing about writing this fic has been that every time I learned a new thing, an adulty thing, I found myself chuckling "hehe just like the phanfic." Suddenly, I started growing with Yazi. She's the voice in the back of my brain cheering me on, saying "we do this together."
It's been almost an entire month, now. I do my own laundry, grocery shop, clean the goshdarn toilets all on my own.... and yeah, it's a pain on a tight schedule, but surprise! I love cooking!!! I love creating and learning and figuring out what the hell to do with 6 lbs of accidental turkey, because that means I'm growing into a more independent person than ever before.
In a way, I owe it all to these girls. Thank you, Yazi and Fiona. <3
"In another life, I would've really liked just doing laundry and taxes with you."

Phan Yuri everyone! This is art I did for @serendipnpipity phanfic, "Laundry and Taxes". This is a genderswap au of fetus dnp, so get ready for sweet 2009 emo lesbians in love. It reimagines the stories of Dan panicking at a laundromat and burning pasta. Ser really paints a domestic portrait in these chapters, and does such a good job with Yuri's (dan's) inner monologue. It is super relatable to hear her breakdown as she is realizing becoming an adult doesn't mean you actually know how to live. I also love Everything Everywhere All at Once, which is where the title of the fic is from. If you too are a sucker for the "in every universe" trope, this is a heartwarming fic that will call you single in so many ways. Go read Phan Yuri everyonneee!!
