Ahh, Grandpa Max and his evil/morally ambiguous exes. (I'll be the first one to admit some of these were a stretch, but it was for the bit ! Though the show itself acknowledged the parallels between Phil and Xylene).

This month's @ocmonthly is magic ! I surprisingly struggled with this one, turns out I don't have many characters with magic powers ? Or the ones floating in my brain don't really have a design yet.

Anyway here's this little mage (she/they), she's more of a concept than a fleshed out character at this point, but they're very fun to draw and very cute so.

Also woo traditional art for once ! i t's too goddamn hot to draw on the computer these days

Scraping by at the last minute but this @ocmonthly 's theme is short hair ! i don't have all that many ocs with short hair (because long hair is so much fun to draw), but I do have this little fella here, Owlen. Skittish, anxious, and a bit cowardly (until you push him to far), Owlen can be be a bit of a handful. He got slightly better after meeting his best friend (pictured here with the pink shirt), Trèfle, who wa very clear about what kind of shit she was willing to put up with or not.

The two care for each other very much, even though they're both too emotionally constipated to say it openly. They still have a lot to learn, like taking better care of themselves, or not working for people who will fuck them over :D

Also ! They star in this little game I made which is available in English wink wink ;)

May's theme for @ocmonthly is "fish and I am so happy because I love designing merpeople aaaaaaaaa

So anyway, this is Dulse, another character from that one game I'm planning to actually make one day I promise guys. They're a disabled merperson finding themselves a bit lonely, as they opted out of their community yearly migration. As such, they've been trying to socialize with humans more, and the curiosity mixed with the hunger for social interaction can make them come off as being a bit too much.

They're chatty and extroverted, sometimes a bit hyper, with an incredible thirst for knowledge. And they miiiiight struggling with a smidge of internalized disability (as is the mc of the game)

This is Lulle by the way. Unsurprisingly they're abrasive and blunt. They either gravitate towards people who aren't phased by their attitude or people who are easy to rile up. A bit of an asshole overall, though they do have some lines they'll take care not to cross.

@ocmonthly 's theme this month is freckles and I thought I was a basic idiot who only gave freckles to their redheads oc, but nope, there's this lovely individual !

Batti (they/them) works at an orchad, and is a laid back, playful and flirtarious person. They tend to exaggerate those characteristics in order to come across as nonthreatening (they're 6'7''), and when on their own they can be more contemplative.

They're a character for a game that I('m struggling to) work on, they mesh well with the protag and theirs is the more relaxed route. If they look different in all three drawings it's because I haven't drawn them enough to nail their design yet :')

Anyway ! I've been struggling with art lately, and I really wanted to submit a character, that was a nice, attainable goal, and I managed it :D

@ocmonthly 's april theme is red ! Despite red being my favourite color I don't have many characters with red being prominent in their palette save for their eyes/hair or accents, but I remembered this lovely lass from my mlp days.

A very nice, cheerful unicorn, with an unfortunate fascination for fire and a tendency to cause accidents. Her name is Warming Glow, iirc, I had to dig up her name from my old deviantart :')
